Reader,
If you are a Christian, then this means you were saved in what?
Saved in What? ???
What?
A.) You were saved IN......... YOUR...........Sins......>"while you were YET.... a sinner".
Notice this verse...
"Jesus came into the world to save SINNERS".........and why is that? Its because there is nothing else.
AA) "All have SINNED"......the Bible Teaches.
So, if you are a Christian, (not just water baptized and religious), but truly born again......then you were "saved" while you were still a sinner..
Now, lets say you had been trying to stop sinning.....or lets say you had not sinned in 3 or 4 days..... and in that case you are STILL A SINNER.
Why are you a sinner?
AAA.) Its because of Adam.....that sin entered into the human race and it became our nature.... we became a sin nature., or a nature that desires and performs sin NATURALLY......and....When we are saved = God gives us a NEW NATURE.......a "divine nature",.. Peter teaches in 2 Pet 1:4 (KJV).
So what happens when a sinner, who is "dead in tresspasses and sin"... (""dead"" means that you are separated from God's Spirit).
Now what happened to a "dead in tresspasses and sin" SINNER........ when God's Grace met your faith in Christ?
What happened? ???????????
AAAA.) 1.) You were forgiven all your sin forever..., 2.) You were given God's righteousness as a "gift"..., and 3.) You were joined to God spiritually in spiritual union, and 4.) that is to become a "new creation in Christ"..."born...again"...SPIRITUALLY.
See that? ?
So, a sinner, who is dead in tresspasses and sin...(Read Ephesians Chapter 2 : KJV )....comes into contact with God's Holy Spirit, by FAITH, hearing the Gospel and believing it.... and God takes if from there, Reader.
God took a sinner, spiritually dead, and recreated them Spiritually, and for all eternity, and each becomes "the body of Christ"... "The Church".
Now, what im showing you, is one of the ways you may understand how to "put on the Helmet of Salvation".
See, to put it on, is to understand it. That is how we put it on., and that is how we "work it out"...
So, when we understand what we were, when God SAVED US... ("Dead in Tresspasses and SIN").......and we see how Salvation is all of God, by GRACE, and its a GIFT that we can't earn and didnt deserve. ....So then we come into the knowledge that all of Salvation is none of us trying to do it or earn it or keep it.., because its all a Miraculous GIFT from God that is unearned, undeserved, and FREELY GIVEN.
And When you get this revelation knowledge of the GRACE OF GOD.. as your Real FAITH, then you'll stop trying to perform for God to try to be at peace with Him, and you will begin to understand more and more about the Amazing GRACE of God, that has recreated you as a SAINT, a "NEW CREATION">.., and continually keeps you, SAVED.
See that Knowledge?
That is the """Helmet of Salvation.""
Put it on, and keep it on, and God will give you more revelation and more understanding, and even more Grace as you grow in GRACE....
This understanding, is where the Hebrews 6:1 carnal Christian begins to mature for the first time towards "as many as be perfect".....Paul teaches.
