I didn't catch this. Sorry.
In the OT the Holy Spirit fell upon upon persons.
In the NT the Holy Spirit indwells us because we are in Christ --- He dwells in our spirit. Our spirit also affects our soul where the sin nature resides and this is how the Holy Spirit affects us. He does not possess us, but lives with us.
IF we do live a life of sin, the Holy Spirit will depart. This is when we're in danger of losing our salvation. You're right, the Holy Spirit cannot LIVE WITH SIN.
But, as I've stated, this is different from committing a sin. We are exhorted throughout scripture to obey and live a life pleasing to God. We are exhorted this way by the same persons, especially Paul, who tell us how the Holy Spirit abides in us, so apparently it's true that the Holy Spirit does not force us to obey, but only helps us.

If you want to continue with this, it'll have to be tomorrow.
It's 11 pm here.
Right, and you owe me the next 5 hours

Oh, so NOW you believe...Scripture?

Now you believe....

1 John 3:9
Whosoever is born of God DOTH NOT COMMIT SIN,
For his seed remaineth in him:
And HE CAN NOT SIN,
BECAUSE he is born of God.

? Huh, do you now believe Scripture?

It's about time I set you straight on this.
Get rid of the doths and remainths and all those other useless words from the KJV
Start reading English as people understand it.
9"No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God's seed remains in him: he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God."

No where does this say we will never sin.
It says we will not continue to sin, to make it a habit.
If we sin, we become aware of it and we repent of it.
Aside from that, we do not sin because we have been born of God, and God's seed remains in us.

Can you understand that?

Well this kind of explains that other scripture people love to quote.

(1 John 1:8-10) "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. {9} If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. {10} If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us."
