I don't mean this post to promote the KJO theory, but I don't think it a coincidence that I find it so much easier to commit to memory KJV verses as opposed to any other. Perhaps that's just me, or perhaps it's because the KJ is about the only one I read, but still, there's an innate beauty to the language and rhythm of the KJ I find I can relate to. I find I can read it aloud to others like in Bible study groups and make it sound just like a modem language at will. The old English proves to be no barrier to comprehension.

My reading this morning is from Hebrews 12:25-29
V26 whose voice then shook the earth: now he hath promised , saying ‘ yet once more I shame not the earth only, but also heaven ‘
My reference Bible took me to Haggai 2:6
The Lord will shake the heavens and the earth in a little while……..
So the shaking has happen once before.

later on In Hebrews it states ‘ removing of those things that are shaken , as of things made , that those things which cannot be shaken may remain

This relays that the shaking had perhaps and was constructive.
For some reason I considered the temple that ‘ was shaken ‘ and also considered ‘ The Church ‘ …

v28 ‘ Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, whereby we may serve God acceptably , with reverence and Godly fear.

I just wrote underneath , in my journal
The Temple was shaken ( we are the temple )
Could it be the physical church this time , in order to ‘ serve God acceptably ‘ ( to deal with what is unacceptable in our lives )

V29 For our God is a consuming fire ………refining.
If we humble ourselves, pray, seek and change …………..

I realise that the future shaking is possibly linked to Jesus return, but for some reason it spoke to me in the present as well, so I thought I would share it xx

I agree...the OT was almost like a rehearsal for what would take place in the NT....to present.

Blessings in Christ Jesus! The refining by fire is not the shaking. The refining by fire is needed so that one will be able to stand during the time of shaking. It is these that will endure to the end. It is these that are sealed until The Day of redemption. It is these, that are The Lord's special possession on The Day He acts. But I tell you truly, today, there are many who call themselves by His Name and yet their hearts are far from Him. And there are many that have not made Him Lord. It is these that will not be able to stand, for The Lord knows who are His. And there were two walking across a field, one was taken and one was left. On my journey, there were originally two, one was taken, and one is left. Let he who has an ear to hear, understand.

@Rita Hebrews makes such heartening reading; and if we are kept here, it's so we can follow the by faith: a key concept...even as the OT saints were sustained and preserved....

Just to add a bit of clarity to my post, I was sharing what was laid on my heart as I reflected on the passage, I wasn’t doing a theological study on it, there is a difference. The Holy Spirit can inspire as we read the word, and communicate different things through a passage, for different reasons.
I was merely sharing what it said to me this morning. Xx

@Rita Scripture is so rich and believers are often so busy, but the opportunity to meditate about the same text or passage from various angles is so rewarding...

I feel that Churches in our country are going to morph into doing church, in a way that is unfamiliar to us as a nation.

I am speaking part prophetic, and part visionary. I see small groups of around 10 people or less, gathered together in someone's home, watching their denomination's, live stream church service, due to Covid restrictions and other future restrictions.

In the future I see church buildings become less of a gathering place and small collective groups, grow with a leader for each. These are representing various churches. I believe home churches will come to the forefront in my country and the church will eventually have to go underground due to continuous legislation.....
I went to a Mega-Church for years, about 3000 members, offering about 4 services per week. The capacity seating was about 800, so it worked out. But with so many members, you could get lost in the shuffle.
I'd be sitting next to different people every week so even though we greeted each other casually, it would be superficial. Unless you talked to each other before or after the service, you may not get to know anyone. So we had about 100 mini-churches that would meet on Wednesday in small groups. There we could become more intimate, address individual needs and pray for them, real brothers and sisters. It was great. We had a voice too. Often you heard the Pastor preach and would like to comment on the issue or have a question, but would have to wait till the end of the service and get in line. Our Pastor was so patient, accommodating and a great teacher.
In our Min-church, we had more freedom. We would go over the Sermon message and discuss how it was applicable, what it meant to us and often receive more clarity or something we missed. Often we brought up the key points and opened them up as the Spirit led us. It was special, spiritually nourishing. Small groups are great, but you also need an an elder to guide it, unless all are fairly mature. But you would certainly miss the lead Pastor sermons, if there weren't any. And how would unbelievers hear the gospel unless someone gifted is preaching it? Well, you would have to make the best of it.

What I have realized early on about Covid, is that Satan is behind it. He wants to divide us and keep us separate, close churches, large venues where people unite together and instill fear. Being alone and afraid is where he wants us - so he can control us. This is how this One World Government is set up. They know that in numbers, we unite and will challenge their authority as we've witnessed a million people in Australia protesting these draconian and fascist rules imposed on them. I suppose New Zealand is getting that way, Austria and in other countries.
By April, 2020, churches and all large venues, parades, sports events were closed.
But Churches started to push back. In August 2020, a large mega-church led by John MacArthur opened and has been opened ever since. Other churches followed suit. We take precautions, exercise common sense and good hygiene and refuse to live in fear. Fear is the opposite of faith!
Democrat run states have suffered longer periods of lockdowns and more sluggish economic returns to normal. Well ... we won't really return to normal. Normal would be pre - 9/11 times. This time in history has been prophesied about. The NWO has been planned for decades, but written about long ago.
So, fear not, live your life, work and worship freely as long as you can, but don't lay down and roll over. We have more power than Satan behind us. He can do nothing to our spirit. He is given a short time to do his thing, then Christ will put an end to his reign of evil.

Isaiah 59 AMP

16 He saw that there was no man,
And was amazed that there was no one to intercede [on behalf of truth and right];
Therefore His own arm brought salvation to Him,
And His own righteousness sustained Him.

17 For He [the Lord] put on righteousness like a coat of armor,
And salvation like a helmet on His head;
He put on garments of vengeance for clothing
And covered Himself with zeal [and great love for His people] as a cloak.

18 As their deeds deserve, so He will repay:
Wrath to His adversaries, retribution to His enemies;
To the islands and coastlands He will repay.

19 So they will fear the name of the Lord from the west
And His glory from the rising of the sun.

For He will come in like a narrow, rushing stream
Which the breath of the Lord drives [
overwhelming the enemy].
