So you don't believe you can be filled with and led by the Holy Spirit? The New Testament is full of it, and John 14:16-17 which you brought up, is one of the chief passages that describes that happening. If you read those verses and think it means you can't be filled with and led by the Holy Spirit, I really don't know what to tell you. That's exactly what those verses are saying will happen. Followers of Christ are not the world.imho - here as elsewhere it is wrongly being generally stated and accepted that "you can be filled with and led by the Holy Spirit" - presumably you claim this applies to you -,so where did you pick this up or did you make it up and claim being led by the Holy Spirit since the bible at Jn 14 :16-17 seems to say otherwise - twinc
If you don't believe the Holy Spirit is an intimate part of a Christian's life, I feel sorry for you. You're trudging through this life by your own power. It's like trying to mow an acre of grass with a pair of scissors when there is a fully functioning zero-radius riding mower sitting next to you waiting to be used.
