You don't seem to be living on the same planet as I am. If memory serves me right, the news media didn't invent the claim that Iraq bought uranium from Niger. That was people who worked for the President of Italy. And if memory serves me right, the American intelligence community never believed the story about uranium from Niger. Valerie Plame didn't. Remember her? Bush wanted to believe the story and did. The story was fantastic anyway. Saddam already had tons of uranium. Why would he need to buy more?
