What you miss is who is true Israel a nation or a church made up of both Jew and gentile.

Also the last few chapters of Zechariah talks about both literal Jerusalem and the new Jerusalem the church. That’s way at one point Jerusalem is decimated and at another point protected forever.

There is no spiritual Israel in Zechariah or any part of the Old Testament.

The Jerusalem in Zechariah has Mount Olive, the place Jesus ascended from in Acts, that tge angel said the same Jesus wiukd return in the same way and to the same place He left.

In Zechariah 14:5 Jesus returns to Mount Olive.

Zechariah talks about the HOUSE of Judah and the House of David and the CLANS of Israel, making it about national Israel and Judah, not so called spiritual Israel.

There is no new Jerusalem either, in the entire Old Testament.

The city new Jerusalem doesn’t show up until Revelation 21, when it descends down from heaven.

(Verse 8) The river of life is seen, Rev 22:1-5

(Verse 10) The New creation is being revealed, the plain is lifted up.
