Lol...John 3:16 says that whosoever believes on the Lord Jesus Christ shall be saved...so the only people who will be saved our those who believe in Him through repentance and faith. So not all will be saved and not all can be saved because not all will believe as mentioned in Matthew 7:14
Oh and Christ didn't die for the whole world because if He did then everyone's sins would be forgiven....He only died for those who would believe. :)
But thats not what the scriptures state James.
John 3:16&17
For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God did not send his Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it.
Isaiah 55:
"My thoughts are completely different from yours," says the LORD. "And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts. "The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry. It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.
John 1:1
In the beginning the Word already existed. He was with God, and he was God.
John 1:29
The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Look! There is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
Romans 10:8-11
Salvation that comes from trusting Christ--which is the message we preach--is already within easy reach. In fact, the Scriptures say, "The message is close at hand; it is on your lips and in your heart." For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. As the Scriptures tell us, "Anyone who believes in him will not be disappointed.
Romans 14:11
For the Scriptures say, " `As surely as I live,' says the Lord, `every knee will bow to me and every tongue will confess allegiance to God.' "
1Timothy 2:3&4
This is good and pleases God our Savior, for He wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.
So James and Adstar which of these do you disagree with? Do you believe that God doesn't want everyone reconciled or do you believe that that God did not send His Son to save the world or do you believe that God's Word fails to accomplish what it (He) sends it to do?
P.S. If you want more scriptures I can post more, there are hundreds.
