A Son of God, can be a "DEMAS", or a "PAUL".
But a Son of God is always a Son of God.
Once you are born again, you are always born again.
You CAN stop being a Good Disciple, and most have had these days or even these years, but you can't stop being born again.
Being BORN AGAIN, which is to become a Son of God, happens the instant God gives you the new Birth.
That is before you have even been a Christian for 5 mins., and you are already "Seated in Heavenly Places"....."As Christ IS...so are the born again in THIS world".
So, if a born again, isn't perfect, 3 yrs after they are born again, then that is just how it goes., as they can never stop being born again by their BEHAVIOR or "faith crisis", as God didnt save YOU because you promised to always be good.
He SAVED YOU< because you gave Him your FAITH, ONCE, and He gave you the new Birth., that is ETERNAL, as Jesus is the ETERNAL LIFE that is IN YOU< and you are born again "in Christ".
Its done., and how you behave later does not effect this SONSHIP Status.
Born again....do you have popup timer for that?....when you are and when you are not? Something to indicate that Act 2:38 did not take?
Do you know if your born again? Do others know if you are born again. Is it detectable?
What do you do if you think you are not born again?
Is there a gauge so that you know it is time to be re-baptized?
Is there a scripture that specifically says that those that are born again are not judged on Judgment Day and go directly to heaven?
I like this one, 1st Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth fore ever. --- Does this mean they are incapable of sin, or they can sin all they want and it is not counted, or that they are so in tune with God that they are godlike?
The term born again appears three times in the scriptures. People disagree on everything concerning born again and or baptism of any form. Some people disagree on water baptism...or that water baptism is not required. Some think it is an undefined spiritual event or just a mere thought. Same thing goes for "born again" some believe it is an undefined and undetectable event. The Bible does not give a lot of information on it.
I believe that Baptism is a spiritual rebirth, a new person comes out of that water with their past washed away along with their sins. Their slate clean so to speak. From there the sins they commit are between them and Christ. But I do believe that a person that is born again can sin enough to go to hell.
The Bible does not track "born agains" as different than those that are saved. So there is not enough information to differentiate between the two, are they one? The fact that it is discussed in the Bible makes it real. The fact that there is so little information in the Bible about causes people to speculate and it can get wild. They can say or believe anything they want....and they do. Because there is so little information about it in the Bible....you really cannot come up with definitive doctrine or belief on it and there will be no agreement on exactly what it is are what it means.
I believe that born again and saved are the same. How much faith in Christ do you need to be saved. Just an honest belief...no gauge.
And some Christians do not like when the scriptures have the "all" word in them....because they would put a but there or an except there. And they do not like scriptures with absolute statements....they struggle against these absolute scriptures looking for contradictive scriptures, never admitting there is a contradiction.
There are a lot of scriptures that say you can sin your way to hell. There are a lot scriptures that warn about sins that will send you to hell.....What we have is the absolute truth....The Bible does not say that there will be evildoers in heaven or that the battle between good and evil will continue in heaven....but it does explain that hell is the destination of evildoers. Hell is the destination for those that do not believe in Christ or lived a life of sin....born again or not.
I do not believe in the "born agains" that cannot sin and I believe that there will be people that were born again that sinned enough to be judged to hell.
Again...
2nd Corinthians :5:10: For
we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
1st Corinthians 6:9-10 “Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will not inherit the kingdom of God.”
Galatians 5:21 “Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.”
Revelation 21:8
But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
