Care to elaborate? Here's my opinion, for what it's worth:
The catholic church is a cult.
Do you even know what a "cult" is??

The catholic church is a cult.
Translation: "I can't argue that point with you because the Catholic Church IS the only Church that can trace itself back to the Apostles in an unbroken like of Bishops and Popes."
That's pretty much what I thought . . .
The Orthodox were once part of the Catholic Church - and no, they don't have a Pope. So, the Orthodox can't claim that because they have no Pope?
Yes the Orthodox are still a part of teh harlot church, just one of the daughters, pope or no pope. The Orthodox were once part of the Catholic Church - and no, they don't have a Pope.
This was the crux of their departure. The DO, however, have valid Apostolic Succession.
Are you still here?Yes the Orthodox are still a part of teh harlot church, just one of the daughters, pope or no pope.

Time for a vocabulary lesson . . .Well, let me put it this way: The Catholic Church is not a Christian Church.
The fact that it accepts many Christian doctrines is irrelevant.
That it teaches salvation by works proves that it is not a Christian religion. The fact that some are saved within the Roman Catholic Church only means that some, like Luther, have found salvation (by God’s grace) because they studied the Bible—or because Christians witnessed to them and they were saved by hearing the gospel
Praying to Mary and other dead saints is not biblical and praying to anyone other than God is idolatry. To bow down to a statue or painting and pray to it is evil and it is forbidden in Scripture. When confronted some Catholics say we don’t pray to them, but we ask them to pray for us. I’ve talked to Catholics who actually told me they pray directly to Mary.
Jesus never taught to pray to dead people.Time for a vocabulary lesson . . .
Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary:
Full Definition of pray
transitive verb
1: entreat, implore —often used as a function word in introducing a question, request, or plea<pray be careful>
2: to get or bring by praying
intransitive verb
1: to make a request in a humble manner
2: to address God or a god with adoration, confession, supplication, or thanksgiving
As you can plainly see - the word "Pray" simply means to ASK. It is legal, juridical language that you will find in Court documents and Police reports. In fact "worship" is not even a primary definition - bur a secondary one.
It is in THIS sense that we "pray" to Mary and the saints in heaven - to ASK them for their prayers. This is NO different than asking (praying to) a fellow Christian here on earth to pray for us because those in Heaven are part of the Body of Christ (Heb. 12:1). Who gave YOU the Authority to kick them out of the Body??
As for your incredibly ignorant statement that the Catholic Church is NOT a Christian Church - please tell me when the Catholic Church came into existence. I can't WAIT to hear this answer . . .
PS - you STILL haven't explained to me what a "cult" is and how the Catholic Church is one.
Jesus never taught to help old ladies cross the street either - so it that "forbidden"??Jesus never taught to pray to dead people.
It's a man made rule of the catholic church.
Where in Scripture does it say that the dead in heaven are perfected?Jesus never taught to help old ladies cross the street either - so it that "forbidden"??
YOUR problem, besides Sola Scriptura - is that you believe that those in Heaven are "dead", when they are MORE alive that YOU are because they have been perfected in Christ.
Rev. 21:27 tells us that NOTHING impure or imperfect can enter Heaven.Where in Scripture does it say that the dead in heaven are perfected?
Come on smart guy, go ask the pope if you have to, but you won't get an answer.
Now, there's an intelligent response . . .your problem is that you're YOU are you can't get away from it

(Job 2:1-2) "Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD. {2} And the LORD said unto Satan, From whence comest thou? And Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it."
(Job 2:7) "¶ So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown."
(Revelation 21:1-2) "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. {2} And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband."
(Revelation 21:27) "And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life."
Rev. 21:27 tells us that NOTHING impure or imperfect can enter Heaven.

thanksNow, there's an intelligent response . . .
WHO said that Satan was in Heaven conversing with God??What exactly do you mean by the word "impurity" and "imperfect"? If by "impurity" you mean our flesh, then I can agree, but if by impurity you mean the sins that brought death upon the flesh, well, I don't get where people get such idea's from, because if it was true, then Satan wouldn't have been able to stand in the very presence of the Lord to have a little discussion concerning Job, among other things.
Its often claimed that God cannot look upon sin, yet God is all eyes and ears when it comes to Satan, the father of lies and the first sinner. The reason being is simple for me, he can stand before God, see his face and not die because he is an angel, a pure spirit being, while we are not. As far as the verse you cite as proof, its not even referring to heaven, but of new Jerusalem, which only comes into view on the new earth, not this current fallen one.
With this, it is easy to see why it later states that nothing that commits abominations or defiles will enter through the gates, because those concerned have been drop kicked into the lake of fire at this point. They will no longer exist, or even so much as come to mind.

I too, thought it was intelligent
at least we have that in common
