    They were Jews by nationality.
    But not by religion.

    Indeed Jewish is BOTH a nationality AND a religion.
    By the time the bible was put together,,,the 400's about,,,the Jews by religion were known as Christians.

    Sooooo, I have asked that ONE of you show me where the Bible teaches Sola Scriptura - and so far, you've ALL failed.
    Instead, all I get are angry "goodbyes" and "I'm done with you's" instead of ACTUAL Scriptural evidence for your claims.

    Listen - if you are going to elevate something to a doctrine - make sure you can prove using the means by which you state is our SOLE Authority.

    I'm sure you know the verse...could you post it?

    First of all - YOU have to show me where the BIBLE says that everything we believe in has to be written in the Bible.
    CAN you show me that??

    The Holy Spirit doesn't guide everything. He doesn't guide anybody into wrongdoing or sin.
    However - Jesus guaranteed the Holy Spirit would guide His Church to ALL truth . . .

    If only the papacy was as accommodating toward the millions of Christians they turned over to the State for execution during the Dark Ages for holding "opinions" not taught by the papacy, right?

    Enoch111, very definition of "Antichrist" is "in place of Christ", "instead of Christ", "in behalf of Christ", "for Christ".

    The papacy has always claimed to be just that, even as it does so this day.

    Excuse me but the faith of Abraham was the same faith of the Apostles which should also be our faith.

    You mean by the time the NT was confirmed.
    A Jew doesn't stop being a Jew when he believes in his long awaited promised Messiah. If anything, he becomes a 'completed Jew' going from a relationship of Feasts, Traditions and Holy Days, to a living relationship with the One all those Feasts etc. pointed to in shadows and types.

    That's a bit of a strange statement.
    How can one only read the parts one likes without reading the other texts?
    I mean.....one needs to read all in order to find out what one likes, right?

    Not tradition, but prayerful consideration as to which to cling as inspired by God and which to cast off as inspired by Satan. It's called the gift of Discernment - by way of the Holy Spirit.
    Only one "divine Person", not persons - Jesus Christ.
    "Sola Scriptura" doesn't mean we never read anything but the Bible - it means all others are subordinate to the Bible.
    So, what do you think about the papacy claiming that if a Christian wants to use the Bible as the final authority on religious matters, that he join the Seventh-day Adventist church?

    I've never read revelation all the way through.
    I've tried....I just can't.

    Yes,,,one must read it all to know what they like.
    But they kind of refuse to see parts of the bible they don't like.
    At lease this happens with the persons to whom I post.
    They just stick to what they like and basically ignore my verses.
    I do answer to all verses...I've read it all and am not prejiduced.
    But good catch T...
    you're sharp.

    You twisted my words to mean their opposite. Where did I say Gentiles become Jews or Jews become Gentiles? I was making a case for Jewish identity of Jews. Is that how you also twist Scripture?
    The verse you are misapplying refers to our identity in Christ as His Body...'there is neither...etc.', otherwise Christians might as well join the world in it's gender confusion lol.

    That may be so. But the fact remains that God allows the Antichrist just 3 1/2 years to do his dastardly deeds.

    Therefore you will find in both Daniel and revelation:
    Forty and two months (42 mths)
    One thousand two hundred and three score days (1260 days)
    Time, times, and half a time = 1 yr + 2 yrs + 6 months = 3 1/2 yrs

    On the other hand the Papacy has been around for about 1500 years. It displays the characteristics of the Antichrist, but never has any pope had total and absolute control over all the inhabitants of the earth.

    Why do you fight so hard against the "day/year" principle regarding the time of the Little Horn and the time of the First Beast of Rev 13 when the 70 Weeks of Daniel are clearly symbolic days? It's not 3 1/2 literal years, it's 3 1/2 symbolic years which is 1,260 literal years: the exact reign of the papacy from 538 to 1798 when it received the "deadly wound".

    The "going forth of the commandmetn to restore and build Jerusalem" is found in Ezra 7 and was decreed in 5th century B.C. NO WAY THE 70 WEEKS ARE LITERAL.

    Can you honestly say that Satan and the Antichrist have had ABSOLUTE CONTROL of the earth for the last 1500 years?

    And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

    Do you know what that would actually mean if you took Revelation 13 seriously and literally as seen above? We must take 3 1/2 years as a literal period of 42 months or 1260 days to see that God would never allow the devil control of the earth as described in Revelation 13 for more than this period. We are talking about the Church Age, when the Gospel must be preached in the whole wide world and millions of souls must be saved.

    The Bible does not say the Antichrist will have "absolute control" over the entire Earth for the tenure of its reign - you're saying that - however, it is described to at some point fully attain to this degree of control before it's destroyed "with the brightness of His coming".
    That's what the papacy did during the Dark Ages. It condemned between 50-150 MILLION "heretics" to death. It ruled over all the nations of Europe until the the close of its 1,260 year reign, when nations began rebelling against it. It received a "deadly wound" at the end of its reign by the very SWORD (France) that it used to have those millions of saints killed. The nation of France who was the most fierce of all the persecuting powers at the hands of the papacy. "He that killeth with the sword must be killed by the sword" - the sword of France.
    Why are you denying history? The papacy RULED over Christianity for ONE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED AND SIXTY YEARS, from 538 to 1798. It's a matter of history. Asking why God would allow something to take place that has already taken place is just silly.

    He allowed it.
    His prophets predicted it.
    The Word of God testified to it.
    And history records it.

    And the Jesuits covered it up by fabricating the very doctrine about a "future Antichrist" that you so boldly preach!

    The Bible states, as I have shown repeatedly, that WHATEVER Christ's Church ordains on earth will also be ordained in Heaven . . .
