Aren't you assuming that Ananias was one of those who heard from the Lord Himself, and discounting Paul's statement that this in fact describes himself?
Marks,
how can the person who led you to Christ, or the person who led the person who led you to Christ not be the one who was taught to do it?
Why am i here, if i was not taught by the one who was taught, all the way back to Paul, and Jesus, and the OT.
We are all a part of the Tree, that started it.
Jesus received from God what to say and Do.
We, have received from those who went before, traced all the way back to the the Epistles.
So, what idea are you trying to promote when you suggest that im "assuming" that Ananias heard from the Lord..... when the verse says that He received a Vision, that instructed Him to go to Paul. ?
Who do you think gave him that vision?
Mohammed?
Donald Duck.
Ananias was a BROTHER< born again, or the heavenly vision that TOLD HIM to go to PAUL, would not have been given to him.
He would not have been a born again, had he not been INSTRUCTED in the Faith, long before he was told to Go to Paul.
So, when Paul says, in your verse """""that he received from someone""""........He is not kidding.
Ananias is that someone.
And let me show you something more to consider as you figure all this out.
On this Forum, im "Behold".
On other forums, im also, but on even more forums, im Bethel, and Kidron, and others, for years.
So, sometimes i show up on a new forum, as occasionally a new one pops up, and so, i'll go there and start teaching and someone will pm me and say...."hey Behold", or "hey Kidron".
They know me by how i SOUND and WRITE and
TEACH........as this is all unique = to me.
So, when you study Paul for 30+ years, you learn how he sounds and writes.
Here is Paul.
He is the apostle who always writes about the BLOOD of Jesus. = That is one of His mainstays... His CORE Gospel.
And He talks about "finishing his course". and "running the race"
See those 2?
Thats
PAUL... not Jude, or Mark, or John, or Timothy, or Titus.
Paul is all about the "" BLOOD the CROSS and the Course and the Race"
Remember that, Bro.
Now Look..
Hebrews 12 : 1
""""and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,"""
See that?
That is "finished my course"....
That's Paul in another verse he wrote...
Now.....Look at this...
Hebrews 9.
12 Neither by the
blood of goats and calves, but by his own
blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
13 For if the
blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.
17 For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.
18 Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without
blood.
19 For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,
20 Saying, This is the
blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.
21 Moreover he sprinkled with
blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry.
22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of
blood is no remission.
Marks, do you see all that BLOOD BLOOD BLOOD?
That is Paul, as His Gospel is bloody, as is His Savior's Salvation..... and is never about water, its always about the shed BLOOD OF JESUS.
Look..
Galatians 3:13
""""""Christ bought us with His
BLOOD and made us free from the Law."""
See that Marks?
That is
"BLOOD BOUGHT", as Paul is explaining in HEBREWS Chapter 9
Paul wrote Hebrews.
Ok then.
Let me go now and deal with some others who don't understand Jesus's reason for dying for them.
