In what way does Rev 5:9-10 refute what I said? Please elaborate....Revelation 5:9-10 refutes you.
You are obviously confused. And no, the animals do NOT go to Paradise when they die like men born in the flesh do when they die.Where does it mention "immortal souls" anywhere in the Bible? This is an assumption, not a Bible teaching. There is no such thing as an "immortal soul" because all "souls" in the Bible are living, breathing creatures, both man and animals. We all breathe the same air and die the same death as
You said: The elect Saints are destined for a role in heaven.....In what way does Rev 5:9-10 refute what I said? Please elaborate....
It is basically an accurate timeline. but you miss some important resurrections and judgments that make yours wrong in a couple of areas.Revelation Timeline of EventsJesus returns to Earth for the second time, aka the “second coming”.
Revelation 19
The righteous are resurrected (meaning their souls leave Heaven and enter their new, Earthly, bodies) and those still living will be transformed and receive new, perfected, bodies. They will rule Earth with Jesus for 1,000 years.
Revelation 20:4 … and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
1 Corinthians 15 22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. 23 But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ.
At the end of the 1,000 years the unrighteous were resurrected and are judged at the Great White Throne Judgment. Some may (or will) be condemned to the “Lake of Fire” (LOF). Death itself is then abolished in the LOF.
Revelation 20
The present Earth and heavens are eliminated and replaces with a new Earth and new heavens. Jesus says “Behold, I am making all things new”. Once again it says that the unrighteous will be thrown into the LOF. New Jerusalem appears.
Revelation 21
The “River of Life” is described and then John reiterates that Jesus will be coming to save the world which he previously described in Revelation 20.
Revelation 22
Jesus puts all enemies under his feet, meaning, they are now loyal to and serve him. Having accomplished his mission of saving ALL mankind, Jesus stops ruling the kingdom and gives it to God the Father, who then becomes ALL in ALL!
1 Corinthians 15:22-
22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. 23 But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ. 24 Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power. 25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death. 27 For “God[c] has put all things in subjection under his feet.” But when it says, “all things are put in subjection,” it is plain that he is excepted who put all things in subjection under him. 28 When all things are subjected to him, then the Son himself will also be subjected to him who put all things in subjection under him, that God may be all in all.
Philippians 2:10-11 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Romans 10:9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
No, you don't have it right. Where does Paul insert 1,000 years before Christ's second coming and the end the way you do? How does what you're saying line up with what Peter taught here:Revelation Timeline of EventsJesus returns to Earth for the second time, aka the “second coming”.

All living creatures are called “souls” in the Bible. All souls breathe, but when breathing stops, the soul dies (Ezekiel 18:4).....only man was made in God’s image and designed for unending life. We have no “program” for death....it is still as foreign and dreaded by us as it always was. The majority of animals do not respond to death like we do.....they accept it as part of life...we don’t. We know it’s inevitable but something inside us is desperate to continue living. The human soul (person) is restored to life by resurrection.....it isn’t something invisible that departs from the body at death. You are obviously confused. And no, the animals do NOT go to Paradise when they die like men born in the flesh do when they die.
I believe that you are confusing what Jesus said about “immortality” for his elect, because only the they are granted an immortal life when they are “born again” as spirit beings in the “first resurrection”. (Rev 20:6)The idea of the soul putting on immortality is written in 1 Corinthians 15:53-54. You should trying studying it sometime instead of heeding the Jew's religion.
Your claim is "False" The Lord will "Dissolve" this earth by fire at his return, down to its very elements
2 Peter 3:10-12KJV
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
Well, it seems that you have overlooked the prophecy in Daniel 2 where Daniel tells us that during the time of those kings that God will establish his everlasting kingdom on the earth.
Daniel 2:34 -35, 44-45: - 34 You watched while a stone was cut out without hands, which struck the image on its feet of iron and clay and broke them in pieces. 35 Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold were crushed together, and became like chaff from the summer threshing floors; the wind carried them away so that no trace of them was found. And the stone that struck the image became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.. . . . 44 And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever. 45 Inasmuch as you saw that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold — the great God has made known to the king what will come to pass after this. The dream is certain, and its interpretation is sure.”This prophecy has not yet been fulfilled. God will establish this kingdom in our near future, possibly, within the next 20-25 years,
But you claim that this prophecy of God's is false.
You have illustrated, beautifully, the point that I was making. It seems to me that you and Keraz are strange bedfellows in your respective prophetic understandings.
I guess it depends on which translation you use.....You said: The elect Saints are destined for a role in heaven.....
I said: Revelation 5:9-10 refutes you. It says that the Christian peoples of God, will be the royal house of priests for God on earth.
The elect are indeed taken from all nations, but not all faithful Christians have "the heavenly calling." (Heb 3:1)The 'Elect' are every faithful Christian person, whose names are in the Book of Life.
I do agree with most of the rest of your post
All living creatures are called “souls” in the Bible. All souls breathe, but when breathing stops, the soul dies (Ezekiel 18:4).....only man was made in God’s image and designed for unending life.
There is no conscious part of man that leaves the body at death.....that is a satanic lie. It was satan who said they "surely will not die", but Jehovah told Adam the opposite....I'd advise you leave that doctrine from Judaism about the 'soul' and follow what Lord Jesus and His Apostles taught, because man's 'soul' DOES NOT DIE at flesh death of the material body.
Ezekiel 18:4 says...Matt 10:28
28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear Him Which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
KJV
Our 'soul' is not... part of our flesh. It does not die when our flesh dies. But that is what orthodox Judaism wrongly believes. They believe that the soul is basically buried with the flesh body, and both are revived at the resurrection. That is not what the New Testament reveals. Nor actually is it what the Old Testament reveals (see 1 Kings 17).
No actually it is destruction "of body and soul in Gehenna". There is no mention of spirit here....The above phrase, "destroy both soul and body in hell", is about the future "lake of fire" event written to occur after God's future Great White Throne Judgment per Rev.20. The KJV word "hell" there in the Greek is 'geena' which is put for the "lake of fire", not Haides. Jesus is pointing to the destruction of one's spirit with soul in the "lake of fire", what is called the "second death" in Rev.20. That "second death" does not destroy flesh, because by that time no one will be in a flesh body anymore, but in the "spiritual body".
Its not confusion, it is truth. The "spirit" in man is his breath. This is what God gave Adam at his creation....."the breath of life" and Adam "BECAME" a living soul. (Genesis 2:7) A soul is a breather. Animals are also "souls".Even in Ecclesiastes 12:5-7, some confuse that "spirit" for simply animate life force that is in all things. No, that "spirit" there that goes back to God is about man's spirit body with soul. Both of those two things dwell in our flesh body while alive on earth, and are attached by that "silver cord" mentioned there. If that "silver cord" were severed, like it says, only then is our flesh body separated from our spirit body with soul.
Exactly the same teaching put forth by Jehovahs Witnesses, that falsely teach a chosen elect 144,000 will go to heaven and serve God, everyone else stays on earththe only ones who will receive a spiritual resurrection to heaven are the elect, who are specifically chosen for a role in heaven with Christ as Kings and Priests. (Rev 20:6)
Those who will be their subjects will live on earth, where God put us in the first place.
No, the LIE is that YOU are pushing from false JUDAISM. The Jew's religion loves to dwell on Genesis 2:7 with thinking the soul is part of our material fleshy makeup, when it is not. Just by the OT Scripture you are quoting proves you are a student of JUDAISM. This is a CHRISTIAN FORUM by the way. There is no conscious part of man that leaves the body at death.....that is a satanic lie. It was satan who said they "surely will not die", but Jehovah told Adam the opposite....
Come on now Enoch111, the marriage of The Lamb definitely does NOT... precede Jesus' coming. Revelation 19 easily shows this. Read it for yourself as written, and not just how your preacher tells you what it says. Thus your Logic is actually skewed towards a false doctrine not written in God's Word.Don't look for textbook answers. Try and connect the dots. If the Marriage of the Lamb PRECEDES the Second Coming (which it does) and all the saints must be present for that occasion, then it follows that the Resurrection/Rapture PRECEDES the Marriage of the Lamb. There is always a divine logic to the sequence of events.
Really? If you have access to a concordance look up the word "nep̄eš" (soul) and see how many meanings it has.....No, the LIE is that YOU are pushing from false JUDAISM. The Jew's religion loves to dwell on Genesis 2:7 with thinking the soul is part of our material fleshy makeup, when it is not. Sorry but you show that Bible study is not your forte'.The Jew's religion even rejects Old Testament Scripture about the soul departing from the flesh...
1 Kings 17:20-22
20 And he cried unto the LORD, and said, O LORD my God, hast Thou also brought evil upon the widow with whom I sojourn, by slaying her son?
21 And he stretched himself upon the child three times, and cried unto the LORD, and said, O LORD my God, I pray Thee, let this child's soul come into him again.
22 And the LORD heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came into him again, and he revived.
KJV
Matt 10:28
28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear Him Which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
KJV

You are the one telling the satanic lie here. It is only one's body that returns to the dust when they die, not their soul and spirit. John saw the souls of those whose bodies had died in heaven and they were conscious. There is no conscious part of man that leaves the body at death.....that is a satanic lie. It was satan who said they "surely will not die", but Jehovah told Adam the opposite....
"By the sweat of your face You shall eat bread, Until you return to the ground, Because from it you were taken; For you are dust, And to dust you shall return.”...there was no mention of an afterlife for Adam and his wife.....just life or death.
It’s amazing to me how thoroughly Satan has indoctrinated people with this immortal soul nonsense. You are the one telling the satanic lie here. It is only one's body that returns to the dust when they die, not their soul and spirit. John saw the souls of those whose bodies had died in heaven and they were conscious.
You do understand that the Revelation was presented in symbolisms.....? Just read it and see that symbolism is everywhere. Hardly anything is literal.Revelation 6:9 When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained. 10 They called out in a loud voice, “How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?” 11 Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to wait a little longer, until the full number of their fellow servants, their brothers and sisters, were killed just as they had been.
Belief in an immortal soul that escapes from the body to live on is NOT a Bible teaching.
Please read post # 35....its all explained there. The soul currently is not immortal, but it does leave the body when the body dies.
Gen 35:16 And they journeyed from Bethel; and there was but a little way to come to Ephrath: and Rachel travailed, and she had hard labour.
Gen 35:17 And it came to pass, when she was in hard labour, that the midwife said unto her, Fear not; thou shalt have this son also.
Gen 35:18 And it came to pass, as her soul was in departing, (for she died) that she called his name Benoni: but his father called him Benjamin.
Gen 35:19 And Rachel died, and was buried in the way to Ephrath, which is Bethlehem.
Here the soul is leaving body at death.
1Ki 17:21 And he stretched himself upon the child three times, and cried unto the LORD, and said, O LORD my God, I pray thee, let this child's soul come into him again.
1Ki 17:22 And the LORD heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came into him again, and he revived.
Here we have a dead child whose soul has left body. After prayer, allows soul to return to child and child comes back to life. The body dead if soul is not present.
Isa_53:12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
Again we see that the soul being "poured out" results in a death.
