Although I have not fully absorbed the Tucker interview of Putin, I wanted to document a few take aways.
Brilliant. Tucker said Putin has encyclopedic knowledge of Russian history. Agreed. His analysis from the 9th century on was nothing short of brilliant.
Another poster observed Biden would not have come across anywhere nearly as well. Again, agreed. Same with Obama. In talking to someone from a different culture, it's sometimes convenient to think of things flipped to embrace the fact that you are dealing with someone with an alien perspective. Alien from our culture, heritage and propaganda indoctrination. Therefore, rather than consider how Putin justifies the war, let us attempt to justify the peace in light of the following.
1. Assurances violated in break up of Soviet Union.
2. Minsk Agreement violated.
3. International and UN law violated.
4. Russia denied entry into NATO.
5. Coup d'état of 2014.
6. Discussions to Expand NATO.
7. Largest concentration of Nazi's in world taking over Ukrainian public policy with aggressive intent toward Russia.
8. Attack on the Russian Orthodox Church.
We can explore each one of these in great detail but it is worth examining the situation in light of the Left apoplectic at Fake News of Russian interference with the CIA's actual track record of topping governments around the world for at least 8 decades. See Poland and “policy of appeasement" that could have otherwise prevented WWII. What all that said, how do you justify the peace?
