The ark of the covenant was wood covered with gold. It was layered gold, wood, gold. It is a picture of Jesus. Jesus was God (gold) became a man (wood) then ascended to the Father ( gold) He is a man. He was fully human. He is also God the Son.

The ark was gold. It was not God.

I don't know all the intracate details about the Trinity or if Jesus set his divinity aside during his earthly ministry or not. I only know what the Bible teaches. Knowledge of all the mysteries of the Godhead are not required for salvation. I think you could call Jesus God in the flesh.

Yes-- God "in" the flesh. In the same way you could call the ark-- God "in" a box.

Just reference the verse that reads something like The nature of God is a trinity - consisting of the Father, Son & Holy Spirit who are co-equal, co-substantial and co-eternal - and if you do not believe this, you cannot be saved but are damned to hell forever. And stop your belly aching.

If there were such a verse, it would be the most quoted verse in Scripture. Instead, advocates have the audacity to balk when asked what verse states their doctrine. The concept of the trinity is so important that in 66 books, it is not mentioned once! Cricket. Cricket.

Amen, it absolutely is. Jesus, when He was "in the form of God" thought it not robbery to be equal to God, the second Adam is "the Lord from heaven", Jesus praying to the Father, "now glorify me with the glory I had with you before the world began"......it's everywhere in the word of God. It shows you how this is a spiritual battle more than an intellectual one, when some can be blind to what is plainly set before them. Or as someone suggested, hearts are hardened against the truth. Or perhaps vested interest in a particular point of view, or trusting in man/church over the Lord, or too proud to change one's mind...etc.

If you don’t have a verse in 66 books that directly teaches your dogma, AND IF you had the fruit of the Spirit, including humility and self control, you’d simply humbly admit you believe what is not there, not call people names.
