From the description I thought, "What preacher would say these words? Hell is a horrible place and no christian should ever say these things."

But by the context he is saying the same thing that's exemplified in 1 Corinthians 5:5.

Implicitly supporting sin can only hurt the fellowship as a whole and shroud the sin of those responsible so they won't repent. It will profit no-one to allow evil to persist in a fellowship.

Or we could give them the Gospel. I know it's true that if a person doesn't accept Jesus, they are going to face Hell, but that is NOT the good news.
