Regarding the confessing and repenting failed discipleship situation...

Its better to exist in this situation.....

"Christ always gives me the Victory"... Paul says. so, its better to live in that TRUTH.....then in some sort of confused daily repentance carnal spiritually darkened mindset.

Listen, if you are repenting, you are not living a very good discipleship, are you ??

Paul says...>"as many as be PERFECT"........
Paul says..>>"Christ always gives me the Victory"..

So, there you have the PERFECT and you have : "ALWAYS" have the "Victory being GIVEN".
See that?
Victory "being given"......that is not you trying harder, as the more you try the less you know.
Listen, Christianity is not you being good. Its God being good through you.

Paul said...."I can do all things THROUGH CHRIST"......not through Paul's effort.
See that?
Do you SEE THAT?
Can you SEE IT?
Get that revelation of "Christ in you, the Hope of Glory", and learn to rest in God's Grace, instead of striving to be ............

Listen....Victory is not related to.... if you confess your sins enough.
Its not related to.... if you do some more useless penance, tomorrow.

What is the Victory? Its continual (ALWAYS) Victory over the world, your flesh, and the devil.
Its GIVEN.......Christ GIVES IT.... as Paul teaches.
Its literally the Grace of God, reader.
Learn to understand what this is, and live there in your Theological FAITH, and you will alway have the Victory.
And not until.

The fruit of Salvation, in a believer's life is to always have THE VICTORY.
That's the real "fruit", and you are to bear much of it.
How?
Continually.

Christ has, by His provided Blood Bought Eternal Redemption = provided the means for you, to always live in the VICTORY (( if you are born again, and not just water baptized )).......but if you are actually born again, ... You have access to all that God has, all that God can offer, and all that God IS...How?
Because Jesus is God, and Christ is in you and you are "in Christ" if you are truly born again, and not just water baptized, thinking you are saved ..when in fact you are anything but....

So, if we are to exist in the VICTORY, then this eliminates any religious idea, false doctrine, or Satanic theology, that teaches otherwise, such as any that says you must "live in repentance".
Paul didnt.
You shouldn't. (If you are truly born again).

So what your saying is that salvation in Christ is not conditioned on repentance?

We all need to confess and repent===1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Refusing to repent to Christ 'when'... we slip up and sin, after having believed on Him, is part of the false 'once saved, always saved' movement of demons!

Apostle John in 1 John 1 specifically showed those in Christ to ask forgiveness of future sins. John said those who DENY they have sin make Jesus a liar!

The ONLY reason to say we have no further need to repent of sin after having believed and been baptized, is that if we NEVER sinned again in the future. And to be able to do that, we would have to become our OWN Christ! And that is impossible, and even is blasphemy!

What that OSAS movement is about is attracting MONEY.

What lost soul on hearing that just be believing on Jesus Christ, ALL THEIR FUTURE SINS are forgiven forever, wouldn't want to throw a bunch of money in the pot??

That would mean no need to ever even talk... about sin, because it's like GONE! to those.

What that movement is really about is about a hippie commune living in deception and darkness, while claiming to be living in the light.

No, OSAS is a doctrine of men. Lord Jesus, Apostles Paul and Peter especially, warned believers against 'falling away'. They would not do that if it were not possible for the Christian to fall away. End of debate.

The OP is about avoiding 'living in repentance' => not being truly saved. We are truly saved if we 'live in victory' and not continuous in daily or cyclical repentance as away to 'feel good' or to please God. Simply to understand right?

And then it all goes sideways and folks have now made this OP about OSAS or OSnotS.

If we find we are always repenting of sin daily, and have been saved for awhile, then we should question if we are truly saved. This is not the life of victory. Yes, we do confess and repent of our sins as necessary, although if it becomes a ritual or compulsive habit that we are compelled to do cyclically, or we must do it as a special ritual weekly or monthly we might not be saved at all. It should not overpower our daily walk in Christ. The Spirit within us will let us know and convict us of sin as necessary.

The FOCUS within our being and spirit is set on living in victory and not in continuous repentance to just please God....these can be works of a carnal heart, an unsaved heart and spirit.

so i gotta ask, do you repent daily? I feel like since we all sin daily, we should be repenting daily.

If you have to ask this question you might want to examine your spiritual condition. How do you know you have committed a sin LLS? and why daily?

I'll be back after a good night's sleep...

Far out, man! I suppose Jesus was the first hippie - who woulda thunk it? After all,He was the One that said that if you “ Believed in Him, you ALREADY HAD Eternal Life and that you could NEVER come under Condemnation “........What part of “ Never” do you fail to understand, dude ?

Who you are is irrelevant to what God's Word as written says. And God's Word says a believer can... fall away. The fact that a believer on Jesus Christ can do that means their continued salvation is still based on their faith.

“ If we are unfaithful, He yet remains Faithful—- He can not deny Himself”........Grace is more “ Amazing” than you ever dreamed. End of debate.

Even when 'we' are NOT faithful to Christ, He is faithful to us??? That idea is NOT written; you made that up.

Here is what is written that we must remain in to be good stewards for Christ...

1 Cor 4:1-2
4 Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.
2 Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.

KJV

Heb 3:12
12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
KJV

Rom 11:22
22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in His goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

KJV

Heb 6:4-6
4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put Him to an open shame.

KJV

2 Thess 2:3
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

KJV

Those who push the false OSAS doctrine of men will be held responsible for that great 'falling away' of many believers on Jesus per the above in 2 Thessalonians 2:3 for the end of this world during the coming great tribulation. That above falling away is not... about those who never believed; it is about believers who will worship the wrong Christ, that "man of sin" Lord Jesus showed many will claim is Christ, but He said to not believe it...

Matt 24:23-26
23 Then if any man shall say unto you, "Lo, here is Christ, or there"; believe it not.

24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
25 Behold, I have told you before.
26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, "Behold, He is in the desert"; go not forth: "behold, He is in the secret chambers"; believe it not.

KJV

The "false Christs" phrase in the Greek is the word pseudochristos, from two Greek words, pseudo which means false, and Christos which means Christ, singular. Dr. James Strong in his Strong's Exhaustive Concordance translated that "false Christs" to 'a spurious Messiah'. That means he also recognized that is about a specific false one coming to play Christ in Jerusalem for the end of this world. That is who you are preparing brethren to wrongly worship instead of teaching brethren that man of sin comes first and will be a fake Jesus. Even Apostle Paul warned about the "another Jesus" in 2 Corinthians 11, but you OSAS fakes don't have a clue.

Your attitude fits exactly what I showed the false OSAS movement is about, a hippie dope smoking, uncleanliness, eastern religious, revolutionary movement against God's people.

BALDERDASH!!!! Your faith is a gift from God. You CANNOT lose genuine faith. If you ever lose faith, you never had it to begin with. OSAS!!

BALDERDASH!!!! Your faith is a gift from God. You CANNOT lose genuine faith. If you ever lose faith, you never had it to begin with. OSAS!!
More people reject the free gift of faith than receive it.
The nature of faith being a free gift is that God freely testifies to all men about the gospel of his Son...

"He now commands all people everywhere to repent. 31For He has set a day when He will judge the world with justice by the Man He has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising Him from the dead.”" Acts 17:30-31
The word 'proof' is 'pistis', or 'faith'. God gives faith to all men through the hearing of the word, but most reject it, calling God a liar, while only a few hear it, accept it, and retain it and are saved.

"24As for you, let what you have heard from the beginning remain in you. If it does, you will also remain in the Son and in the Father." 1 John 2:24

So you're telling me once someone believes on Jesus Christ, they can NEVER stop believing?? That of course is what is 'balderdash'! and The New Testament Scriptures back me up on that!

For many are called, but few are chosen, is what Lord Jesus said.
