Ah ha, those giant size enamel mugs...
When they have passed their time for holding coffee, they make a better flower pot then putting them in a china cabinet. ;)

God Bless,

Never thought of flower pot. Nuts and bolts in the garage...teething ring for the baby...screwed to the dashboard in the ute (pick-up) for ammo, cup holder, ice bucket...

Bolts, ya have used for that...
Ice bucket...LOL...a new idea to me.
Do have one cup, about the size of a coffee carafe...and have a small pan lid that fits it...
...ice bucket set up for sure... :D

Obviously the Brit meaning of to brew tea is different. When we ask if someone wants a tea or coffee we usually, 'Do you fancy a brew?' or, 'Do you want a cuppa?" We steep dried pulse like peas and beans in water overnight before cooking. Or we steep stained laundry before washing.
In Ireland, don't they speak of having 'a wee pour' for tea?

Missed you yesterday...hope you are doing okay?

I am worried about @amadeus
It is eight days and he has not replied to my emails or my message on here.
His wife Kathy is often sick, and I know John himself had a 'nasty turn' the other month. In the almost 20 years I have known him, he is not silent unless one of them is sick :(

Lets be praying for them.

I've never heard that one farouk. I've heard of a wee dram for whiskey. ;)

I have an Irish friend here...
She always write with a wee. "Shall I pop round for a wee cup of tea?"
"Or, shall I pick you up to go out for a wee bite of breakie " LOL

I don't remember mum and dad having them- I am pretty sure we had them in the bank when I started working in 1974- I guess it's like most things, they are in the shops but you don't always buy them straight away.
Rita
Woe betide, if anyone at the bank uses the supervisor's mug for tea, by mistake...

I'm sooo lagged here.
Extra prayers for @amadeus and his wife.
He holds and shares much wisdom. I thought it odd he hadn't posted here.

Also @farouk prayers for a speedy recovery.

The lag is really affecting my time limits and already time to start dinner. Hope it clears soon.
Be good to yourselves and others. Amen:)

Lol - this is England we are talking about, the manager would have still had a cup and saucer, there was a more distinct class stystem in place ( can you imagine the queen having a mug ! )
I am ' common ' so it's okay for me to have one x

Cups, tea cups, mugs, wine glasses, whiskey glasses, shot glasses, water glasses, juice glasses, flasks, kegs, cans, etc. etc.....

I would think it safe to say world wide it is the babies whom we "tag" at times as "fussy", are probably the ones most content with whatever they are drinking from a plain old bottle. LOL.
