It's an issue. Another bigger one is the two prophets (not the two witnesses) die at the same time, and resurrect at the same time and at the same time rise into heaven. John died years before Jesus, and Jesus has resurrected and rose into heaven alone, and John has not yet resurrected. Again,. NOTHING in Rev 11 supports your theories.
Scripture, and the understanding of God's Holy Spirit (the mind of Christ) opposes your view.
1 Thes. 4:12-18
[13] But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep [in Jesus], that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
[14] For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God [who is within Jesus] bring with him.

So then, for those who have physically died in Christ, but "shall never die"** spiritually, where are they coming from, when Jesus returns in His immortality?
Ans. Heavenly Jerusalem, aka paradise.
Please see and digest all of Gal. 4.

We each ourselves, who are born again, are literally the individual "lively stones" ***[stones for building], called the Heavenly city of New Jerusalem. It's not about literal buildings, as we know of in this world.

WE each ARE a temple (mansions) in which both God the Father and the Son dwell in.
Jesus Himself, IS literally His "Father's House", the place of God's dwelling, and we are "the many "mansions", that Jesus is placing there.

**Note: John 11:26
*** 1 Peter 2:5

Earburner,

Romans 14:9 For this very reason, Christ died (100% death 1688989238676.png) and returned to life:Happy: so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living.

Asleep is still dead!!! - only difference is those in Christ, died in faith, and the life is in the Mind of God, ready to be rasied at His Sons appearing.

Otherwise Jesus is only Lord of the Living and he didnt really die!

This is a sad post, not because its false teaching; it's sad because of what the deception will bring upon you when/if the truth is revealed in the day of his coming.

Read John 20 and see how the disciples carefully handled Christ and his new body. When sin's flesh was crucified, like all God's children the Life that was with the Father, is that same Life which He gave His son, he will also give you if you believe correctly.

Read and study 1John 1 to read about the Eternal Life and how Christ was the first recipient of that Life.

Immortality is the quality "put on" or "clothed upon" us and Eternal life is the quantity.

You are 100% mortal.

F2F
100% mortal, of our temporary dwelling?yes....but, 2 Cor. 4:7 explains
[7] But we have this treasure [God Himself] in earthen vessels [within our mortal bodies], that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

We are waiting for the Day of Jesus' Glorious return in His Immortality, so that we can be "changed" into His likeness.
All, who are born again now have become a NEW creature (creation) of God, being for the moment only "partakers of the divine nature". We are only presently waiting to be changed from the corrupt filthiness of our mortal bodies, and into the uncorruptible bodies like His.

If you go back to my post #461 and digest it, you will see that I am saying the same thing, except for one important issue: John 11:26. The Holy Spirit of God within us is now our our new being. Not only do we each physically die some day, but in Christ, we have died to ourselves, the natural man. Indeed, we truly are a NEW creature now in part, waiting to be changed into His likeness.

Edit:
Now, my question to you and all is:
When we physically die, does the Holy Spirit of God Himself within us, die also??
Absolutely NOT. John 11:26...do YOU believe it?

Correct - here is that treasure!

Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

The truth Earburn is the treasure is here!

Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

The treasure of a true knowledge is whats hidden - thats all!

I dont think you understood Romans 14:9

How can Jesus be Lord of the dead, if you say, they are in fact living?

The verse makes no sense at all - they are either 100% dead or 100% living.

End of story

If you read just a few verses earlier!

All flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls, 25 but the word of the Lord remains forever.” And this word is the good news that was preached to you.

You either have this Word, or you do not, and yes, His Word remains for ever! - but you Earburner, are flesh, which is like grass which will whither and fall.

This is a true saying.

Just not into new age philosophy and mumbo jumbo, many preterist use to dance around Scripture.
What? New age philosophy? Please understand WHAT the Holy Spirit of God TEACHES, through the mind of Christ, who is within you, and NOT the wisdom of men in "church-ianity". Please study all of 1 Cor. 2.

[12] Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
[13] Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but [that] which the Holy Ghost teacheth;  COMPARING spiritual things with spiritual.

Understand Jesus: whosoever liveth AND believeth in me, shall NEVER DIE.
DO YOU believe it, as He asks for us to believe it? John 11:26.
Rom. 8:8-9 and 1 John 5:12-13 explains it thoroughly.

Yes, God Eternal Word is Spirit. It's the treasure of knowing God and Christ.

The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life.

They enter your mind and you become a spiritual thinker!

So the Words Christ spoke are the Words of Eternal Life - the promise Life - not its possession until you are raised!

Rather clear Earburner....I even bolded the text and made it red for you - its knowledge of truth.

That's it!

True, once a person's life is "in Christ", death is but a sleep.

But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 1 Corinth 15:20

i.e they are all still asleep! he is the first to come out of the grave and be immortalised.

Many more to be raised...all the faithful in Adam who rested in faith - Hebrews 11:39-40

And the Word of God IS JESUS Himself.

John 5[39] Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

Now, if you don't HAVE His very Spirit within you, then you have nothing at all, but a form of godliness, of reading biblical words that will give you nothing but "a form of godliness", leaving you to be void of the Spirit of God, while you operate in the midst of your denominational religion, aka "church-ianity".
KJV Rom. 8:9, Rev. 3:20, 1 John 5:22-13.

Yes, God Eternal Word is Spirit. It's the treasure of knowing God and Christ.
Close, but not close enough.
The Treasure that we HAVE within our earthen bodies IS God Himself.
KJV-Rom. 8:8-9, 1 John 5 :12-13.

However, if one is NOT born again (John 3:3-8) by His Spirit, all the biblical words are NOT going to do it for you, until you respond to Him as Luke 11:13 and Rev. 3:20 guide us to Him.
We each MUST personally INVITE (open the door of our heart) Him INTO OUR VERY BEING.

Rom. 14
[8] For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.
[9] For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.
There us a huge difference between those who are dead unto God "already", being still in their sins. When they physically die, they remain dead to themselves, as well as to God.

God is not the God of those who die in that death, but He is the God of the living, being those who are born again, and have died in the Lord.
Rom. 8
[9] But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Zech. 3[8] Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH [who was Jesus, in mortal flesh].

Zech. 4
[12] And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive [oil] branches which through the two golden pipes [branches] empty the golden oil [symbolic of God's Holy Spirit] out of themselves?
[13] And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.
[14] Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by [for] the LORD of the whole earth.

Of all people who have ever lived, only John the Baptist and Jesus had the Holy Spirit of God at birth.
They are the two witnesses, of which have come already.

Became flesh, who is Jesus Himself.

John 1[14] And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Yes, the Lord took his Fathers Word into himself and accepted every one and live by them, and in obedience to that Word he obeyed and died on the cross having become the first-fruits from the dead.

But you dont believe he really died, so you are still in your sins.

We’re the two witnesses from the past?

The words 'witness' and 'past' are inextricably linked. Have you ever known a witness to be from the future? If you were in a court setting (meaning, the is an accuser, a defence and witnesses) and you opted for a witness from the future, you'd be thrown out as having no credibility.
