Where does it mention "immortal souls" anywhere in the Bible? This is an assumption, not a Bible teaching. There is no such thing as an "immortal soul" because all "souls" in the Bible are living, breathing creatures, both man and animals. We all breathe the same air and die the same death as
You are obviously confused. And no, the animals do NOT go to Paradise when they die like men born in the flesh do when they die.

The idea of the soul putting on immortality is written in 1 Corinthians 15:53-54. You should trying studying it sometime instead of heeding the Jew's religion.

In what way does Rev 5:9-10 refute what I said? Please elaborate....
You said: The elect Saints are destined for a role in heaven.....
I said: Revelation 5:9-10 refutes you. It says that the Christian peoples of God, will be the royal house of priests for God on earth.

The 'Elect' are every faithful Christian person, whose names are in the Book of Life.
I do agree with most of the rest of your post

Revelation Timeline of Events

Jesus returns to Earth for the second time, aka the “second coming”.
Revelation 19

The righteous are resurrected (meaning their souls leave Heaven and enter their new, Earthly, bodies) and those still living will be transformed and receive new, perfected, bodies. They will rule Earth with Jesus for 1,000 years.
Revelation 20:4 … and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
1 Corinthians 15 22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. 23 But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ.

At the end of the 1,000 years the unrighteous were resurrected and are judged at the Great White Throne Judgment. Some may (or will) be condemned to the “Lake of Fire” (LOF). Death itself is then abolished in the LOF.
Revelation 20

The present Earth and heavens are eliminated and replaces with a new Earth and new heavens. Jesus says “Behold, I am making all things new”. Once again it says that the unrighteous will be thrown into the LOF. New Jerusalem appears.
Revelation 21

The “River of Life” is described and then John reiterates that Jesus will be coming to save the world which he previously described in Revelation 20.
Revelation 22

Jesus puts all enemies under his feet, meaning, they are now loyal to and serve him. Having accomplished his mission of saving ALL mankind, Jesus stops ruling the kingdom and gives it to God the Father, who then becomes ALL in ALL!
1 Corinthians 15:22-
22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. 23 But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ. 24 Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power. 25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death. 27 For “God[c] has put all things in subjection under his feet.” But when it says, “all things are put in subjection,” it is plain that he is excepted who put all things in subjection under him. 28 When all things are subjected to him, then the Son himself will also be subjected to him who put all things in subjection under him, that God may be all in all.

Philippians 2:10-11 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Romans 10:9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
It is basically an accurate timeline. but you miss some important resurrections and judgments that make yours wrong in a couple of areas.

No, you don't have it right. Where does Paul insert 1,000 years before Christ's second coming and the end the way you do? How does what you're saying line up with what Peter taught here:

2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare. 11 Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives 12 as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. 13 But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.

This indicates that the earth will be burned up when Jesus returns, so how can any mortals populate the earth after that?

You are obviously confused. And no, the animals do NOT go to Paradise when they die like men born in the flesh do when they die.
All living creatures are called “souls” in the Bible. All souls breathe, but when breathing stops, the soul dies (Ezekiel 18:4).....only man was made in God’s image and designed for unending life. We have no “program” for death....it is still as foreign and dreaded by us as it always was. The majority of animals do not respond to death like we do.....they accept it as part of life...we don’t. We know it’s inevitable but something inside us is desperate to continue living. The human soul (person) is restored to life by resurrection.....it isn’t something invisible that departs from the body at death.
The idea of the soul putting on immortality is written in 1 Corinthians 15:53-54. You should trying studying it sometime instead of heeding the Jew's religion.
I believe that you are confusing what Jesus said about “immortality” for his elect, because only the they are granted an immortal life when they are “born again” as spirit beings in the “first resurrection”. (Rev 20:6)
These must die and then be given a “new birth” in a resurrected spiritual body so as to join Christ in his heavenly kingdom. His reign, along with their support, will see the physical, mental and spiritual condition of man come back to what Adam first enjoyed before sin overtook them in Eden.

God’s first purpose will then be realised and the earth will then become what God wanted it to be all along (Rev 21:2-4).....filled with righteous humans who can be obedient to their Creator in all things, trusting him to tell them what is good and what is evil. Everlasting life is not the same as immortality. An immortal cannot die, yet God told the humans that disobedience would lead to death. The tree of life would have guaranteed that they could live forever....but it was conditional, based on their obedience. (Gen 3:22-24)
We have proven that we do not know the difference, because the devil has altered our perceptions of these things. He has convinced people that they “surely will not die”.

I have studied the Bible extensively for over 50 years and I can see clearly where Jesus’ words regarding the devil and his agenda have played out, both in the Jewish religion and in Christendom, which are mirror images of one another, altered by the same evil entity who tried to tempt even God’s own Son to worship him. He has billions of people doing just that, yet they are unaware...not because they can’t know the truth but because they don’t want to believe it. (2 Thess 2:9-12) Their hearts are set....and the truth is rejected.

Your claim is "False" The Lord will "Dissolve" this earth by fire at his return, down to its very elements

2 Peter 3:10-12KJV
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

Well, it seems that you have overlooked the prophecy in Daniel 2 where Daniel tells us that during the time of those kings that God will establish his everlasting kingdom on the earth.

Daniel 2:34 -35, 44-45: - 34 You watched while a stone was cut out without hands, which struck the image on its feet of iron and clay and broke them in pieces. 35 Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold were crushed together, and became like chaff from the summer threshing floors; the wind carried them away so that no trace of them was found. And the stone that struck the image became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.
. . . . 44 And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever. 45 Inasmuch as you saw that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold — the great God has made known to the king what will come to pass after this. The dream is certain, and its interpretation is sure.”
This prophecy has not yet been fulfilled. God will establish this kingdom in our near future, possibly, within the next 20-25 years,

But you claim that this prophecy of God's is false.

You have illustrated, beautifully, the point that I was making. It seems to me that you and Keraz are strange bedfellows in your respective prophetic understandings.

There is a lot of truth here (even from Keraz, and perhaps especially from Aunty Jane)...except that much of it is limited to the things of this world.

To the contrary, what occurs here in the world is only a small enactment of what is occurring in the heavenly realm. It is these smaller enactments that we are to "endure" because we do so in our weakness while remaining in the world. But those things do not tell all.

What is missing is only eluded to, but should also be apparent to those who have hears to hear. The enactments have one narrative in scripture, and yet there is another narrative in scripture also regarding such statements like, "Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame" and "The kingdom of God does not come with observation." All of which flies in the face of most of Christendom's well intended interpretations.

So...what is seen are only signs, and what is ultimately true on high remains unseen until its fulfillment, which is the end to all people, "but each one in his own order." Even the crazy things we are now seeing and those still to come which will make these current events seem extremely small.

You said: The elect Saints are destined for a role in heaven.....
I said: Revelation 5:9-10 refutes you. It says that the Christian peoples of God, will be the royal house of priests for God on earth.
I guess it depends on which translation you use.....
Quite a few render verse 10 as "reign over the earth", rather than "on" it.
Why go to heaven if you are going to rule on earth? It makes no sense. But they can rule the earth from heaven, which is what Jehovah was going to do at the beginning, until the rebels severed their relationship with him. This necessitated the appointment of a Mediator. (1 Tim 2:5-6)...."a man" who would intercede for mankind before their God.....Jesus Christ was a sinless man who was sent on a mission and fulfilled it with great courage.

Jesus plainly told his apostles that he was 'going to prepare a place in his Father's house' for the ones who would rule with him in his Kingdom.
"In the house of my Father are many dwelling places. Otherwise, I would have told you, for I am going my way to prepare a place for you. 3 Also, if I go my way and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will receive you home to myself, so that where I am you also may be. 4 And where I am going, you know the way.”

Jesus was speaking about heaven.

Israel were promised the role of 'kings and priests', (Exodus 19:5-6) but their unfaithfulness ended their covenant with God when they murdered the Messiah he sent to save them. God then 'abandoned' fleshly Israel and chose a new people to serve his interests on earth. (Matt 21:43; Acts 15:14; Acts 10:34-35; 1 Pet 2:9-10) Out of them came a new "Israel"....not according to the flesh, but according to God's choosing. (Rom 2:28-29)

Rev 21:1-4 says...
"Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.

This is what Peter referred to at 2 Peter 3:13.....but its not literal. The heavens represent the rulership over mankind that has to be taken down, "crushed" out of existence, and replaced by God's rulership . (Foretold by Daniel to take place in this "time of the end". (Dan 2:44)
There are no flaws in the literal heavens and earth

2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
This is Christ and his bride (the elect) bringing their rulership to the earth, which will be the first rulership we humans have had that is administered in love and with justice for all.

3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.
So "the dwelling place of God is with man"....here on earth....with a new earthly society.....all of whom will have proven their faithfulness to God. All will be counted as "God's people".....and rewarded for their endurance as these last days run their course.

4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
What a beautiful picture this creates in our minds....no more death, mourning, crying or pain because all the things that cause that suffering will be gone forever.
The 'Elect' are every faithful Christian person, whose names are in the Book of Life.
I do agree with most of the rest of your post
The elect are indeed taken from all nations, but not all faithful Christians have "the heavenly calling." (Heb 3:1)
Since they are "chosen" for rulership and priestly roles, and will rule over the earth, their subjects must be humans.

All living creatures are called “souls” in the Bible. All souls breathe, but when breathing stops, the soul dies (Ezekiel 18:4).....only man was made in God’s image and designed for unending life.

I'd advise you leave that doctrine from Judaism about the 'soul' and follow what Lord Jesus and His Apostles taught, because man's 'soul' DOES NOT DIE at flesh death of the material body.

Matt 10:28
28 And fear not them which kill the body,
but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear Him Which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
KJV

Our 'soul' is not... part of our flesh. It does not die when our flesh dies. But that is what orthodox Judaism wrongly believes. They believe that the soul is basically buried with the flesh body, and both are revived at the resurrection. That is not what the New Testament reveals. Nor actually is it what the Old Testament reveals (see 1 Kings 17).

The above phrase, "destroy both soul and body in hell", is about the future "lake of fire" event written to occur after God's future Great White Throne Judgment per Rev.20. The KJV word "hell" there in the Greek is 'geena' which is put for the "lake of fire", not Haides. Jesus is pointing to the destruction of one's spirit with soul in the "lake of fire", what is called the "second death" in Rev.20. That "second death" does not destroy flesh, because by that time no one will be in a flesh body anymore, but in the "spiritual body".

Even in Ecclesiastes 12:5-7, some confuse that "spirit" for simply animate life force that is in all things. No, that "spirit" there that goes back to God is about man's spirit body with soul. Both of those two things dwell in our flesh body while alive on earth, and are attached by that "silver cord" mentioned there. If that "silver cord" were severed, like it says, only then is our flesh body separated from our spirit body with soul.

There is no conscious part of man that leaves the body at death.....that is a satanic lie. It was satan who said they "surely will not die", but Jehovah told Adam the opposite....

"By the sweat of your face You shall eat bread, Until you return to the ground, Because from it you were taken; For you are dust, And to dust you shall return.”...there was no mention of an afterlife for Adam and his wife.....just life or death.

Ezekiel 18:4 says...
"Behold, all souls are Mine. Like the soul of the father, like the soul of the son they are Mine; the soul that sins, it shall die." (Jewish Tanakh)
The Jews had no belief in an immortal part of man that lived on after death.....they knew what a "soul" was. The soul is the person, not something that lives inside them. Jesus was Jewish and he did not teach about immortal souls...he taught about resurrection.....which is a return to life, not a continuation of it.
If you look that scripture up in different translations, you will see "soul" and "person" are interchangeable. They mean the same thing.
The above phrase, "destroy both soul and body in hell", is about the future "lake of fire" event written to occur after God's future Great White Throne Judgment per Rev.20. The KJV word "hell" there in the Greek is 'geena' which is put for the "lake of fire", not Haides. That "second death" does not destroy flesh, because by that time no one will be in a flesh body anymore, but in the "spiritual body".
No actually it is destruction "of body and soul in Gehenna". There is no mention of spirit here....
The second death is exactly what it says.....if one dies this death, there is no resurrection...it is everlasting death. No one comes out of the lake of fire....they are "destroyed" there.
There is no spiritual body for the majority of mankind....the only ones who will receive a spiritual resurrection to heaven are the elect, who are specifically chosen for a role in heaven with Christ as Kings and Priests. (Rev 20:6)
Those who will be their subjects will live on earth, where God put us in the first place.

As Rev 21:2-5 says....
"I also saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared like a bride adorned for her husband.
3 Then I heard a loud voice from the throne: Look, God’s dwelling is with humanity, and he will live with them. They will be his peoples, and God himself will be with them and will be their God. 4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; grief, crying, and pain will be no more, because the previous things have passed away."

5 Then the one seated on the throne said, “Look, I am making everything new.”
Its not confusion, it is truth. The "spirit" in man is his breath. This is what God gave Adam at his creation....."the breath of life" and Adam "BECAME" a living soul. (Genesis 2:7) A soul is a breather. Animals are also "souls".
Eccl 3:19-20...
"For the fate of the children of Adam and the fate of animals is the same. As one dies, so dies the other; they all have the same breath. People have no advantage over animals since everything is futile. 20 All are going to the same place; all come from dust, and all return to dust." This is not Jewish teaching...it is the teaching of God's word. Jesus taught from Jewish scripture.

When Eccl 12 says that "the spirit returns to the true God who gave it".....it is speaking about the resurrection.....this passage is figuratively speaking about the slow descent into old age and death.....only God can give back the breath of life to those he resurrects in his new world.

Exactly the same teaching put forth by Jehovahs Witnesses, that falsely teach a chosen elect 144,000 will go to heaven and serve God, everyone else stays on earth

Are you a member of the Jehovahs Witnesses?

No, the LIE is that YOU are pushing from false JUDAISM. The Jew's religion loves to dwell on Genesis 2:7 with thinking the soul is part of our material fleshy makeup, when it is not. Just by the OT Scripture you are quoting proves you are a student of JUDAISM. This is a CHRISTIAN FORUM by the way.

The Jew's religion even rejects Old Testament Scripture about the soul departing from the flesh...

1 Kings 17:20-22
20 And he cried unto the LORD, and said, O LORD my God, hast Thou also brought evil upon the widow with whom I sojourn, by slaying her son?

21 And he stretched himself upon the child three times, and cried unto the LORD, and said, O LORD my God, I pray Thee,
let this child's soul come into him again.

22 And the LORD heard the voice of Elijah;
and the soul of the child came into him again, and he revived.
KJV

Matt 10:28
28 And fear not them which kill the body,
but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear Him Which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
KJV

Don't look for textbook answers. Try and connect the dots. If the Marriage of the Lamb PRECEDES the Second Coming (which it does) and all the saints must be present for that occasion, then it follows that the Resurrection/Rapture PRECEDES the Marriage of the Lamb. There is always a divine logic to the sequence of events.
Come on now Enoch111, the marriage of The Lamb definitely does NOT... precede Jesus' coming. Revelation 19 easily shows this. Read it for yourself as written, and not just how your preacher tells you what it says. Thus your Logic is actually skewed towards a false doctrine not written in God's Word.

Rev 19:1-9
1 And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, "Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:
2 For true and righteous are His judgments: for He hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of His servants at her hand."
3 And again they said, "Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever."
4 And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God That sat on the throne, saying, "Amen; Alleluia."
5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, "Praise our God, all ye His servants, and ye that fear Him, both small and great."
6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, "Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth."

ALL of the above verses are of the timeline AFTER the destruction of the Babylon Harlot. That destruction ends the "great tribulation", is about the coming of Lord Jesus Christ to do it. That above shows it already happened.

7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to Him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and His wife hath made herself ready.
8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
9 And he saith unto me, "Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb." And he saith unto me, "These are the true sayings of God."
KJV

Then the above 7,8,9 verses are the 'actual'... time of the marriage of The Lamb.

So I really don't see how anyone could get the order of those events as written so mixed up as to put the marriage before... the destruction of the Babylon Harlot. Yet that is exactly what the deceived do, they lie to themselves, and often.

Really? If you have access to a concordance look up the word "nep̄eš" (soul) and see how many meanings it has.....

Since Jesus used Jewish scripture exclusively, I don't think quoting the OT is offensive to anyone.

22 And the LORD heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came into him again, and he revived.
KJV

Matt 10:28
28 And fear not them which kill the body,
but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear Him Which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
KJV
Sorry but you show that Bible study is not your forte'.
According to Strongs, "soul" can be translated as...

self, life, creature, person, appetite, mind, living being, desire, emotion, passion.

  1. that which breathes, the breathing substance or being, soul, the inner being of man
  2. living being
  3. living being (with life in the blood)
  4. the man himself, self, person or individual
  5. seat of the appetites
  6. seat of emotions and passions
  7. activity of mind

The scriptures you quoted would then read....

"21 And he stretched himself upon the child three times, and cried unto Jehovah, and said, O Jehovah my God, I pray Thee, let this child's life come into him again.

22 And Jehovah heard the voice of Elijah;
and the life of the child came into him again, and he revived."

Matt 10:28
28 And fear not them which kill the body,
but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear Him Which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. [Gehenna]

Again, try doing some research and see what the words mean in their original languages.....

"Soul" in this verse is "psychē" which means.....

  1. the breath of life

    1. the vital force which animates the body and shows itself in breathing

      1. of animals
      2. of men
  2. life
  3. that in which there is life

    1. a living being, a living soul."

A "soul" is a living, breathing creature. There is no such thing as an "immortal soul" anywhere in the Bible.
A "soul" is destroyed along with the "body" in "Gehenna"....which is not "hell". It is the lake of fire, which Jesus said was "the second death".....
Its not a literal lake, nor is the fire literal....it is the symbol of eternal death, which is the logical opposite of eternal life. Souls are "destroyed" in that place.

So you can deny what the scriptures say in ignorance, or you can do your homework and actually tell the truth as it is written....not as you assume it to be.

More of pushing Universalism again!
"IN CHRIST" all will be made alive and bow a knee.
In Christ means you gave been born again. You believe in and follow Christ. Judgment and destruction comes to those who don't along with the first heavens and first earth. Once the New Jerusalem comes down from heaven, the new heaven on a new earth that's it, eternity for all Christians, no more death, pain or suffering.
Rev. 22:7-21 is a parenthetical footnote, a summation in pre-tribulatuon ( first earth/heaven) times. It is not another cycle of "Jesus is coming quickly", since He already did at His Second Coming. He didn't go anywhere during the Millennial Kingdom or after. We were all with Him.
Revelation can be confusing. There are other parenthetical sections that can throw people off. They aren't part of the timeline scenario. It is like a story is told and finished, then a reflection on the whole story is given, "So now remember this ..."

You are the one telling the satanic lie here. It is only one's body that returns to the dust when they die, not their soul and spirit. John saw the souls of those whose bodies had died in heaven and they were conscious.

Revelation 6:9 When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained. 10 They called out in a loud voice, “How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?” 11 Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to wait a little longer, until the full number of their fellow servants, their brothers and sisters, were killed just as they had been.

It’s amazing to me how thoroughly Satan has indoctrinated people with this immortal soul nonsense.
It was never something taught to the Israelites and therefore not taught by Jesus or the apostles who were all Jewish and used the Hebrew Scriptures exclusively.

Belief in an immortal soul that escapes from the body to live on is NOT a Bible teaching. The Jews believed in resurrection, which was a restoration to life, not a continuation of it.
Where did Jesus say that his friend Lazarus was before he raised him from his grave?

John 11:11-14...
“These things He said, and after that He said to them, “Our friend Lazarus sleeps, but I go that I may wake him up.” Then His disciples said, “Lord, if he sleeps he will get well.” However, Jesus spoke of his death, but they thought that He was speaking about taking rest in sleep. Then Jesus said to them plainly, “Lazarus is dead. (NKJV) “Dead” = “sleep”. There is no consciousness in death. (Eccl 9:5, 6, 10) Ability to think or plan as well as all emotions, cease...even “love”.

John 3:13 tells us that no one went to heaven before Jesus....so where did all those “souls” go, who died before Jesus did? When you don’t have the truth, you have invent scenarios...like places for souls to go when they die....?

Revelation 6:9 When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained. 10 They called out in a loud voice, “How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?” 11 Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to wait a little longer, until the full number of their fellow servants, their brothers and sisters, were killed just as they had been.
You do understand that the Revelation was presented in symbolisms.....? Just read it and see that symbolism is everywhere. Hardly anything is literal.

The “souls” are the symbolic “lives” of those who were martyred, unless you believe that what John saw was in reality a bunch of executed souls sitting under the alter...? How big was this alter? Could it house perhaps hundreds of souls who were all crying out for justice to be serve on their behalf? Had they been sitting there for thousands of years in that sad and sorry state? Do you never think past your favoured doctrines?

The “full number of their fellow servants” are obviously the elect.....the 144,000 “joint heirs with Christ” (Rom 8:17) who are to rule with him as kings and priests in his kingdom. (Rev 20:6) These are the only ones who are numbered.....(Rev 7:4; Rev 12:1-5) There was another group that John saw who “no man was able to number” attributing salvation to God and the Lamb. (Rev 7: 9-10, 13-14)These were separate from “the 144,000” who were “chosen from among mankind as firstfruits”. (Rev 14:1-5)

When you read scripture without pre-conceived ideas planted by someone other than God, you can read scripture as it is written......not reading it with whatever ideas you want to find...and God will not stop you from doing so. Hearts respond to the truth....or they don’t.....God is observing all of us who read his word and who are searching for the truth....they will be directed to the diamond in a large pile of broken glass. (John 6:65)

The soul currently is not immortal, but it does leave the body when the body dies.

Gen 35:16 And they journeyed from Bethel; and there was but a little way to come to Ephrath: and Rachel travailed, and she had hard labour.
Gen 35:17 And it came to pass, when she was in hard labour, that the midwife said unto her, Fear not; thou shalt have this son also.
Gen 35:18 And it came to pass, as her soul was in departing, (for she died) that she called his name Benoni: but his father called him Benjamin.
Gen 35:19 And Rachel died, and was buried in the way to Ephrath, which is Bethlehem.

Here the soul is leaving body at death.

1Ki 17:21 And he stretched himself upon the child three times, and cried unto the LORD, and said, O LORD my God, I pray thee, let this child's soul come into him again.
1Ki 17:22 And the LORD heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came into him again, and he revived.

Here we have a dead child whose soul has left body. After prayer, allows soul to return to child and child comes back to life. The body dead if soul is not present.

Isa_53:12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Again we see that the soul being "poured out" results in a death.

Please read post # 35....its all explained there.

The soul "departing" means Rachel's life was ebbing away. Have you ever sat with a dying person...if you have, then you will know that the final stages of dying for many people is just that. Rachel had just given birth and obviously something went wrong, possibly a hemorrhage and she could feel her life slowly slipping away.

Elijah resurrected the widows son by asking God to restore his soul....which means his life.

Replace "life" for "soul" and you have the truth. There is no immortal part of man that departs from the body at death....but satan wants you to think it does, because that was his first lie....."you surely will not die".
