And that's just with regard to the "Priest's office". As our "Passover Lamb", there is also that aspect. Of which, there is "symbolism" that could be investigated, as well as more. So where "is" the Blood of the Lamb?
As for the "life" being in the blood, what is the "life" that is in the blood? First and foremost, it is the "breath of life" that the blood carries.
Just as in the case of the expecting mother, it is the "breath of life" coursing through her veins that sustain the child. For the child does not have it's own "breath of life" until it takes it's first breath. Sorry, I digress.
