Sad, very sad indeed. I've been an elder to elders and you think that I don't understand the course of church discipline? The first step is always to confront a brother privately and that is always what I've done. The congregation and the Lord has always done the rest and you clearly are clueless about the primary role of the prophet.
You are not a Samuel by any means. Your haughty spirit gives it away. and you skipped a step before it gets to the congregation.
Please show me this in scripture. For that matter, show me where the authority of a pastor is even defined. Didn't you know that every pastor who preaches in the power of the Spirit is a prophet?
Sad, very sad indeed.
You almost sound pentecostal.
But no a Pastor may be a prophet but not all pastors are prophets.
But as for the authority of a pastor:
Matt. 18:
17 And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.
18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
This is in the church. The Apsotles were the first elders and they passed on this authority. Church folk cannot do this for they must bring it before 2-3 witnesses and then before the congregation which by default requires the elders.
Ephesians 4:11-13
King James Version
11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
This is not in a prescribed order but simply a list.
1 Timothy 5:17
Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.
Titus 1:5-11
King James Version
5 For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee:
6 If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly.
7 For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;
8 But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate;
9 Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.
10 For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision:
11 Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake.
James 5:14
Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
1 Peter 5
The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being examples to the flock. ...
1 Timothy 3
King James Version
3 This is a true saying, if a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.
2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
3 Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;
4 One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;
5 (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)
6 Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.
7 Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
- Hebrews 13:7
Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.

- Hebrews 13:17
Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.

- Hebrews 13:24
Salute all them that have the rule over you, and all the saints. They of Italy salute you.
To sum up what Gods Word says:
1. teach the flocks
2. Feed the flocks
3. Watch over the flocks
4. Rule th eflocks.
By the way, I was ordained for the ministry by the laying on of the hands and prayer by a wonderful elderly pastor at Grace Tabernacle in South Belmar, NJ, now called Lake Coumo. It was an independent Baptist congregation, but I'm no less ordained, no less annointed, no less taught by God, no less sent to the mission, no less a witness to the judgment, and preacher of the gospel.
Have a nice day.;)
Well then as Pastor to Pastor congratulations. Are you pastoring a local church now? Are you sitting under a shepherd now? I am in an independant Baptist church as well. It takes the laying on of hands by th eelders of a church that elevates one to the pastorate whether it be a big sect, or a small locaql church.
