Because Jesus has become "sin" for the believer, and died, so did their sin, and their "old man of sin".

Believers who are confessing sin, and so called "bible translators" who dont understand, teach to "sin and confess".

If you read 1 John 3:9, you'll note that it says that there is no sin found with the born again.
I understand who we (believers) are positionally in Christ. (1 Corinthians 6:11) There is a difference between saying there is no sin found with those who are born again "as far as the east is from the west" etc.. and saying that we "in of ourselves" are sinless, without fault or defect, flawless, 100% of the time.

I John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1 John 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

Who would say/claim such a thing? Believers or unbelievers?

I John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin,

Well first of all, John the Apostle does not have any sin.
Jesus has his sin.
This is why Paul wrote nearly all the epistles in the New Testament and never once said he "confessed a sin".

2 Corinthians 5:19 says that God was in Christ not charging sin to anyone........but that offer has a condition.
You have to believe in Jesus to receive this eternal redemption from sin.

Now, follow up with Romans 4:8

Paul teaching....and the verse says that God does not impute (charge) sin to you. .... but again, that is only if you are born again.
And if so, why does God not charge sin to the believer?

Its because God has Judged His Son already as the "one time ETERNAL Sacrifice for sin".

This means that God can't charge you for what Jesus has been judged for already "eternally".

There is no sin found "in Christ" and all the born again are "in Christ".... made righteous.

The born again are not sinners, sinning, needing to confess.
The born again are SAINTs, Made righteous, who exist as "ONE with God".

I never said that believers confess an inventory of sins over and over again in order to remain cleansed and saved.

I John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

I ask you again. Who would say/claim such a thing? Believers or unbelievers?

IF the born sgain don't have any sin, because """"""Jesus became their sin as Jesus is the one time eternal sacrifice for sin"""....then who is left to confess?

Does this mean that believers never sin again at all? (1 John 2:1)

I John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. - Is the truth not found in believers?
1 John 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us. - Is His word not in believers?

These verses are in contrast with 1 John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

If our "old man is crucified with Christ", and we are "Made free from Sin"..... then the Believer is not the body or the mind, but the actual born again new creation in Christ...is the "Son/Daughter" of God, who is "in Christ".

Then that is pretty obvious.

Look at this verse.

"As Jesus IS......so are the born again ....In THIS World".

The born again are "made righteous". and this why Romans 4:8 says you dont have any sin.....which is why God does not charge sin to the believers.

To understand all this, you have to stop trying to see yourself as you see yourself, or as mr Strong would have you see yourself...... and instead see yourself only and always as GOD sees ALL the born again.

"made righteous"
"in Christ"
"one with God"
"seated in heavenly places".

See that UNDERSTANDING?
That is the "renewed mind"., vs the "mind of the flesh".

I understand how God see's His children, those who are born again, yet our sinful flesh has still not been eradicated and we have not yet received our glorified bodies. I'll have to get back with you later. My wife is calling me to leave for church.

"sinful flesh" ...is "the old man is crucified with Christ".

The reason a believer deals with their flesh, is because they wont do what Paul told them to do.

= "reckon the old man dead"..... and yourself "alive to Christ" only.

Deliverance from "flesh", is not to try to be good., as that makes it worse.
When you try to live the Christian life by willpower, you end up here...>"that which i hate i do, and that which i would do, i can't"..

What you do to solve that bondage.... is change your understanding (renew your mind) regarding who you have become "in Christ", and then God's Grace will empower you like this...

"I can do all things through Christ"

"Christ always gives me the Victory".

Satan is a liar and the father of liars and those that say they have no sin are liars!!
1 John 1:8, “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.”

This is indeed the condition of all before salvation. Notice this statement is just 8 verses in to John's letter...for it is the starting point of all mankind. But it is not the end of the gospel message--Christ is the End.

Our state of being in sin before salvation does not make void the many verses that show sin being cleansed from those who have past from death to life by the gift of salvation from Christ who died for this very purpose.

If i point out what you have to stop doing, that is not an attack.

So, you can move along now.

But I RESPONDED TO YOUR OWN POST. How is that NOT quoting you?

It seems to me you just don't know how I arrived at what I know in the Bible and don't know how to discuss it. That has nothing to do with your falsehood that I'm not quoting you when I was.

Go back to #5 and discuss what I saw without your false side-stepping.

1 John 1:9

That one is for people who have sin.....
Hence the seven letters to the ekklesias . . .

Example:
Rev 2:4-5 Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. (5) Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent.

Why do you, confess sin....
The seven churches mentioned in the book of Revelation were located in Asia Minor and each faced their own set of problems. For example, the church in Pergamum was known as the worldly church because they allowed sin like idols, immorality, cults and heresies to remain among them even though they refused to deny Christ ¹. The church in Thyatira had love, faith and good works but they were criticized for their wrong doctrine ¹. Each of the seven churches had their own struggles and strengths.

Yes, we can repent of immature fruit of the Spirit - sins not unto death. Love is a fruit.

But we cannot repent of apostasy - willful sins unto death. Hebrews 10:26-31 and Hebrews 6:4-6 Thus OSAS is a false doctrine, but only re: major willful lawlessness and blaspheming the Holy Spirit.

I'm not arguing against renewing our mind or who we are in Christ or finding our victory in Christ. I'm just saying, believers have not yet received their glorified bodies.

Our "body" is """"dead because of sin"""", and our spirit has been born again by the Holy Spirit INTO God, who is "A Spirit"
This is were the born again exist as a "Son/Daughter" of God. "In Christ"

Later, we get a body that is designed for our born again spirit.

Paul in the NT teaches us to "renew" our mind so that we come into the same mind of the Knowledge of God.
This is how a believer "work our your Salvation"., its by understanding how to exist in Salvation, as a "new creation in Christ". according to God's perspective that we are always "made righteous".

You probably need to repent, as i find that people who are always talking about repenting, also need to repent.
I dont need to repent.
But you go right ahead, Stumpmaster.

Well, i dont obsess on any of that..
Its fine to study the Revelation, but not exclusively, as it then become a rabbit hole.

Study Paul's epistles instead, much more.

It like this.
If i quoted you, and then i didnt respond to the post, but i instead just said...."you've a Gnostic"......
So, i quoted you, but then i accused you not related to the post.. So, in that case i have to quote where you posted info that i felt gave me the opportunity to accuse you.

That's what you have to do., but you often dont., so, in that case, its a lie.

But we cannot repent of apostasy - willful sins unto death.

If you are born again, you wont be going to hell.

So, if a born again believer, later has an issue with their faith, then that is a born again person with a thinking problem.....and nothing more.

Salvation can't be lost, as its not earn or kept.... Its provided by the One who gave the new birth.

Being born again, never ends, as once you are joined to God, as "one with God', the blood of Jesus always maintains this eternal relationship, as its what caused it to begin.

You can't stop being Born Again.

Philippians 1:6 say that God is faithful to keep our salvation to completion.
