Your claim is Christians should follow men and ignore God's instructions in 1 Corinthians 3:4-5, Ephesians 5:1, and Romans 8:29

You follow Paul and let him be your standard, your example.

I'll follow the Lord Jesus and let Him be my Standard, and the Example I follow

And we'll see who ends up having more victory in their lives!
Your claim is that you think you follow the Lord Jesus better than Paul followed Him.

If we are more concerned in talking about the trip instead of preparing for the trip and helping others to plan, then we are missing the boat and so are they.
If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

These here, would be a subset of those in Rev 7

Both went through the great tribulation, and the Rev 7 people could have been directly them
Revelation is not entirely time ordered. Described events move in the timeline, something akin to a movie that goes back and forth in time to set the various plots. Example is Rev 6, the sixth seal which is the return of Christ, as is Rev 19 the return of Christ.

You will read an overview, then later read of greater details.
"Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands.
Nope. the people I have in mind are totally different. Totally unique. You can say they were a part of great tribulation, but they didn't go through it. They never got hungry, they never were thirsty, the sun never shined on them, or struck them with heat. And they were the only ones who never worshiped the image of the beast. And they were, and are, being beheaded for their testimony of Jesus and for the word of God. It's like that phrase when God said I knew you, loved you, when you were still in the womb.

"Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

AI knows

Knew You in Womb

The phrase "I knew you when you were still in the womb" is derived from the biblical verse "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations" from Jeremiah 1. This verse is part of God's call to the prophet Jeremiah, emphasizing that God had a specific plan and purpose for him even before his birth. The Hebrew word translated as "knew" in this context implies a deep, personal relationship rather than mere intellectual knowledge.

It suggests that God had a profound awareness and care for Jeremiah even before his conception. This concept is also reflected in other biblical passages, such as Galatians 1, where the apostle Paul states that God set him apart from his mother's womb. The idea that God knows and has a purpose for each individual before their birth is a significant theme in Christian theology, highlighting the belief in divine foreknowledge and predestination.

I'm thinking of an abortion method where they begin to pull the baby out, but as the head is too big to pass through, they remove the contents of the infant's head using a suction device, and the soft scull collapses and can then be removed. The baby is essentially beheaded.

5. American physicians' reactions to vacuum aspiration

Despite efforts to popularize the technique, American physicians' initial reactions to the new technology were mixed. Some physicians were reluctant to try it for both medical and political reasons. Feminists, such as Patricia Maginnis (who was also the president of the Society for Humane Abortion), were recommending the apparatus long before most American doctors had even heard of the technique. Physicians who were not involved in the abortion rights movement often regarded activist women with contempt and suspicion, and did not want to associate themselves, even technologically, with women who sought to destabilize the medical hierarchy by taking reproduction into their own hands. Other physicians, particularly those over fifty, who in medical school were told that the D&C was "the answer to all female complaints", were reluctant to learn a new technique so far along in their careers. Meanwhile, those working in secrecy either could not afford the machinery, or did not want to take the risk of working with equipment that could not be easily moved should a police raid occur 37.

Some physicians derived their negative opinions about electrical vacuum aspiration from personal experience. Minnesota physician Jane Hodgson disparaged the new apparatus: "Our first equipment was crude, noisy and even dangerous. The vacuum pressure was not measured. Some of the earliest equipment simply utilized the [powerful] wall suction in the operating room, which was designed for use with fluid-draining equipment during surgery" 38. As New York obstetrician/gynecologist William Rashbaum recalled, "the suction machine was a pump attached to a Dixie cup, with the top held on with rubber bands (...) there were a number of deaths from the suction machine. If connected incorrectly the machine would blow instead of suction, causing some patients to die of air embolus" 39. The technological skepticism of these physicians was understandable. In the late 1960s, there still existed two technical drawbacks to the apparatus: the unpredictable suction, and the rigid metal cannulas whose use, like the D&C, required a fair amount of skill on the part of the operator, since any mistake could result in uterine perforation, infection, and possibly death 40.

On the other hand, there were many physicians who were excited about the new technology. It drew enormous praise from physicians practicing in large urban centers on the East and West Coasts, such as Barry Messinger and Daniel Fieldstone (pseudonym). Fieldstone completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology (and presumably abortion training) at Mount Sinai Hospital, under the tutelage of Alan Guttmacher. He spent most of the 1950s and 1960s performing illegal abortions in New York, and was persuaded by his mentor to attend the 1968 Hot Springs Conference. The conference held both personal and professional significance for Fieldstone because it made him feel part of a legitimate community of "extralegal" abortion providers who were technological innovators in their own right. According to Fieldstone, "That meeting (...) really changed everything. It brought together (...) what was known then about techniques.' Like many of the physicians at the conference whose hospital-based abortion experience was limited to the D&C method, Fieldstone [instantly recognized the power of the] vacuum suction machine, which [seemed to be] a far safer method of early abortion. The suction was an eye opener, it was such a superior technique -it shocked us" 41.

He's not good enough since He's not the Lord seeing scripture says we are predestined to be conformed to the Image of Jesus Christ.

Paul made some serious mistakes, Jesus made ZERO mistakes. It's your life so it's your call.
Paul taught the truth in scripture without any mistakes and he followed Christ and His teachings as well as any Christian ever has. His serious mistakes were made before he became a Christian. He is a great example to follow because he was bold in his faith, he had a close personal relationship with Christ and God trusted him enough to use him to write about half of the New Testament.

1 Corinthians 4:15 Even if you had ten thousand guardians in Christ, you do not have many fathers, for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel. 16 Therefore I urge you to imitate me. 17 For this reason I have sent to you Timothy, my son whom I love, who is faithful in the Lord. He will remind you of my way of life in Christ Jesus, which agrees with what I teach everywhere in every church.

So, you apparently disagree that we should imitate Paul, who imitated Christ? In terms of having another follower of Christ who we should imitate, you won't find a better one than Paul. By imitating him you are imitating Christ because Paul imitated Christ. He sacrificed himself for others many times and showed how to live as a true Christian and his writings teach that as well.

All you gotta do is up your game and follow the One Who is perfect, Jesus Christ as He is the ultimate standard and example to follow.
Hello? If you follow Paul's example than you will follow Christ because that is what Paul did. Paul is the example we can follow in terms of someone who followed Christ. That doesn't mean we follow Paul instead of Christ, it means we follow Paul's example of how to follow Christ. You're not even thinking here.

Maybe someday you can switch from being a follower of Paul and become a follower of Jesus Christ! :gd
That is an extremely stupid statement. You don't get it at all. I am a follower of Jesus Christ who wisely learns from Paul's example of how to properly be a follower of Jesus Christ. You should do the same. It's sad that you have such a low opinion of Paul when you can learn a lot from his example of how to follow Jesus Christ.

he followed Christ and His teachings as well as any Christian ever has.

However, he was not perfect like Jesus was and still is.

I'll stick with Jesus.

His serious mistakes were made before he became a Christian

2 Corinthians 11:28
Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches.

Paul was not being obedient to 1 Peter 5:7 or Philippians 4:6 and spent time daily in care (sorrow, worry, fear, anxiety, etc) over the churches he had started or helped start and was ministering to which was an open door to the devil to keep attacking Paul (that was his thorn in the flesh)

This was an ongoing open door the devil had to continually attack Paul which he did until later in Paul's life when He finally figured out caring for the Lord's people is Jesus' job, not his since He's not God.

1 Peter 5:7
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Philippians 4:6
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Later in life Paul let that care go and he got delivered from his affliction (2 Timothy 3:11) and the last record we have of Paul says NO MAN was forbidding him from preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Acts 28:30,31)

Jesus didn't have any sorrow, worry, fear, anxiety so He is a far better example to follow than Paul, especially considering we are told in scripture to imitate the Lord not any man. (see 1 Corinthians 3:4-5, Ephesians 5:1, and Romans 8:29)

A lot of folks have issues with following Jesus, so if you feel you need to follow men instead of the Lord then I suppose this is what you'll continue doing. Good luck with all that.

In terms of having another follower of Christ who we should imitate, you won't find a better one than Paul

Jesus is far, far better than Paul. I abide in Christ and the scriptures teach, not in Paul.

Well you follow Paul and I'll follow Jesus and the Lord will reward each of us accordingly.

That is an extremely stupid statement.

Those not following Jesus are the slow ones.

Right. How arrogant can a person be to think that? The guy needs to be humbled.

Some folks think it's arrogant to do what the Lord instructs in His Word, but that's their problem not mine.

They are ignorant of biblical humility due to having been brainwashed in to following people rather then the Lord
1 Peter 5:6
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

2 Peter 1:4

Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Obeying God's Word is humbling one's self under the mighty Hand of God Who is God's Word Jesus Christ.

Thru the Lord's Word we are able to partake in the Lord's divine nation, well some of us are! :funlaugh2

The guy needs to be humbled.

Go ahead, try to humble me!

Do you need my address so you can come over and attempt to humble me?

It might be a one man cult, in which case I guess we can just call it "Big Boy Johnsonism".

Meh, that's what satan says but I ignore him too! :Broadly:

Sorry fellas, the cult is those who follow Paul.

Christians are the ones following Jesus, that's why it's called Christianity instead of Paulianity since Paul is not The Christ.

We are told to WATCH by the Lord. I have run across a three-part video, that I would imagine that many of you have seen. Scripture after scripture is claimed to indicate that Jesus returns in 2030.

Have any of you seen these videos and do you think they are correct?

Here is part one.

This 2030 date is actually the date that the millennial kingdom is set up.

If the millennial kingdom is set up in 2030, what should we be seeing today?
Ah well we will see how this prediction pans out in 2030 I guess... if a rapture doesn't happen before then.

We'd love for you to teach us, and to learn from you.

Ok, I do believe aborted babies go to heaven.

The wording though implying the beast world system of that future time is actively the cause of their death
And yes the government of men is compared to beasts through all history
