My spirit is not your spirit. How do you miss the point of every comment I make?
Very nice. Very nice. Hopefully one day I can rise to a fraction of your level of spirituality. My spirit is not your spirit.
You need to. Psalms 51:10Very nice. Very nice. Hopefully one day I can rise to a fraction of your level of spirituality.
I don't suppose you care to share your secret with folks here...You need to.
Ah, the spirit of arrogance. I've never prayed for that. That must be where I'm coming up short. Couldn't you go and troll somewhere else for a while? You need to. Psalm 51:10
According to your theology, I've just been kidding myself for the last 48 years. I'm not a Christian at all. When I knelt with my great-grandmother at her couch at 8 years of age and asked the Lord to come into my heart, He must have actually declined the invitation. If anyone has bad thoughts, they have a bad spirit, they need Jesus in their life. When Christ enters in, the devil departs.
Did He render all righteousness null and void whe He was baptized? Are you sure that's what "fulfilled" means?
Mat 3:14-15 KJV 14 But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? 15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.
This is a repeat in fact. Can't you be a little original?
It's a repeat of the farcical lamentable junk joke curse <<Jesus fulfilled the Law and thus rendered it null and void! AS written in Galatians>> COMPLETE. Agh to get sick of...
Christ gave His commandments on Mount Sinai. He and His Father are One. He says "If you love me, keep my commandments." He kept His Fathers commandments. I have responded to His knock and asked Him to enter my heart, forgive me and change me. I don't understand fancy talk about the law. "Righteous requirements of the law of Christ" makes no sense to me.
If I get pulled over for speeding and say "But I was keeping the righteous requirements of the highway safety laws," I'm still getting a ticket.
By your fruits are you known.According to your theology, I've just been kidding myself for the last 48 years. I'm not a Christian at all. When I knelt with my great-grandmother at her couch at 8 years of age and asked the Lord to come into my heart, He must have actually declined the invitation.
I agreed with you until the last one. None of them were repeated in the New Covenant. They were the bottom line, but never went deep enough to make anyone righteous. Someone with hatred in his heart may still not murder - the bottom line.
Where in the Bible does it say Christ "fulfilled" the law at His resurrection? Not at His Baptism, but his resurrection. He fulfilled it all by the time he arose. His death being the capstone. There is no more law for righteousness. When one gets saved the very righteousness of Jesus is imputed to them!
Where in the Bible are these stronger laws? We've had entire Sabbath School quarterlies on subjects like "walking in the Spirit."As I told you, I knew you would say that. But the New Covenant Commandments that Jesus brought to us can actually make us righteous to the core, not white washed sepulchers.
I've already showed you this, but you still don't understand the difference.
John 15:10
10 If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.
Fulfilling the law is to fill up the empty spaces making them COMPLETE like this:
“You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.’ 22 But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment.
“You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ 28 But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
How is speeding over the limit KEEPING the righteous requirements of the highway safety laws? You are believing the lie debaters in the SDA church have said for decades that everyone else, besides SDA, are lawbreakers. You really don't understand walking in the Spirit. I know I never learned about it when I was SDA. But you don't break the Ten Commandments, you keep stronger laws that cover them and more, and the Truth of the law, not just the bottom line while the heart is rotten.
