Jesus is telling the generation that sees all the signs He named would not die before His return. PTL. We are that generation. We are seeing the signs Jesus named Israel became a nation again after 2000 years May 15,1948 and the Jews are being brought back to their homeland Israel and the Jewish people regained control of Jerusalem July 1967 and we see the HUGE increase of man's knowledge and travel Bible prophecy talks about and the huge increase of big 6.0 + earthquakes and volcano eruptions worldwide, sink holes and the signs in the heavens=blood moons and weather changes, plague, pestilence!! Get ready to meet Jesus!!!

Don't forget the Antichrist must be revealed first, and I can't imagine who that is if he has been revealed already.

The only way for the Holy Spirit to work is to repent from sin. Leave the cares of this life behind. The Holy Spirit is not our desires that we want. It is ridding one's self of all that is you, and have the mind of Christ only.

Then the Holy Spirit will come upon you and be your heart and mind in doing God's plan.

We cannot take any credit, but acknowledge that it is God in us. When pride starts to well up, causing you to think it is you, that is when the Holy Spirit stops working and you have taken back control.

The Holy Spirit doesn't come after you, yourself, develop the mind of Christ; it is the Holy Spirit that does the developing of Christ's mind in you. To receive the Holy Spirit you must first see that you are a weak willed sinner and are enslaved and cry out to Jesus because He is strong. That is when Jesus gives His Spirit. It is given to to those who humble themselves and admit they can't save themselves and want to be scrubbed clean.

I've heard a lot of people say this, but I've never heard any of them give a scripture I can look up. Do you know? All I've read is about the great falling away, which seems the opposite. Can you help me out here?
Give me a minute and I will put together some scriptures for you.

Oh yeah....we know... they have been saying it for the last 2K years.
You need to quit it with the scare tactics to get people's attention and want to accept Christ....what they need to hear is about His Love!
And furthermore, God said He would restore His Church and Prophets and have a mighty outpour of His Holy Spirit and a great revival will take place with signs and wonders following the preaching of His Word.
Tell people the GOOD NEWS!
Love is only half of the Gospel message. People need to know what they are being saved from....

Isaiah 29
For the LORD hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered.

11And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed:

12And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.

13Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:

14Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.

15Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD, and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who seeth us? and who knoweth us?

16Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter's clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?

17Is it not yet a very little while, and Lebanon shall be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field shall be esteemed as a forest?

18And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness.

19The meek also shall increase their joy in the LORD, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

20For the terrible one is brought to nought, and the scorner is consumed, and all that watch for iniquity are cut off:

21That make a man an offender for a word, and lay a snare for him that reproveth in the gate, and turn aside the just for a thing of nought.

22Therefore thus saith the LORD, who redeemed Abraham, concerning the house of Jacob, Jacob shall not now be ashamed, neither shall his face now wax pale.

23But when he seeth his children, the work of mine hands, in the midst of him, they shall sanctify my name, and sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, and shall fear the God of Israel.

24They also that erred in spirit shall come to understanding, and they that murmured shall learn doctrine.

At this time Isaiah prophesied against Jerusalem and spoke of the spiritual sleep, closed the eyes of the prophets and covered the head of the seers.
But as you read further he also prophesied that they who erred in spirit will come to understanding and those who murmured will learn doctrine. (Spiritual awakening).

Isaiah 52
1 Awake, awake; put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean.

2 Shake thyself from the dust; arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem: loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion.

Joel 2
2 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at hand;

2 A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.

3 A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them.

4 The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run.

5 Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array.

6 Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather blackness.

7 They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks:

8 Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded.

9 They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief.

10 The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining:

11 And the Lord shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the Lord is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?

12 Therefore also now, saith the Lord, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:

13 And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.

14 Who knoweth if he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him; even a meat offering and a drink offering unto the Lord your God?

15 Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly:

16 Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet.

17 Let the priests, the ministers of the Lord, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O Lord, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God?

18 Then will the Lord be jealous for his land, and pity his people.

19 Yea, the Lord will answer and say unto his people, Behold, I will send you corn, and wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith: and I will no more make you a reproach among the heathen:

20 But I will remove far off from you the northern army, and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up, and his ill savour shall come up, because he hath done great things.

21 Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the Lord will do great things.

22 Be not afraid, ye beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength.

23 Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.

24 And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with wine and oil.

25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.

26 And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.

27 And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the Lord your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.

28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.

31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord come.

32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the Lord hath said, and in the remnant whom the Lord shall call.

Joel prophesied that in the last days God will pour out His spirit upon all flesh....returning the prophets and seers....

Here are a couple more....and there are actually more than this but you can research it more if you want.

Romans 13:11-12
Do this, knowing the time, that it is already the hour for you to awaken from sleep; for now salvation is nearer to us than when we believed. The night is almost gone, and the day is near. Therefore let us lay aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.

Revelation 3:2
Wake up, and strengthen the things that remain, which were about to die; for I have not found your deeds completed in the sight of My God.

Don't forget the Antichrist must be revealed first, and I can't imagine who that is if he has been revealed already.
I can understand not knowing for sure, but can't imagine ? (not to go outside Scripture, but what was revealed in the past, already , from Scripture?)

People need to be saved from their sin and the eternal damnation that it requires.
(just noticed the title of the thread - meet Jesus in the clouds....)

Should ANYONE wait until Jesus comes in the clouds as written, to meet Jesus ?

If they wait until then, will they even be in Him, will they be able to ? will they be His ?

Hmmm. Christ spoke more about hell and judgment than love. So much for the invalid assertion that scare tactics (as you put it) don't work. Read the Gospels through without the lens you've put on.

and want to accept Christ ....

Where in Scripture does preaching the Gospel say "accept Christ?"

what they need to hear is about His Love!

They need to hear Repent, and Believe the Gospel. As lost sinners they are under wrath; Ephesians 2:3. The Gospel is a command to repent and believe. Why? To be saved from their sins and coming judgment.

It appears you believe love is to overlook everything, false gospels, false Christ's, false teachings, and just hug each other and tell each other "Nop matter what you believe, it's OK. L-O-V-E is what we need!" And that preaching and exposing error is hate.

And furthermore, God said He would restore His Church and Prophets

Really now? Where does God say he would restore his church? And where does it say he would restore his prophets?

Do you know what the Gospel is? Maybe you think it's like what Robert Schuller or L. Ron Hubbard, or Joel Osteen preached?

That's why I asked you to provide Scripture that proves your point. Those posts don't do it.
What point?
Are you a calvinist? A gnostic? Of the reformed church?
You place a great deal of emphasis on sin....and very little on His Love.
