How many times must I write the above? I'm really getting tired of repeating myself
Maybe it's because there's more for you to see than you realize,? Did Paul really suddenly stop keeping the commandments after falling off his donkey? Does 'being dead to the law' mean we are free from the condemnation of the law, and therefore free to ignore it? If you get a warning from a highway patrol-man for speeding, does that give you license to burn rubber as you pull back into traffic?

@Jim B @Brakelite No matter what you preach about Grace, you will never increase inspiration greatly, unless you preach the Greater Grace of the Holy Spirit.

Inspiration is the key. You are godly, yes, but remember where you came from. The germ of the death of the seed within you, was for more than a little sprouting! Grow fruit and exchange fruit! The time will come when you could wish that you would speak with one of your brothers and you will not be able.

I believe in scripture, which includes every passage you have quoted. I am fully aware of what those texts are saying, and your quoting them doesn't help your cause when you presume to know my motives and mindset.
Much of what you say I can agree with. Actually, I'm not sure why you quoted those passages, and I certainly don't know why my practise of observing and obeying God's commandments is contrary to what you quote, or anything else in scripture for that matter.
The only conclusion I can come up with is that you are of the belief that not just mine, but everyone's practise of Sabbath keeping is an attempt to earn salvation, and you think that because such attempts are futile, (which they are), then all obedience and the law of God as written in the commandments must be unchristian. So it comes down to you judging the motives of millions of Christian believers throughout the world, and you and Jack searching for reasons to justify your non compliance with God's commandments.
I also wonder, in response to the quote of scripture above, whether you believe Jesus and the disciples actually broke the commandment when they ate some grain and healed people on the Sabbath? I'm not making that conclusion, not wanting to judge your motives, but am curious as to why you chose that particular passage to justify your non compliance, or critique my compliance. Not really sure where you are coming from.
As for me having a fixation on the Sabbath. For over 25 years other Christians have been condemning me for being a Seventh Day Adventist, and have focused on Sabbath keeping as their number one gripe. Why is that I wonder? What is it about the 7th commandment that non Adventist Christians find so distasteful that they search scriptures to find reasons to justify their non observance of the Sabbath, and their replacing God's holy day with something else?
You asked: "What is it about the 7th commandment that non Adventist Christians find so distasteful that they search scriptures to find reasons to justify their non observance of the Sabbath, and their replacing God's holy day with something else?"

Please Examine the Commandment - Exodus 31:12-17

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak also to the children of Israel, saying: ‘Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the Lord who sanctifies you. You shall keep the Sabbath, therefore, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people. Work shall be done for six days, but the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. Therefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant. It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.’ ”

Mark 2:23-28, "One Sabbath he was going through the grain fields, and as they made their way his disciples began to pluck heads of grain. The Pharisees said to him, “Look, why are they doing what is not lawful on the Sabbath?” And he said to them, “Have you never read what David did when he and his companions were hungry and in need of food, how he entered the house of God when Abiathar was high priest and ate the bread of the Presence, which it is not lawful for any but the priests to eat, and he gave some to his companions?” Then he said to them, “The Sabbath was made for humankind and not humankind for the Sabbath, so the Son of Man is lord even of the Sabbath.”

I am glad I am under the freedom of the new covenant and not the virtual prison of the old.

I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about!
You say there is newness of Spirit (and that we have been freed from the Law), but you make no mention of the Inspiration that is beyond the Law. @Brakelite says fulfilling the Law does not stop, but makes no mention of the strength behind the Inspiration that makes it possible to keep fulfilling the Law. You guys need to focus on the Inspiration of the Holy Spirit - greater works than Jesus' we are meant to do! Part of that is trusting that the Holy Spirit will bring us to Jesus and the Father.

The strength that is in the Holy Spirit is in keeping the FAITH.

The FAITH is that God sent His Son who Finished the Work whereupon God Rested and wherupon our sins are forgiven and we have Peace with the FATHER thru the LORD Jesus Christ.

I'm Christian, not Jew. I follow the New Covenant.

Maybe you should explain why you don't obey Paul nor the Law of Moses.

Galatians 5:2-4
2 Indeed I, Paul, say to you that if you become circumcised, Christ will profit you nothing.
3 And I testify again to every man who becomes circumcised that he is a debtor to keep the whole law.
4 You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.
You do not know the Gospel at all. You think if you come here after looking at an online Bible site that you can enter here and challenge Christians faith.

You only prove you do not know The Word.

It is always easy to know who are the Elect. And those who are not.

You have my sympathies. And I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels for your loss.

More than that! The Strength of the Holy Spirit, brings everyone (but the denier of peace) to Jesus and the Father. That is the assurance we have, that in Heaven everyone who responded to the Righteousness of Jesus will be there. Everyone!

The Bible says there will be a great hail, with every hail being like the weight of a talent. That is, if you have even a talent of response to Jesus' Righteousness, the Holy Spirit will have the strength to bring you to Heaven.

Grace is the key. Does anyone suppose that any human can obey God's commandments without grace? Am I who I am without Christ?
KJV Romans 8:3-4
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Our Savior 'condemned sin in the flesh' conquering the problem for the human race. God, for all eternity, made sin a universal powerless concept by defeating it in its own home, the fallen sinful human flesh. Because of what Christ accomplished at Calvary, there is now no reason for any human being to continue living under the dreadful dominion and slavery of sin. Sinful addictions lose their power if one has the faith of Jesus. I am the person I am today because Jesus died for me on Calvary, revealing such unbelievable agape love it is astonishing. To think the Son of Almighty God has for all eternity taken upon Himself human nature, will never be fully appreciated until we stand before the throne of the Father and witness for ourselves what sacrifice He made in giving His Son to a lost world.
I am thankful for all that God has done for me. And I am convinced that He will finish this 'work in progress' before Jesus comes to take His bride home. God has promised to prepare His Son's bride, and through His power and grace, this He will accomplish.

KJV 2 Peter 1:2-4
2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Here is the promise of the new covenant made to those who have the faith of Abraham...

KJV Ezekiel 36:22-27
22 Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.
23 And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.
24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.
25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.
26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

KJV Galatians 2:20-21
20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

KJV 2 Corinthians 1:19-22
19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea.
20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
21 Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God;
22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

KJV John 15:5
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

KJV Galatians 5:22-25
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

KJV Ephesians 5:9
9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth; )

KJV Philippians 1:11; 4:23
11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God....I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me.

KJV James 1:17
17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

KJV 1 John 2:5
5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

KJV Luke 11:28
28 But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

KJV John 14:23
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

KJV John 6:63
63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

KJV 1 Thessalonians 2:13
13 For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.

God's precepts/commandments are promises: they must necessarily be such as God knows we have no power. All that God requires of us, He gives to us. When God says, "thou shalt not", this is not a negative command, but a promise to those who believe.
It is not you or me that is to do what the Lord pleases, but "it (His word) shall accomplish that which I please". We are not to read God's word, and say to ourselves, "I must do that, and I must not do that". We are to open our hearts to that word, and allow the will of God to be accomplished in us. The word of God itself is to do it. It was the word of God that created all things, it is the word of God that recreates us in the image of Christ. "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom". "It is not I that liveth, but Christ that liveth in me".
See Isaiah 55:11. Luke 8:15.
KJV Romans 3:24
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

KJV Romans 8:2-4
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing.
He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. (John 14:12)

yeah, I already asked you which of the 10 Commandments are impossible for me to keep?

you continue to dodge that question because it assassinates your argument.

where else would you like to take your losing argument?
The Ten are part of the Law. You didn't know that?

yeah, see, you continue to reveal how confused, and uneducated, you are on the topic of discussion.

jews don't obey the 10 Commandments. they never have.

if you're a Christian, that declares that you are a follower of Jesus Christ.

Jesus obeyed, and taught, the 10 Commandments.

do you?

first of all, Paul is not my God.

ironically, to your point of contention though, Paul was a keeper of the 10 Commandments.
Acts 21:24

and because I too keep the 10 Commandments, I suppose you could say I follow Paul in that regard.
You don't obey the Law. Why are you preaching it? The Law COMMANDS to be circumcised. Do you tell people to be circumcised?

Exactly!!

Everyone becomes estranged from Christ, when they attempt to be justified by law. His death provided full justification for everyone who believes. For a Christian to put themself back under the law is to deny Christ.
The Law preachers don't obey the Law but they love to pretend they do!

fixed it for ya.

God bless.
Have edited original. Thank you.

Great quote. God took His holy Sabbath day very seriously, and expected Israel to do the same. It was intended as a sign of the relationship between God and His people. and in theocratic Israel, the consequences of profaning it were dire indeed. Thankfully Jesus bore upon His own head the death sentence for disobedience... Not just in regards the 4th commandment, but every commandment. Otherwise we all be lost.
Praise God also for the holy Spirit and the power of God that by His grace and mercy, through faith in His promises, the power of sin is broken, and we no longer need to live as slaves under it's tyranny.
Praise God also for the mystery of the gospel whereby the believing Israeli and Gentile are now one in Christ. It was to them that the promise of the new covenant was made.
You asked: "What is it about the 7th commandment that non Adventist Christians find so distasteful that they search scriptures to find reasons to justify their non observance of the Sabbath, and their replacing God's holy day with something else?"

So you are saying, that your quote of scripture above is why the 4th commandment is so distasteful? (Yes, 4th comment, not 7th, my bad.,) So distasteful that the church believes it has the authority to overturn even the Commandments of God in favor of it's own traditions and alternatives?
