However, he was not perfect like Jesus was and still is.
I'll stick with Jesus.
2 Corinthians 11:28
Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches.
Paul was not being obedient to 1 Peter 5:7 or Philippians 4:6 and spent time daily in care (sorrow, worry, fear, anxiety, etc) over the churches he had started or helped start and was ministering to which was an open door to the devil to keep attacking Paul (that was his thorn in the flesh)
This was an ongoing open door the devil had to continually attack Paul which he did until later in Paul's life when He finally figured out caring for the Lord's people is Jesus' job, not his since He's not God.
1 Peter 5:7
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Philippians 4:6
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Later in life Paul let that care go and he got delivered from his affliction (2 Timothy 3:11) and the last record we have of Paul says NO MAN was forbidding him from preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Acts 28:30,31)
Jesus didn't have any sorrow, worry, fear, anxiety so He is a far better example to follow than Paul, especially considering we are told in scripture to imitate the Lord not any man. (see 1 Corinthians 3:4-5, Ephesians 5:1, and Romans 8:29)
A lot of folks have issues with following Jesus, so if you feel you need to follow men instead of the Lord then I suppose this is what you'll continue doing. Good luck with all that.
Jesus is far, far better than Paul. I abide in Christ and the scriptures teach, not in Paul.
Well you follow Paul and I'll follow Jesus and the Lord will reward each of us accordingly.
Those not following Jesus are the slow ones.
Some folks think it's arrogant to do what the Lord instructs in His Word, but that's their problem not mine.
They are ignorant of biblical humility due to having been brainwashed in to following people rather then the Lord
1 Peter 5:6
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
2 Peter 1:4
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
Obeying God's Word is humbling one's self under the mighty Hand of God Who is God's Word Jesus Christ.
Thru the Lord's Word we are able to partake in the Lord's divine nation, well some of us are!
Go ahead, try to humble me!
Do you need my address so you can come over and attempt to humble me?
Meh, that's what satan says but I ignore him too!
Sorry fellas, the cult is those who follow Paul.
Christians are the ones following Jesus, that's why it's called Christianity instead of Paulianity since Paul is not The Christ.
