NO!

Your are not going to get out of this one!

Since the Apostle Paul (a Christian) wrote the epistle now called “To The Hebrews”, he warned CHRISTIANS about the dangers of sinning wilfully!

“For if **WE** sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.” (Hebrews 10:26-27)

HEBREWS—NOTE ON 10:26–27 sinning deliberately. Willfully sinning and
refusing to repent. after receiving. The author refers especially to people
within the Christian community, who have thus heard the truth.

The fact that
they “go on sinning deliberately even after receiving knowledge of the truth”

indicates that the people in view are not (and never were) genuine believers;
that is, these are people who have never genuinely embraced the gospel in a
way that has resulted in a life of faith, obedience, and the bearing of fruit. no
longer remains a sacrifice for sins.

This could refer to the inability of willful,
unrepentant sinners to be restored (see 6:4–6), or more likely to the fact that
there is no place for them to turn for forgiveness outside of Christ’s sacrifice—

which they have rejected.

Judgment. All people face judgment (see 9:27–28),
and apart from Christ’s sacrifice his adversaries receive eternal damnation.
These verses, then, function as a means used by God to call genuine Christians
to faith, obedience, and perseverance; and, if there is no evidence of fruit in
one’s life, to challenge such people to give fearful consideration as to whether
they are in fact genuine believers.

SDA's who teach "salvation by grace plus law, faith plus works." (Galatians 1:6-9)

Adventism and the Gospel

Seventh-day Adventists teach that the near the end of time the "mark of the best" of Revelation 14 will be placed upon those who worship on Sunday instead of Saturday. What are the "Commandments of God"?

Straight Talk on the Dangers of Seventh-day Adventism. Seventh-day Adventists have institutionalized deception.

I have to smile, there are many Seventh Day Adventists on this forum....and by tarring and feathering them all is not Christ like

2Ti_2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

2 TIMOTHY—NOTE ON 2:19 But. In spite of the work of evildoers and evil
teachers, God’s firm foundation (probably meaning the elect members of
the church; see v. 10) still stands firm. bearing this seal.

The twofold
inscription that follows emphasizes (1) divine sovereignty (preserving) and
(2) human responsibility (persevering). While some believers may have
apostatized (v. 18), Paul finds assurance in the fact that God knows those
who are his. At the same time, those who claim to be the Lord’s must
demonstrate this as they depart from iniquity.

Not necessarily brother. We may know the Bible intellectually, even in our old age, quoting scriptures out of context, not willing to remain teachable.

It shall help thee greatly to understand scripture
If thou mark not only what is spoken
Or written
But of whom
And to whom
with what words
At what time
Where
To what intent
With what circumstances
Considering what goeth before
And what followeth after

Miles Coverdale.

I want to remain teachable, and have learned a lot, eat the chicken, spit out the sticks, but don't attack the person.

I am sure that others may benefit from Johann's "lazy method" in the proclamation of the Scriptures, I have nothing to boast about, and don't lean on my own understanding, but I do have a problem when others, such as yourself, are too lazy to study, rightly cutting straight the D'var of YHVH.

I did specify SDA's 'WHO' teach "salvation by grace plus law, faith plus works." Wasn't trying to tar and feather ALL of them. There are always some who find the truth in spite of what their church teaches and not because of what it teaches.

Over used phrase of the heretics…

Just another tactical tool that is overused.

Don’t take up their battle cry.
You may call me what you like @Michiah-Imla, we are to redeem the time, and that is exactly what I am doing, and to remain teachable.
You have made a mistake on Hebrew 10.26, as we all make mistakes on many doctrinal issues.

We need each other, whether you like it or not.

1Co 12:12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

1Co 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

1Co 12:14 For the body is not one member, but many.

1Co 12:15 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

1Co 12:16 And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

1Co 12:17 If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?

1Co 12:18 But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.

1Co 12:19 And if they were all one member, where were the body?

1Co 12:20 But now are they many members, yet but one body.

1Co 12:21 And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.

1Co 12:22 Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:

1Co 12:23 And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.

1Co 12:24 For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked:

1Co 12:25 That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.

1Co 12:26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

1Co 12:27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

1Co 12:28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

1Co 12:29 Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?

1Co 12:30 Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?

1Co 12:31 But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.

You have a blessed day

What do think will happen to you if you don’t continue grounded and settled in the faith? Want to try it out and temp God to see what will happen at Judgment?

“…now hath he reconciled [you] In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel…” (Colossians 1:21-23)

I dont appreciate your lie.

Listen up , ....i dont teach "sinless perfection",and that is what you are referring to..

I teach..

""""""But now being made free from sin""""

= "Christ always gives me the VICTORY"....over sin, the flesh, and the devil, exactly as Paul teaches it, Ronald.Roman 6:22 :
I learned it from PAUL.
Understand?

I teach......> becoming the "fullness of the Stature of Christ", ... Just as Paul teaches it..
I teach...>"as many as be perfect"......Just as Paul teaches it.

So, hang your carnal lying posts on the right person, as they dont belong to me.
ROMANS—NOTE ON 7:13–25 If the law is not sin, is it the case that the good
law is responsible for death? Paul argues that the fault lies with sin, not with
the law. Through the law, sin is revealed in all its hideousness, and the law
is vindicated as good. The section can be subdivided into vv. 14–17, 18–20,
and 21–25.

A long-standing debate centers on whether Paul is describing
believers or unbelievers.

Although good arguments are given by both sides,
the most widely held view—beginning especially with Augustine and
reaffirmed in the Reformation—is that Paul’s primary reference is to
believers. In support of this position: (1) the shift to the present tense; (2)
unbelievers do not desire so intensely to keep God’s law (v. 21); (3) the
distinction between the “I” and the “flesh” (v. 18); (4) the delight in God’s
law (v. 22); (5) deliverance from the sinful body is future (v. 24; 8:10, 11,
23); (6) the tension between good and evil in the concluding statement in
7:25; and (7) the fact that Christians are already righteous in Christ but are
not yet perfected until the day of redemption.

A second position, not as
widely held but supported by a number of evangelical scholars, is that Paul
is referring to unbelievers.

In support of this position: (1) the structure of
the passage (vv. 7–25 matches the life of the unregenerate previewed in v. 5,
whereas 8:1–17 fits with the life of believers identified in 7:6); (2) the Holy
Spirit is not mentioned in vv. 13–25 but is referred to 19 times in ch. 8; (3)
to say that Christians are “sold under sin” (7:14) and “captive to the law of
sin” (v. 23) stands in tension with chs. 6 and 8, which trumpet the freedom
of believers from slavery to sin; (4) the suggestion that the present tense
does not denote present time but the spiritual state of Paul when
unconverted; (5) the desire to keep God’s law reflects the mind-set of the
pious Jew who wanted to live a moral life (as the verses emphasize, such
people do not and cannot keep the law); and (6) the section’s opening verse
(v. 13) explains how the law brought death to Paul as an unbeliever.
Advocates of both positions agree that (1) Christians still struggle with sin
through their whole lives (see Gal. 5:17; 1 John 1:8–9); and (2) Christians
can and should grow in sanctification throughout their lives by the power of
the Holy Spirit dwelling within them (Rom. 8:2, 4, 9, 13–14). Those who
hold to the first position usually see this passage as describing both Paul’s
own experience and the experience of Christians generally.

Although
Christians are free from the condemnation of the law, sin nonetheless
continues to dwell within, and all genuine Christians (along with Paul)
should be profoundly aware of how far they fall short of God’s absolute

standard of righteousness.

Thus Paul cries out, “Wretched man that I am!
Who will deliver me from this body of death?” (7:24). The answer follows
immediately: the one who has delivered Christians once for all (see 4:2–25;
5:2, 9) and the one who will deliver them day by day is “Jesus Christ our
Lord!” (7:25).

As in many other places in Paul’s letters, this reflects his
emphasis on both the “already” aspect of salvation (that believers have been
saved) and the “not yet” aspect (that believers will be saved ultimately and
for all eternity at the return of Christ), and that they live in the tension
between the already and the not yet.

In the section that immediately follows
(8:1–11), Paul shows that the means by which Christians are delivered daily
from the indwelling power of sin is: (1) by walking “not according to the
flesh but according to the Spirit” (8:4); (2) by not “set[ting] their minds on
the things of the flesh, but … on the things of the Spirit” (8:5); and (3) by
the indwelling presence of “the Spirit of God [who] dwells in you” (8:9,
11).

We have not reach sinless perfection in this life, in word, thought, and deed.

So, tell me…

What do think will happen to you if you don’t continue grounded and settled in the faith? Want to try it out and temp God to see what will happen at Judgment? Put your money where your mouth is (as well as all of the other gainsayers in this thread):

“…now hath he reconciled [you] In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel…” (Colossians 1:21-23)

ALL OF YOU PROUD LOUD MOUTHS, GO UNSETTLED AND UN-GROUNDED IN THE FAITH AND SEE WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN THE END!

Let’s see how brave you really are!

Since you elevate yourselves above the word of God…
COLOSSIANS—NOTE ON 1:21–22 once … now. Paul presents a strong
contrast between the Colossians’ pre-Christian status and their favorable

situation now as Christians.

Alienated. Sin has resulted in estrangement
from God (Eph. 2:12; 4:18) and thus creates the need for reconciliation.
This is due, in part, to the fact that nonbelievers are hostile in mind to God
(Rom. 1:21).

The result of reconciliation is that Christ is now working in all
the believers to present you holy and blameless before God. This is the
same language used in the OT to describe the unblemished animals that the
Levitical priest would bring for a sacrifice to God. When Christ brings his
followers to the Father for inspection, they will be found to be above

reproach.

COLOSSIANS—NOTE ON 1:23 if indeed you continue in the faith. The form
of this phrase in Greek (using the Gk. particle ei and the indicative mood of
the verb epimenō) indicates that Paul fully expects that the Colossian

believers will continue in the faith; no doubt is expressed.

That is what you are doing, casting doubt on the fact that we are to continue in the faith...and no doubt is expressed here from Paul to the Colossians...

Nevertheless, the
statement shows that faithfulness to the end is essential in the Christian life
(cf. Matt. 10:22). not shifting.

The idea here is very similar to Jesus’ story
contrasting the person who built his house on the sand with the one who
built his house on the rock (Matt. 7:24–27). Paul wanted the Colossians to
build their house on the solid foundation of truth and not on the shifting
sands of false teaching. In all creation is a general statement meaning that
the gospel has gone widely throughout the Greco-Roman world, to both

Jews and Gentiles (cf. Col. 1:6).

Nothing too difficult to understand

Have a blessed day
J.

We have not reach sinless perfection in this life, in word, thought, and deed.

There is no such thing as "sinless perfection"< exactly as there is no such thing as "OSAS".

The are man made terms, created by heretics, who do not understand the finished work of Jesus on the Cross.

The Truth is...... the Cross of Christ has forever created the means by which sin is resolved.
How?
"By the one time ETERNAL sacrifice of Jesus".
This is the Blood atonement, and it resolves all sin based on the fact that Jesus has paid for them all, by literally becoming sin.

"God hath MADE JESUS to be sin for us".

Jesus became all our sin and the born again became "the righteousness of God in Christ"..

This is the DIVINE EXCHANGE that happens at the Cross when a person is born again.

See that?
So, that is where and how all sin is resolved, ...its by the redemption of it based on the Cross of Christ.

This explains :

Romans 4:8
1 Corinthians 5:19

This means that the person who has received God's redemption, """"(The GIFT of Salvation and The GIFT of Righteousness)"" now exists as "made righteous"...."one with God", and born again.
God caused that to happen and God maintains it, not the born again person.

Philippians 1:6
Hebrews 12:2

That is the eternal status of every Born again "new creation" in Christ.

Now, to exist on earth, as "the fullness of the Stature of Christ", as Paul teaches we are to become.... is to live in the renewed mind that is not controlled by deception or sin consciousness (the mind of the flesh).
When the born again learns to exist there, by right understanding of what it means to have become "the righteousness of God in Christ", then they are able to live here.....= "as many as be PERFECT"< Paul teaches.
This is based on revelation that is believed, as all this is spiritual knowledge that is become the RENEWED mind of the person who is born again.

Paul explains how this "perfection" is achieved...... like this...

"Christ ALWAYS gives me the VICTORY".... and that victory is not based on effort, its based on right understanding of what it means to HAVE BECOME "a new creation in Christ".

This victory over the world, the flesh and the devil, is...... ALWAYS available., and that is the perfected discipleship that is not known by "church fathers", or by any heretic who believes they can lose their salvation.

Paul knew and teaches this as = sustained ""victory"", and all the born again should be existing in it.
Most are not.

So, you reckon Christ, our Asham bearer, became sin in a LITERAL sense?

Just as God dealt with his people in old time for their wickedness in ignoring God’s word, so will he deal with this evil generation which refuse to submit to the word of God! and it will be much worse for them on the other side for all those who tamper with the word!!

“The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the LORD of hosts mustereth the host of the battle. They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, even the LORD, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.” (Isaiah 13:4-5)

“Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty. Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man's heart shall melt: And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames. Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.” (Isaiah 13:6-9)
