I personally believe only about 2 % of the New Testament is futuristic prophecy. Pay attention to how many times Paul acknowledge Old Testament prophecy. I He witnessed most of the Old Testament come to pass.

Genesis 8:9KJV
9 But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him into the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth: then he put forth his hand, and took her, and pulled her in unto him into the ark.
Noah didnt Let the dove go from the ark, as if the flood was a symbolic allegory toooooooo, Big SmilesOnce again this symbolic Dove found its abode at the baptism of Jesus, and also at the birth of each born again individual since Pentecost.
Beyond my paygrade, I'll give it back to JesusI have a question for you 7t7, if God granted you the authority and power to destroy the earth and all its inhabitants today.
what would you do.
It's my opinion your belief is wrongI personally believe only about 2 % of the New Testament is futuristic prophecy. Pay attention to how many times Paul acknowledge Old Testament prophecy. I He witnessed most of the Old Testament come to pass.
Your not going to hijack the thread in distraction Marty
The topic is Luke 21:35 and interpretation of the words (the face of the whole earth.)
Your claims of interpretation of (The World) in other bible chapters is off topic and a distraction, stop the games
Genesis 8:9 has the exact same words as Luke 21:35, this clear interpretation isnt local to Jerusalem as you claim, but is the entire earth
The event of Luke 21:35 below is future, and will come upon the entire earth, and this didnt take place in 70AD Jerusalem as many claim
Luke 21:35KJV
35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
Genesis 8:9KJV
9 But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him into the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth: then he put forth his hand, and took her, and pulled her in unto him into the ark.
Your not going to hijack the thread in distraction EitherStill doesn’t excuse you from answering the questions.
If you’ll answer the question in post 168 we can then move on.Your not going to hijack the thread in distraction Either

I cant believe that you deny the "Literal" second coming of Jesus Christ in the clouds is seen below, that's "Unbelievable"
Matthew 24:30KJV
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
It’s so easy to miss the important little details.LOL, you left off the first part of the verse;
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
I added it for you, lol.Notice what the sign is.....the sign of the SON OF MAN>>>IN HEAVEN
You would think that if people were searching out truth , they would consider all respectable views. It’s so easy to miss the important little details.
The investigation has added verse 27, and you could add the whole chapter of Matthew 24, that deals directly with the literal second coming of Jesus Christ, that you claim isnt seen, but represents a Judgement on Jerusalem in 70AD, Now that's a fairy taleYou would think that if people were searching out truth , they would consider all respectable views.
Why would a person not investigate?
Once Again, Your not going to hijack the thread in distraction MartyIt’s a simple question which has a huge bearing on this thread so once again what did Jesus mean by the word “world”in John 18:20? Silence speaks loudly
What I’m showing is that the bible uses the same words to have different meanings
You would think that if people were searching out truth , they would consider all respectable views.

Jesus isnt coming below, its just a symbolic judgement of Jerusalem, Real Big Smiles!
Matthew 24:27-30KJV
27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
Just as Jesus said! Imagine that. What do you know??? It happened literally as Jesus said.Luke 21:32-35 KJV
[32] Verily I say unto you,
PRIDE!
Luke 21:32-35 KJV
[32] Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled. [33] Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. [34] And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. [35] For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
THIS GENERATION SHALL NOT PASS AWAY TILL ALL BE FULFILLED.
It's about the future literal second coming of Jesus Christ and the resurrection of believersIt is about the literal destruction of the temple and Jerusalem .It did happen just as Jesus said it would. It was not a fairy tale.
i can explain the reference to the sun , moon and stars, and link it to several day of the lord judgments, that literally took place...no fairy tale.
