Jesus is the cornerstone of the 3rd Temple.
He who was rejected by men became the cornerstone.
"The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner."
Psalm 118:22
A cornerstone is the first stone laid in the building of a structure. It is the stone that all the stones to come thereafter are set by, that all are aligned with in order to ensure that the structure is squared properly and sound.
" ... ye are ... fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the Apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the Chief Cornerstone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God (*holy place*) through the Spirit.
Ephesians 2:19-22
"When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand: )
Matthew 25:15
We are the holy place. True Believers are God's 3rd Temple.
" ... as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious, Ye also as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ (the first and most important stone; chief cornerstone)."
1 Peter 2:5
When Jesus prophesied to the Jews that if the temple was destroyed, He would raise it back up in 3 days, He was speaking of His body.
" ... Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up."
John 2:19
Not only was He speaking of His physical body, but He was speaking of the body of True Believers that would make up the 3rd and final Temple of God because HE was the cornerstone of that 3rd Temple to come. And all True Believers to follow would make up the walls of that Temple.
That Temple now stands upon the earth and is made up of all who know with certainty of soul that they belong to God.
The enemy of God is now actively working to destroy that Holy Temple and the events of the destruction of the Temple in 70 A.D. are a foreshadowing of the Tribulations to come for those of us who are in Christ. Hunger and starvation will be a challenge for many who are not able to buy or sell due to their refusal to compromise their beliefs and bow down to the Beast System. Some of us will survive the horrors to come. Those of us who lose our physical lives will go home to be with the Lord.
"These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have Tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."
John 16:33
Encourage one another in the faith and do not allow anything in this world to compromise your commitment to the Lord.
