Now.... DJT is awaiting his day in court on the charges he was behind this insurrection that he was not even in attendance to.

Jack Smith is intending on "getting him " with this charge and of course if proven guilty DJT will not be able to be on the ballot in November. At least that is the plan.

PLEASE someone explain to me why it is that all of those who have been arrested for being at and in the capitol that day were charged with crimes but not a single one was charged with insurrection.

On Jan. 6, Trump held a rally on the Ellipse grounds which is just south of the White House where he whipped his supporters into a frenzy to go up to Capital Hill and stop the transfer of power. You can find the whole thing online.

He said "When you catch somebody in a fraud, you are allowed to go by very different rules." Basically what he did was tell them that the "weak" Republicans who wouldn't go along with his efforts to stop the transfer of power needed encouragement to do the right thing; and if they didn't they were at liberty to use "different rules." He told them to "fight like hell" and "if you don’t fight like hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore." He told them he'd be going with them; but like the coward he is he didn't go.

So what was Trump doing? Was he simply urging his followers to go up to Capital Hill and protest. Clearly not. He wanted them to stop the transfer of power by any means necessary.

Imo, those people in the building were either FBI agents and ANTIFA, disguised as Trump supporters. I remember a reporter Eye witnessed busloads of these people were sent there specifically for the Dems planned insurrection. (That report was smeared and rendered false).So they are their people. The ones who were not, suffered jail time.
The Dems playback tactics are always the same with attacking the opponent with lawsuits. They do that with anyone who gets in their way. And since the FBI an DOJ are corrupt, REPUBLICANS LOSE.
I remember numerous charges against Sarah Palin that cost lots of money and kept her busy. None of the charges stuck, but what a hassle and time getting out from underneath all of them. Made her not want to run again - they won. What an amazing woman though.
If you get in their way, they will storm your residence- like at a Trumps's Mar-a- Lago. They got nothing really.
They can storm my home because I voted for Trump or someone reported seeing me wearing a MAGA hat. They will try to get me on something and after tearing my home apart see something. "What's this?" Texts? Emails? Not from a given speech thatr I listened to and not to a friend I know who was there on the mall that day... but came home and felt no compunction to wander down the road.

I know a woman who went because she had worked for the GOP and was asked to go to simply show support that she agreed the outcome was wrong.

She did not go to the Capitol as she had gone by bus and did not want to miss her ride home.

I also know that DT offered and wanted to send Natl Guard to the Capitol and he was blocked.

Mr. Trump tweeted at 2:24 p.m., after the riot was under way: “Mike Pence didn’t have the courage to do what should have been done.”

Trump knew what would happen--the crowd was stirred up and he didn't try to stop it. Don't think for a moment he didn't know what was going on--he sure did. Poor Pence if that crowd would've gotten a hold of him, Trump could've told them to stop, but he did'nt--not til later.
I am still amazed that there are folk here who stick up for him.

Whoever incites, sets on foot, assists, or engages in any rebellion or insurrection against the authority of the United States or the laws thereof, or gives aid or comfort thereto, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.​

Hence, a prosecutor would have to establish that the events of January 6th were, in fact, an "insurrection" as understood in the common law (meaning the case law). The case law indicates insurrection is "a violent uprising or organized resistance against the government or its regulations." Convincing a criminal jury beyond a reasonable doubt that the events of January 6th rose to that level of seriousness would be an uphill battle. They strike many of us more like a Monty Python skit gone awry.

Prosecutors are interested in low-hanging fruit - i.e., what they are damn sure they can prove. The decision as to what charges to bring - i.e., what can we actually prove with the evidence we have?- is a critically important one. When the Select Committee referred Trump to the DOJ, insurrection was one of the charges in its report. When the DOJ got the case, however, insurrection was not included in the indictment, surely for the reasons I suggest.

Ditto for the cases of the other individuals - why dive into the "insurrection" quagmire when we can easily charge them with more clearly defined and easier-to-prove crimes?

This was kind of the absurdity of the state courts attempting to remove Trump from the ballot on the basis of being an insurrectionist when there had been no charge, no conviction, and even the common law understanding of insurrection would be difficult to apply to the events of January 6.
