If you really want to know . . .

My “ Theory” can be Summed up by the Lyrics that can be found in Three Songs that you and other hypocrites have sung countless times but never came “ CLOSE” to actually Believing ......The First, as far as Salvation is concerned would be “ NOTHING BUT THE BLOOD”..... The Second song , which you don’t Believe declares “ Nothing of myself I bring— it’s only to the Cross that I Cling”......The Third Song That your Grace -Rejecting Confusion blinds you To , would be “ Just as I Am, without one plea—-except that Thy Blood was Shed for Me”.....

In a Nutshell? JESUS SAVES.Period.

I don't agree with making these negative accusatory "you" statements". And the general tone to me comes across the same way.

Much love!

The closest i can come to being God, is to have God in me.
"Christ in you, the hope of Glory"
"Temple of the Holy Spirit".
"one with God".
"in Christ".

Also. I can't get with your carnal "Program".
Legalism is not my theology, GodsGrace.

Listen,

The Cross of Christ is all God offers to accept you. John 14:6
Thats not a "box", that is God's : Salvation
Behold,
You're trying to be God every time you pronounce that someone is going to hell
because they don't agree with your theory of Christianity.

It's not up to YOU to decide the condition of a person's soul.
Speak of trying to tear down other Christians! What could accomplish this more than you do??

God loves everyone that trusts on Him for salvation
and obeys His commandments, which are forever.

John 5:10
If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love.

Romans 13:8-10
Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

What do you think LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR MEANS?

You love songs...
They sound like the songs sung by the A of God.
However, that denomination would not agree with your theology.
I can't really think of one that does,,,except for some independent ones.

Independent means the pastor has his own ideas.

I can’t sing a lick....and the only reason these songs appeal to me is because of the Biblical Truths contained within them.....the lack Of Zeal for the lines that I pulled out of these Hymns says a lot....If the songs that people sing in their churches are not Heart- felt—- God would probably prefer that you tear the songs out of the Hymnal Book and pitch them somewhere....

Other than a Catholic Church, an A of G is the “ LAST” place you would ever find me...

Sounds great, doesn’t it? Most “ False and Perverted “ so- called Gospels do....they “ tickle the ears” of those that want to preach that “ keeping the Law” ( or, as you say, “ obeys the Commandments” ) is God’s Plan Of Salvation......
The only “Obedience” That should concern a person this side of the Cross is what the Bible calls , “The *OBEDIENCE* to the Gospel” ( 1Cir15:1-4) If one is not RESTING in that Gospel , God says in Hebrews that you are being “ Disobedient” and guilty of “UNBELIEF!”......

The Commandments were given so you will “ close your mouth” ( in other words— SHUT UP! ) and admit that you can’t keep them and you need a Savior.....This is the “Job” Of The Law.....has it done it’s Job in your life? We will know when people “ Shut Up” about the pretense of Keeping it and start praising the Grace of God instead....

“ Law + Grace = Law”......

Why are some of you people wanting to see more sin? The Bible says that one of the reasons that God gave the Law was so that “ Sin would INCREASE!” ......you don’t hear “ THAT” preached about every day, do ya? Nevertheless—- it is True.

Well, that's it then...

Let's just amend all the tracts...

Jesus might save

Jesus could be the answer

and change a few lyrics...

Amazing Grace how sweet the sound
that might have saved a wretch like me...
I once was lost but now I'm found,
was blind and now I see - for the moment.

So this is the new 'Gospel' - Salvation but no promises.

(Sounds like Russian Roulette...)

Is that what Jesus wanted ???

Or did He want folks confident in their salvation, celebrating His goodness, seated with Him in heavenly places, forever thankful for an undeserved eternal future with Him.

So happy I just happened to see this.

Could you please explain how God giving the law made sin increase.

And where is it written that the commandments were given to shut us up?

"Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin." (Romans 3.20)

That is not what not believing in OSAS means.

He's thinking of this verse...

"Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God." Romans 3:19

With a little of this one sprinkled in...

"But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed." Galatians 3:23
BB, gets a little over dramatic sometimes, lol.

Paul talks about that here:

"8But sin, seizing its opportunity through the commandment, produced in me every kind of covetous desire." Romans 7:8

"11For sin, seizing its opportunity through the commandment, deceived me and through the commandment put me to death." Romans 7:11

"...the power of sin is the law." 1 Corinthians 15:56
Thankfully, those in Christ are no longer under the power of the law to do this to them. We have been set free from the law in that regard.

Is that so? It seems differently to me.

If it's not a done deal, and you may yet affect it, then, "Just as I am, and hopefully will be . . ."

Much love!
It's a done deal in non-OSAS.
It remains a done deal as long as you remain in the Son the Father and the promise of eternal life. You do that by letting the word of the gospel remain in you in believing.

Are you listening to yourself?

"It remains a done deal as long as you . . ."

Isn't that what George Orwell called Doublethink? Either salvation is secure or it's not. If salvation were a padlock, who holds the key? God didn't make a key, that lock is locked. But if in your mind you hold the key, that is, you are the one who can unlock that lock, and it remains a possibility that you could, that you might, that some have, how do you consider that a "done deal"?

Much love!

It doesn't make sense to you because you define 'done' as 'it will always apply to me', when that's not what the 'forever' in the ministry and sacrifice of Christ means. That's like saying the paint job that was done on your car that won't ever chip, fade, or peel means you will always own that car no matter what and that it can never be given away.

Either salvation is secure or it's not.
Salvation is secure. The security lies in the fact that it will never end and never fail, not that you will always have it no matter what (in this age). The Bible exhorts us to keep believing in that which is eternally secure.

Yes, that's right, "done concerning you." Either it is, or it isn't. Either you are eternally saved, or maybe you are eternally saved. Depending on you, according to you.

You, being reasonably well spoken, I can't imagine you don't understand this concept. I can only think you choose to speak past it.

Much love!

Easy. That which lays hold of salvation is what is done (Christ's Priesthood and Sacrifice), not whether or not you're going to continue to hold fast in faith to the completed work of Jesus' Priesthood and Sacrifice.

I'm not being critical, but the analogy you use is somewhat flawed, as it would be better to show how faith is the key that unlocks salvation, and as long as you have the key nobody can lock you out from the salvation that never fails or ends. But if you lock the lock and toss the key away in a decision to not want that salvation anymore (a.k.a. unbelief) you don't have access to the salvation that never ends anymore.

I am eternally saved, because I am presently believing in the gospel of the salvation that will never end. That is a paradigm of thought that is completely alien to the OSAS mindset, but which comes right out of Hebrews. That's where I saw it one day reading the scriptures. It jumped out at me that what is eternal about salvation is the efficacy of Christ's ministry, not your possession of it in this age. That is conditioned on you continuing to trust and believe in it.
