Deut 13:4

""""Ye shall walk after the Lord your God, and be in reverent awe of Him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto Him.""

This verse is a good one if you are looking for "God's will" for your life.

3 easy steps.

1. Obey

2. Serve

3. Cleave

It's God specific will for each of His redeemed, that we Obey, Serve, and Cleave.

So, how?

How to "Obey"?

Well, you could listen to an inner voice, but if this is not God's voice, and its not your voice, then what is the 3rd choice? (Demon).
Ah....
Can be tricky, that one.

So, "obey" what then, if not 'voices" on the inside of you.. ? ? ?

Very simple...... Let what's right be your guide.. Just do the right thing, all the time, and you know what, ? You dont need God to write it on a wall for you, because you already know what NOT to do, so, that leaves...what you should do......and in doing that, you are "obeying".... So, let "righteousness" be your guide, as in almost every human situation that you will ever encounter and experience, there is a "right way".....a "righteousness" choice.....that is always the correct answer to the question of '"how to obey", according to the New Testament.

"Serve"....

How to serve?
=By consistently being available and dependable. If you will do those, then you will always be engaged in some type of service for the Lord, that actually matters.

The thing about serving the Lord, is to do it so that you are not doing it for self centered acknowledgment....And this is difficult, as, we all want to be liked, appreciated, and to some extent, admired. So, serving the Lord, in the purest sense, is to serve others, selflessly, not looking for the spotlight, and not needing to be compensated.

And example would be.......that person with the "homeless" sign......or that old woman in the electric cart in your supermarket who cant reach that upper shelf that has those cans of beans on it that will later become the only thing she will have for dinner..(all week). Kinda like that. See it? And you know, maybe you can buy her groceries?

There is always the broken down car, or the person who can't afford their medication.
Be available to help, and you'll get plenty of chances to serve the Lord.
Serving , is Helping.....> Helping others.
Thats how you serve the Lord.
Help the Poor = Bless the Lord.

"Cleave"....

This means to utterly lean on the Lord. This means that in life, you do all you can, the best you can, always, while keeping your eyes on Jesus... who is the "author and finisher of your FAITH".

Cleaving means to "wrap yourself around"....It means to trust going forward without ever looking back.
It means absolute intimacy with.... To be "ONE".

Listen....
When God made Adam's helper, He took a rib that was next to Adam's heart and built Eve AROUND IT.......
Now you think about that, as it's related to "oneness" and "intimacy" and 'cleaving".... and "bride of Christ" and "body of believers".
Cleaving means to put God first, and Jesus is God, and "we are bone of Jesus's bones, and flesh of Jesus's flesh", and.. "as Jesus IS, so are WE in this world".

Saint, that is CLEAVING .

Cleaving also means that you are always filtering your thoughts and actions through the single hearted desire to make God happy, as this is the "main thing" when you are "walking in the Spirit" and "in the Light".

Now this post I can agree with whole-heartedly.
