Just in time to leave for the day. I'll tag you when I do.Hah, marks, I think you just consigned yourself to starting the thread.
Well you know, Matthew, I had a long time reading through Revelation with lots and lots and LOTS of different opinions on what this mysterious thing means and what this other mysterious thing means.Okay fair enough, @FluffyYellowDuck it leaves me out of the ability to be in the fold of this type of belief and should focus on other things.
There are many scriptures that would suggest the calling of all these things was for them then.
Like said; I’ll have to focus on other things. All is know for the most part is there is this here.
Hebrews 10:15-25;1 Corinthians 15:1-11; Romans 1:1-17.
The power of God to Salvation is the Gospel of Christ his death, burial, and resurrection, and I believe Jesus had the victory over death, hell, Satan, and sin. It’s great news to me, and Jesus’s death is accredited to all people even those you do not believe.
All will be raised again and judged according to what God sees in their hearts.
Many will say on that day they never sinned, or that they believed Jesus was a good man, good teacher, many will say that they did this and that for the Lord… (being placed outside the kingdom according to revelation 22) when you all get there.
The key is to me personally, it’s all about Jesus and everything he had done. (Especially being resurrected).
You all take care, cause I can’t be part of these conversations unfortunately until the day I get revelation completely down. I don’t believe one should take everything literally but in between literal and figurative.
With love,
Matthew G.
Me too, me too!Just in time to leave for the day. I'll tag you when I do.
Much love!
KJV Matthew 13:30In rev, it shows two reapings. One doesn’t really give detail, but the second one sounds terrifying.
I think the first is our gathering, righteous removed, and the second is where the wicked are removed.
Until I came to that, I was always asking, well which is it? Are the righteous removed or are the wicked removed?? Because one verse says wicked and another says righteous!!
Dividing scripture.
KJV Matthew 13:30
30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
There is a way to better understand Revelation. It isn't all chronological. And some passages have several applications, all of them true. For example. The 7 letters were literal letters for those specific churches in Asia Minor (Turkey) in the first century. But they also can be applied very accurately to phases of church development over the last 2000 years, and thus were not only applicable to John's time, but were prophetic.Well you know, Matthew, I had a long time reading through Revelation with lots and lots and LOTS of different opinions on what this mysterious thing means and what this other mysterious thing means.
And I did this for years. The only way it actually started to make sense to me was just sit down and read it straight through for myself.
There are parts that will be too hard to get and I think that's okay, as long as you can get to the core message.
Which is basically...
Throughout the rest of the NT, Jesus is seen as a humble servant and sacrifice. He is the savior.
In Revelation, he is no longer the humbled servant, he is the glorified king - and we will reign with him.
In the end, Matthew 24 and Luke 21 seem to be about a time when the church - properly defined - is not there any more. We all face the tribulation principle of John 16.33 - and the Lord has gloriously overcome the world, which is such an encouragement - but the very specific tribulation of Matthew 24.21 is distinct.IF this whole thing was the precursor to the mark of the beast, which I think it could be...
1. I think we would go before that time. I don't believe we would be here.
2. BUT if we didn't, how would you survive?
You wouldn't be able to drive because you couldn't afford it.
You wouldn't need a prepped pantry full of 10+ years of food. You wouldn't have a pantry.
I think the Christians would all be nomadic. Maybe we would barter and forage. Maybe we would just have to stick really close together.
But I think of Luke 9, Jesus told the 12 to go with nothing. I feel like it was an act of faith for them and that the Lord would provide for them on their journey.
He's got that "duh" look on his face which is pretty cute!Spiders have cute faces.

One of my highschool friends posts an almost exact post to this on facebook. Hopefully things won't get that bad.Ah good topic that not many are talking about...
Prepping...
I'm ready to disappear into the bush like the predator if I have to...
I'm solo, don't own any property or have anything else to hold me back...
Im prepared to drive my van out into the bush where i will not be found...
I will sleep in my van...
Stocked with carbohydrates like pasta and rice...
Close to a natural water supply...
I will catch my protein by snaring and trapping small game and fish...
I will pray and God will give...
They will have to hunt me down but this state is low in cops and high in bushland wilderness
This reminded me of that meme where the little girl is standing in front of the burning home saying "there was a spider, it's gone now". Made me laugh.
