God loved the World by giving to the World His Son, that whosoever (out of the World) believes will have everlasting life. Christ said that there is no greater love than a man lay down His life for a friend, and He lay down His life for us. John writes that God is love, and how God showed His love among us was in sending His only Son into the world that we might live through Him. Paul writes that there is no greater gift than love and that of all things Christ has preeminence.
There is no greater gift to mankind than the gift God showed us in the giving of His Son, of His Son giving of His life, that we might live.
