It's bit odd the population of Israel is only 2% Christian, half a point above Iran 1.5%

Good question
Who is Israel
the Israel of God. The antithesis of Israel after the flesh
Paul spoke of the Christians from both Jewish and Gentile backgrounds as "the Israel of God".

He also said...of the Jews in Romans 2:23-29...as you have mentioned...
"23 You who make your boast in the law, do you dishonor God through breaking the law? 24 For “the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you,” as it is written.
25 For circumcision is indeed profitable if you keep the law; but if you are a breaker of the law, your circumcision has become uncircumcision. 26 Therefore, if an uncircumcised man keeps the righteous requirements of the law, will not his uncircumcision be counted as circumcision? 27 And will not the physically uncircumcised, if he fulfills the law, judge you who, even with your written code and circumcision, are a transgressor of the law? 28 For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; 29 but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God." (NKJV)

Once God had fulfilled his part of the covenant made with a people who could never keep their part....when God had produced their Messiah and they murdered him, he was done with them.
God had prophesied that only a remnant of natural Israel would be saved and that turned out to be true....that remnant became disciples of Jesus Christ.
God chose a new "nation" to replace natural Israel, creating "the Israel of God"...spiritual Israel.

Acts 15:14...
"Simon has declared how God at the first visited the Gentiles to take out of them a people for His name."
He already had a people for his name but they continually broke his Commandments, so he chose a new "people" who would be worthy to bear his name. And there is nothing to prevent any Jewish person from accepting Jesus as their Messiah......many have, but they are not in the majority.

Do me a favor, go through the scriptures, in context, and let's discuss
LOL....you seriously expect me to look up all those verses?
omg
A few scriptures I don't mind, but that just looks like copy and paste to me.
The least you could do is write them out fully so that I only had to hover my cursor over the scripture to bring it up.....
...the site has this facility in case you hadn't noticed?
headslap

Instead of writing "Gal_3:7-9" write Galatians 3:7-9 and you will see it is highlighted.
You do me a favor and rewrite these scriptures in full and I will evaluate them according to my own studies.

Really, you lump me in this class?
Did I say that you do this? It was a general comment that applies to many, not to you specifically....unless the cap fits?

Who are the real sheep and who are the goats?
Mat 25:32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats.
I love this passage of scripture because there are a few things hidden in plain sight in these verses....

31 “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. 32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. 33 And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’
37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’"

And then conversely he says the opposite to the ones on his left...the "goats"......

"45 Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ 46 And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

So the "sheep" are those who did good deeds for Christ's brethren (brothers)....but it appears that they did so unawares. Like the "Good Samaritan" these ones are righteous people of the nations who cared for Christ's brothers when they were in need, not asking if they are worth their time and effort, but just seeing a need and filling it.

If the "sheep" are doing good deeds to Christ's 'brothers'.....who are the sheep? And who are Christ's brothers if not his elect? These appear to be two separate groups. Christ's 'brothers' are not said to be doing good deeds for each other.

And if the "goats" failed to do good deeds to Christ's brothers....who are the goats? Who are the ones who failed to assist Christ's brothers when they were in need?

Mark 9:40-42 also brings out some interesting thoughts....Jesus said....
"For he who is not against us is on our side. 41 For whoever gives you a cup of water to drink in My name, because you belong to Christ, assuredly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward.
42 “But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea."

What did Jesus mean here? Who are those who give a cup of water to those who "belong to Christ", because they recognize who they are?
Who are those who stumble the little ones (babes in Christ) who will receive Jesus' condemnation?

Its an interesting read....

I will respond to your other posts tomorrow.....my turn to hit the hay....

Revelation 20 And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever

man, reading Bibles in English is just not so good an idea i guess
do yourself a favor imo, and go find out what this v is really saying before you die
Who was that in response to?

It's not a very helpful comment! If you think that you know what that verse means then why don't you share that knowledge with us? Saying that 'I know what you don't know, but I'm not going to help you find out what that is', is not a loving Christian attitude. So what do you think that verse means?

The devil is symbolically thrown into the lake of fire and sulphur (symbolic of utter destruction of all living things). He does not live forever in torment because he is destroyed:

Ezekiel 28:13-19 (WEB):
(13) You were in Eden, the garden of God. Every precious stone adorned you: ruby, topaz, emerald, chrysolite, onyx, jasper, sapphire, turquoise, and beryl. Gold work of tambourines and of pipes was in you. They were prepared in the day that you were created.
(14) You were the anointed cherub who covers. Then I set you up on the holy mountain of God. You have walked up and down in the middle of the stones of fire.
(15) You were perfect in your ways from the day that you were created, until unrighteousness was found in you.
(16) By the abundance of your commerce, your insides were filled with violence, and you have sinned. Therefore I have cast you as profane out of God’s mountain. I have destroyed you, covering cherub, from the middle of the stones of fire.
(17) Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty. You have corrupted your wisdom by reason of your splendor. I have cast you to the ground. I have laid you before kings, that they may see you.
(18) By the multitude of your iniquities, in the unrighteousness of your commerce, you have profaned your sanctuaries. Therefore I have brought out a fire from the middle of you. It has devoured you. I have turned you to ashes on the earth in the sight of all those who see you.
(19) All those who know you among the peoples will be astonished at you. You have become a terror, and you will exist no more.”’”

So what do you think that verse means?
well, i dont think the original said “forever and ever” as they had a term for that, that is not used here, looks more like from eternity to eternity to me, which i guess to most believers that means the same thing anyway, even if it doesnt
He does not live forever in torment because he is destroyed
well, not seeing that either wadr as from eternity to eternity suggests duration?

and my apologies, wasnt meaning to be coy or anything lol, its just that…we are talking about a spirit here, right, but we apply this verse as if it were a person? When the context is “the revelation of Christ,” at least imo

So, my interp would really be a different translation, using different definitions—the ones given in a lexicon—than those chosen by a religious scribe believer in order to make it say what he wants, basically; not saying that they arent “tortured,” but noting that the same word is used for “straining” at oars, for instance
The devil is symbolically thrown into the lake of fire and sulphur (symbolic of utter destruction of all living things)
but the devil is not alive though eh. Hence why one should have their own interpretation here imo, as mine would not serve them much until this belief is superseded

If there are parts that you wish to respond to without having to quote the whole post, just highlight the part you want to answer and you will see a little box pop up with "quote" on it, click on that and keep highlighting the portions you want to answer and then go down to the main quote box and there will be "insert quotes" click on that and they will all come up with "quote these messages". Click on that and you can answer them individually with these "multi-quotes".

Hope that helps.

Are you another self professed Greek expert JW?
So people who believe our English translations are going to Hell? Or where? Even the NWT agrees "they will be tormented day and night FOREVER and EVER".
