I would be interested, in light of these rules, as to whether it is the position of the boards that mormonism is another denomination in Christianity or a pseudo-Christian cult.
Hey JBF, if my love for Jane labels me as a Mormon then include waiting on him in your complaint as wellContext:
[*]Do not state or imply that another member or group of members who have identified themselves as Christian are not Christians. If there is an issue where a member seems to have circumvented the basic tenants of the faith in order to join the community, please privately contact the Christianity Board Team to voice your concern.
I will definitely be doing this as concerning @Jane_Doe22's claim of being a Bible-believing Christian, when in all reality she is a mormon.
As a matter of fact, I want to attract @IForrest's attention right now but I cannot remember how his moniker is spelled.
So if anyone does remember how it is spelled, it might be good to get his attention so that we can resolve this issue.
Hey, I love her too; but I don't agree with what she believes in as a mormon and I also believe that it will put her in hell.Hey JBF, if my love for Jane labels me as a Mormon then include waiting on him in your complaint as well
Thanks.
I don't have any objection to them posting; but I do object to them posting with the label of "Christian" on their rap sheet.Mormons are allowed to post here
So are Janes...
Already did.then include waiting on him in your complaint

The problem with this, @Iforrest, is that with this policy, you can have mormons posting their doctrines under the title of "Christian".Mormons are welcome here, and even if you believe they are not Christians I ask they you not single any member out. You can post against the church of the later day saints if you wish, the stipulation is not to make it excessive.
You should look around, half the people here are non-Trinitarians. Though the site's statement of faith affirms that.
There are two sentiments that also apply to this subject held by the Christianityboard team.
Besides there is no way to force someone into salvation, leading a horse to water adage.
- We strongly desire for a graceful environment here in the community that understands people may be new to the faith or growing.
- We desire to earnestly defend the essential Christian doctrines that we agree and not abandon central pillars of the faith, nor do we seek to muddy the waters of belief.

So then, my question abides: Are mormons here considered to be another denomination of Christianity, or as a pseudo-Christian cult?
The answer to this question has an effect on how I interpret the rules of the boards as pertaining to how I treat mormons here.
I will abide by the rules of the boards; however, until this question is answered I will consider mormons to be the members of a pseudo-Christian cult as pertains to the rules of the boards; and therefore not defined as members of another denomination of Christianity as pertain to the rules of the boards.
Should not mormons be required to have their faith (on their rap sheet) defined as mormon? As it is, they are moving by stealth and spreading their doctrine under cover of the title of "Christian".
