I hate to be the Bearer Of Bad News for you , but you might just be a Saved man and not realize it...Romans 10:9 declares that if we “ confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord ( God in the Flesh) ,and Believe that God raised Him from the Dead, you will be Saved....”
If you believe in your Heart that God raised Jesus from the Dead, the Bible says that you are “ Justified”—- That means God sees you as “just as if you have never sinned” .....that alone should qualify you for Eternal Life....
However the verse also says that you must “ confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord” ....if you believe that also , your Salvation is assured..
At least six people were brought back from the Dead in the Bible.....The difference between “ them” and Jesus was that Jesus “ Predicted” it for Himself and later fulfilled it.....Who But The Lord , the One that was “ God in the Flesh” , could make this happen? It seems that if you believe one part of the verse , you Automatically Believe the other half...Does anybody say that they BELIEVE that Christ rose from the dead , but was NOT “ Lord?” It doesn’t make much sense to me....
Regardless , if you Believe that “ Jesus is Lord” all you have to do is give voice to that fact and the question of any Redundancy in the verse resolves itself....To be safe and Certain , I really should have asked you two questions....you answered one correctly.....how about the other? Could you sincerely say with your lips “ Jesus is Lord?” ..... not just * A* son of God , but * THE* Son Of God......
I hope that you answer “ yes” to this question also—— I Promise I don't have any more “ test” questions lined up for you....lol.... I was amiss to not mention both in the earlier post...
yes, Jesus is Lord. The Lord of lords, and King of kings. I have confessed this before in front of a crowd, and i would say it if we were face to face today.
all joking aside, i do not believe that i am saved. I just cant believe anyone can sin as badly, willfully as i do, daily and still get to Heaven. And i have asked myself this a gazillion times, but what if i were saved? I dont think a person could be saved and not know it.
But what if i was saved, how would knowing that affect me? I think it would have a positive effect.
You truly believe Jesus is the Christ, sent by God? Yes?
Then do you badly, willfully, daily reject Belief in God and Christ Jesus?
yes to your first question.
I dont ever reject belief.
But i do badly, willfully sin daily.
Ok...Set that aside for a moment.
What would you say would be “an example of a sin” “any believing person”, willfully commits?
any addictions obviously first.
I would also say most things done out of anger would be sinful, like bad thoughts, or gestures.
I mean everyone sins daily, saved and unsaved. I do believe we all have a besetting sin as paul called it.
yes to your first question.
I dont ever reject belief.
But i do badly, willfully sin daily.
So, primarily you are talking about feelings and behaviors of one person toward another person, is a commission of sin?
all sin is against God first and foremost, but yes, it can involve others as well. Think of david, bathsheba, and uriah.
I have no idea what you are calling a daily commission of sin, and why I asked for an example. Me thinking about David etc. gives me no idea what you are talking about...
Hypothetical -
Say ONLY two vehicles are traveling on the same country road.
Guy A notices Guy B advancing closer behind him.
Guy B passes Guy A in a wreck-less manner.
Guy A moves his vehicle slightly to the shoulder to keep Guy B from sideswiping Guy A.
Guy A feelings become angry, yells, flips off, Guy B.
....Did Guy A just “COMMIT A SIN”?
Yes? No?
Okay, thank you.
Continuing the Hypothetical-
Guy B speeds on down the road.
Guy A is angry, fuming over the incident.
Guy A comes around a curve and sees Guy B’s vehicle hit a tree and slid into a pond at the roads edge.
Guy A has options...
~ option 1) hang onto his anger drive on by
~ option 2) stop his own vehicle, render aid
Would either option be a commission of sin?
obviously option A would be a sin.
Ok, thank you.
Option A -
Who did driver A commit as sin Against?
1) Driver B
2) The Lord God
both.
Okay, thank you.
So, willful neglect behavior toward a man is a sin against the man? Yes?
And, willful neglect behavior toward a man is a sin against God? Yes?
yes on both.
Okay, thank you.
Is there a Scripture you can share that speaks to willful neglect of a man against man, being a sin against God?
