1 Corinthians 1:18 - For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. 20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

I still haven't found any Bible verses to support the theory that a dead man can make himself alive.

Yeah, lots of people don't understand the new birth or that God gave man free will.

Matthew 16:24

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If ANY man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

John 7:37
If ANY man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.

John 5:40
And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

You haven't identified who the "ALL" are in -
"All who call on the name of Jesus, shall be SAVED"

Bill Clinton couldn't define what "is" is either.

ALL means everyone.... but those who have been tricked by demons in to believing the false doctrines of calvinism and other so called reformed theology have no idea what ALL is... sadly they are clueless due to following doctrines of demons!

Romans 5:6
For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

Romans 5:8
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

You haven't quoted a single verse which could be used to support your "Universalist" theology.

Universalism is in fact false doctrine, but that does not mean the Lord has not provided a pathway for ALL to be saved:

The calvinist love to spread the lies of the devil claiming God only wants to save a few people and He assigned all others to hell.

Titus 2:11,12
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to ALL men,
Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

1 John 2:2
Jesus is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that ALL should come to repentance.

1 Timothy 2:1-4
I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior;
Who will have ALL men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

Acts 17:30
And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth ALL men every where to repent:

John 12:32
And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw ALL men unto me.

Hebrews 2:9
But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that He by the grace of God should taste death for EVERY man.

The calvinists reject these scriptures and claim they are lies just like their daddy the devil instructs them to say clueless-doh.gif

Which law are you referring to?

The law of Moses which has been done away with (Hebrews 10:9), or the Law of Christ? (Galatians 6:2, 1 Corinthians 9:21, James 2:12, James 1:25, Romans 8:2)
The law of God

the law that says if you want to get to me under your own power. This is what you must do

the law that in turn puts us all under grace because we all have sinned.

You are obviously unaware of the Law of Christ taught in the New Testament.

You should do a study on that and very soon so you can get up to speed on this topic.

No, I am aware of it. It is 2 commands. It tells us how to practice the law of moses.

But it does not negate the fact the law of moses condemns you where you stand. Thats the part you do not get.

Again you water down the law. God did not tell us we have n easier way we can obey this new law. That is less strict as the old

You should do a study on that and very soon so you can get up to speed on this topic.
You should study the Bible. Look to the law. Because the law had not led you to repentance yet.

I'll help you out a little... check these passages out:

Hebrews 10:9
Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.

(God said He would make a New Covenant - see Jeremiah 31:31-34)

And with the changing of the priesthood, God’s Word tells us there is also a change of the law.

Hebrews 7:12
For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

In the New Testament... there is a new priesthood where Jesus is our High Priest instead of Moses and as such we are no longer under the law of Moses, but now we are under the Law of Christ.

In the New Testament, many mentions of “the law” is actually referring to Law of Christ (aka the Law of Liberty) and is not talking about the old testament law. Christians are NOT called to keep or live under the old testament law, but we ARE called to live under the Law of Christ.

Ultimately this means we are called to abide In Christ which is living after the Spirit and not after the flesh, or to be spiritually minded and not carnally minded (see Romans 8). As we see in Romans 8, to be spiritually minded is life and peace but to be carnally minded is death which is separation from the Lord.

Galatians 6:2
Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

1 Corinthians 9:21
To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.

James 2:12
So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.

James 1:25
But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

Romans 8:2
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
*Free as in no longer being a slave to sin, as in stop doing sinful things!

2 Peter 1:4-10
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

1 Thessalonians 4:3-8
For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God: That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified. For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness. He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit. (*Notice what Paul said about his own body in 1 Corinthians 9:27)

Colossians 3:6-10
For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them. But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: Those that do not put on the New Man and quit walking after the flesh, the wrath of God comes upon them for their disobedience because God is NOT mocked, if we sow to the flesh we shall of the flesh reap corruption (Gal 6:7,8)

2 Thessalonians 1:7-9
And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; Things end very badly for those that do not obey the gospel.

Romans 11:19-25
Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in. Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again. For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree? For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

Law of Christ
The phrase "the law of Christ" appears only in Galatians 6:2, although it is implied by the wording of 1 Corinthians 9:21 as well. In both places, its precise meaning is difficult to fix. In Galatians, Paul argues vigorously that the law given at Sinai makes no claim on those who believe in Christ, whether Gentile or Jew ( 2:15-21 ; Galatians 3:10-14 Galatians 3:23-26 ; 4:4-5 ; 4:21-5:6).

He then appeals to the Galatians to engage in ethical behavior by walking in the Spirit ( 5:16 Galatians 16 ), being lead by the Spirit ( 5:18 ), and fulfilling "the law of Christ" (ho nomos tou Christou) through bearing one another's burdens ( 6:2 ). In 1 Corinthians 9 Paul demonstrates how Christians should, out of love for the weaker brother or sister, refrain from demanding their rights.

By way of illustration Paul says in verses 19-23 that he adopts certain Jewish customs when among Jews, although he is not under the Jewish law, and that he adopts some Gentile customs when among Gentiles, although he is not without the law of God but rather "in the law of Christ" (ennomos Christou).

It seems fairly clear from these two texts that Paul uses the phrase to mean something other than the law given to Israel at Sinai and considered by most Jews to be their special possession.

Help is found in the prophets. In Isaiah 42:1-4 we read that God's chosen servant will one day establish justice throughout the earth and that "the coastlands will wait expectantly for His law" (NASB). If we take this passage to refer to the Messiah, then we could paraphrase it by saying that the Christ, when he comes, will teach God's law to the Gentiles ("the coastlands"). Jeremiah 31:31-34 similarly predicts the coming of a time in which disobedient Israel will receive a new covenant, consisting of a law written on the heart and therefore obeyed (cf. Ezek 36:26-27 ).

Jesus' teaching, although standing in continuity with the law given at Sinai, nevertheless sovereignly fashions a new law. In some instances Jesus sharpens commandments ( Matt 5:17-48 ) and in others considers them obsolete ( Mark 7:17-19 ). On one occasion, having been asked to identify the greatest commandment, Jesus concurs with the Jewish wisdom of his time ( Mark 12:32-33 ) that the greatest commandments are to love God supremely and to love one's neighbor as oneself ( Mark 12:28-31 ). He breaks with tradition, however, by defining the term "neighbor" to mean even the despised Samaritan ( Luke 10:29-37 ).

Paul believed that the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ marked the beginning point of God's new covenant ( 2 Cor 3:1-18 ; Gal 4:21-31 ; cf. Rom 8:2 ). Like Isaiah, he believed that this covenant included the Gentiles ( Gal 3:7-20 ), and like Jeremiah he believed that it offered Israel a remedy for the curse that the old Sinaitic covenant pronounced on Israel's disobedience ( Gal 3:10-13 ).

In light of this, Paul understood the teaching of Christ as a new law. If so, then the correspondence between the ethical teaching of Jesus and Paul on many points (e.g., 1 Cor 7:10-11 / Mark 10:2-9 ; 1 Cor 9:14 / Luke 10:7 ; Rom 14:1-23 / Mark 7:18-19 ) is a matter of Paul's intention rather than happy accident. Paul's own admonition to fulfill the law of Christ by bearing one another's burdens provides both a pithy restatement of Jesus' summary of the law and an indication that Jesus' teaching fulfills prophetic expectations.
Galatians 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

There is no more law of Moses and Moses is no longer high priest

Jesus Christ is the new High Priest and we are now under the Law of Christ.

You should get to know the New Testament! agree.gif

@Dan Clarkston non of your passages refute anything that I have said. You can call in dung all you want. when you stand in front of Jesus. He will not be laughing

before the law. there was no sin that could be charged. so they were passaged over.

Then we were given the law. In Deuteronomy, Moses made Israel confirm an oath, that they would confirm every word. and they would obey every word. whoever fails to do this would be under a curse.

Sadly, No one but one fulfilled this oath and that was Jesus.

He came and fulfilled that oath, then as the lamb of God took on his body your sin.. so you have the ability to have that curse removed.

He said, come all who are weary, and he would give us rest. For those who are saved. because they received the gift of life (eternal) they have entered that rest.

for those who have not. well they are still trying to work.

here are the fact.

the law required perfection.

If your trying to earn salvation (like you are) then that is your standard.. You can water down the law all you want. it will not help you. when you stand in front of God he will judge you based on your work.

for those who are saved, they will receive reward.. even reward that is burnt in ash.. You salvation was purchased by Jesus and you in faith received this gift.

for those who are not Gods. they will receive a reward also. The lake of fire. Because although you were offered the gift. You rejected it..

this warning is not just for you. but those who may listen to your legalistic self righteous gospel.

You want to work. go right ahead, do not let me stop you.

May of us have entered his rest. and are day by day trying to grow in knowledge and truth and learning to trust him in all areas of our lives.

And you can not take that away from us

The "ALL" is found in many NT verses.

Jesus defines them here as ALL "sinners'......."Jesus came into the world to save Sinners"...and that is everyone (ALL are sinners)

John defines the "All" as "the World".....which is everyone.......or "whosoever".......John 3:16
Sorry but your theology is twisted out of all proportion. You keep adding your word over Gods Word, this is highly blasphemous and God promised to cast those who do this into the lake of fire.

Where does Jesus define "all sinners"??? answer "NOWHERE"......

Where does the bible say "Jesus came into the world to save all sinners"???? answer "NWHERE"........

Where does John define the "All" as the "World" which is "everyone"???? answer "NOWHERE".........

Where is the "whosoever" John 3:16, defined as "Everyone" answer "NOWHERE".....

Please don't trample over Gods Word and set yourself on His Throne. You have no right or authority to change what God has said.

Jesus defined it for you here......."Jesus came into the world to save sinners"... so, "sinners" is ALL of us........or the "world" as John defines sinners in John 3:16
I have diligently searched the scriptures, and I haven't found a single verse to support your private opinion, that Jesus came to save the whole world.

You have made the fatal error of presuming upon the Lord and taking His Word out of context and. John 3:16 was spoken to the Jews, they needed to hear that Jesus don't only come to die for them. But He came to die for people from every tribe and tongue, that means for Gods chosen people from every part of world and not every reprobate in the world.

According to your private opinion, Jesus failed in His mission to save the whole world. There are approximately 170,000 people dying in thew world everyday, and the majority are being cast into hell.
People like Judas Iscariot, were never saved so why would Jesus die for someone, then turn around and cast them into hell, wouldn't that make His promise a lie.

Heb 10:
[10] By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Sad you do not comprehend what FREEWILL means.

LOL…So? why tell me about some claim you made up and don’t believe? Weird!
Who was Hebrews 10 spoken to????, answer "BELIEVERS" so that destroys your free will theory right there.

I don't comprehend FREEWILL because it doesn't exist. So there's no point in pushing this false doctrine, without any evidence at all.

"universsalism" is a """doctrine of devils.""" See Hebrews 13:9
I dont teach those.. but you can follow St Steven on this forum , as He teaches that Cross rejecting theology, while the Mods look the other way.

I teach that Jesus died on the Cross for the sin of the world......and everyone who Trusts in Christ, will be saved and remain so.

So, The Cross of Christ is the Universal OFFER of God's Salvation = as found as Jesus's Sacrifice that is offered to "the World"... John 3:16.
Your Arminian Gospel, makes a mockery of the true gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Your Arminian version, makes the Lord look like a hopeless salesman, who goes door to door offering eternal paradise in heaven and most people reject His offer and choose eternal torment in the lake of fire.

Your version gospel message, makes the Lord look like a fool. How pathetic do you have to be, when you can't even sell eternal paradise for free, and watch those you die for choose eternal torment in the lake of fire. That is the most disgraceful insult to the Lord that I have ever heard of.....

Please show an epistle of any one of the Apostles of Yeshua wherein that refutation appears.
You'll find they cannot and have not shared any such scripture. Because they cannot and do not exist.

The campaign against the good news of Jesus has waged for over 2000 years.

Eternal security in Christ is a fact. Enemies of the faith sully that fact with the lie that says, thinking we are eternally saved means we believe we may sin with impunity.

If you encounter that argument against eternal security in Christ you will know you are encountering an enemy of the truth in Christ.

Jesus said.

That is all that matters, ever in this life.

Jesus said , of all the father gives him he shall lose none. Jesus said, no one can come to him unless the father leads them. And the only way this occurs is when the Holy Spirit enters and changes our worldly consciousness, the natural mind, so to understand the teachings of Jesus.

Just as Jesus told his Disciples. To them it was given to understand his parables. It was not given to others.

Jesus , who was God,The Word, made flesh also said, those who are his do not make a habit of sinning. Those who wilfully sin do not know him and his truth is not in them.

God said we do not choose to save ourselves.Eternal Security,Salvation, is a gift from God's grace. It is permanent. Irrevocable.

There are two books in Heaven.
The book of life, containing the names of every person born. And the Lamb's Book of Life. This book contains the names of God's Elect, those whom he redeems.
The Saved in Christ are never erased from the Lambs Book.

There are those who disagree with those facts in scripture.

Believe them. When they prove to you they are of the natural mind.

Many are called.
Few are God's chosen.

I have no choice other than to reject your false Arminian gospel, as doctrine straight from the pits of hell. There is not a single verse in the bible to support your false Arminian doctrine of demons.

You Arminians always pluck single words out of the bible and build an entire false doctrine on them, but your false gospel is destroyed when you apply the whole counsel of God to it.

Calvinism is in harmony with the whole of scripture, we don't need to twist any verses to support Reformed Theology. The "free choice movement", is a house of cards which quickly collapses when examined by the whole of scripture.

Your man made version of the gospel, was invented by false prophets to give false hope to the lost. They will all hear the words "Depart from Me for I never knew you".

Free will doctrine is evidence the ego of the natural man knows no bounds .
The bible confirms that there are only two kinds of people. 1 God children and 2. The Devils children.

Man can only serve one of two masters, he will love one and hate the other.

Those who have been fooled into believing they have a free will, are actually serving their sin nature and the Devil by default.

The false gospel message is that, everyone is born with the ability to change their fallen sin nature by resisting the temptation to sin and doing good works. They believe they can clean up their act and find it within themselves to repent and claim the promise of salvation.

The false gospel teaches that the sinner initiates his own salvation, by choosing to go against his sin nature and abandon his Master the Devil, to join the enemy God. This means that man has the ability to change his own nature and create a new nature for himself where he now loves what he hated and hate what he used to love.

The whole "free chose movement" is an abomination in Gods sight, as it attempts to steal Gods sovereignty from Him.
