John 13:34-35 NIV “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

John 15:12 NIV My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.

John 15:17 NIV This is my command: Love each other.

Gal 5:6 NIV For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.

Gal 5:14 NIV For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

1 Tim 1:3-7 NIV As I urged you when I went into Macedonia, stay there in Ephesus so that you may command certain people not to teach false doctrines any longer 4or to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies. Such things promote controversial speculations rather than advancing God’s work—which is by faith. 5The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. 6Some have departed from these and have turned to meaningless talk. 7They want to be teachers of the law, but they do not know what they are talking about or what they so confidently affirm.

1 John 3:23 NIV And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us.

1 John 4:21 NIV And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.

2 John 1:5-6 NIV And now, dear lady, I am not writing you a new command but one we have had from the beginning. I ask that we love one another. 6 And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.

I stand corrected. Okay, so that old serpent is doing better with the church than he did with God's Holy Angels....

Oh, for....look, whether you "need the law" or not...you obey the law. It is a part of you.
You do not worship other gods.
You do not make idols and worship them.
You do not use the Lord's name as a curse.
    You...well, never mind.
You are kind to your parents.
    You do not kill.
    You do not commit adultery.
    You do not steal.
You do not spread lies about other people.
You are not jealous over your neighbor's possessions.

    Why?
I'll bet you can guess this one....

Do you even read my posts? I've already answered you on this. Demons believe Jesus is the Christ, but have they accepted Him as their Lord and Savior. NO.

I would like to introduce an idea...

We who believe in the doctrine of the perseverance of the saints in no way profess a dead faith, nor are we antinomians...yet when it comes to soteriology we do believe we are saved through the belief of the death of Jesus Christ for our sins and His resurrection by the grace and free gift of God.This is the entirety of the gospel for salvation.

What we believe about works is it is the natural progression and out working of being born again. These works do nothing to secure or maintain our salvation. These works are accredited to God as working in and through us.

We do not believe that sin will disqualify any born again believer for the free gift of salvation. All sin is deliberate, yet repentance is the natural working of God in us through the conviction He places on us. We believe as His children we are chastised but not condemned.

My language in this post may need to be refined and I am willing to answer any questions you might have. Also I would like to add that some who claim to follow this doctrine may disagree with some statements as presented, yet that in no way contradicts this presentation.

    Thanks!

If you do not follow His commandments, you have not accepted Him either...so back to following satan and his demons...you like following satan and his demons?...Isn't free will grand, it gives you choices....

6 He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.
7 Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?
8 And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:
9 And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down. - Luke 13

We as Christians are expected to produce fruit. The thing i dislike about the OSAS doctrine is that it justifies the lack of fruit in believers.

This here is a classic example of a straw man in the making....

Tell me Rocky, where do you gather such a notion from this definition?

The perseverance of the saints means that all those who are truly born again will be kept by God’s power and will persevere as Christians until the end of their lives, and that only those who persevere until the end have been truly born again.

The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

If you have the Spirit of God within that very same Spirit will bare witness with your spirit that you are a son of God. No need for John Calvin mind games!

    Yes.

1 Peter 1:3-5 NIV Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, 5who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.

1Jn 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
1Jn 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
1Jn 3:24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

Joh 15:12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

Mar_12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
Mar_12:31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

Yes its all about Love, for God is Love

Calvin is never mentioned but by you...

You completely avoided the question. Can you answer it please?

The mind is not strengthened by Calvin, but by the Scriptures.

We are not kept by our own strength or power rather by God's power. Those who are His produce fruit.

I believe the churches as seven...

    Ephesus - Apostolic
Smyrna - Martyr - Foxes has the Roman persecutions as ten
Pergamos - Orthodox... Pergos is a tower... Needed in the dark ages
Thyatira - Catholic - The spirit of Jezebel is to control and to dominate.
Sardis - Protestant - A sardius is a gem - elegant yet hard and rigid
Philadelphia - Wesleyism - To be sanctioned is to acquire it with love.
Laodicea - Materialistic - Rich and increased with goods and have need of nothing?

As the doctrine of salvation was a hot topic in the Sardisean church age the Lord Jesus Christ throws in his two cents...

He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. - Revelation 3:5

and to throw in another scripture...

And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved. - Matthew 10:22

So this is a race in which we have got to run all of our days...
