It might make sense to you but, alongside statements such as "If you love me, keep my commandments," it is nothing but absolute nonsense to me.

I don't know how to thus change the way I reason. Asking God to forgive my sins through Christ and to come live inside my heart gave me no such ability as that which you are suggesting. It did, however, give me a desire to be obedient and to conform to a simple reading of His Word—ALL of His Word.

But if you want to enter into Eternal Life you must accept the conditions placed upon the whole world = GOSPEL

When we are Born-Again by the Spirit of God, we have entered into God's Eternal REST = the LORD Jesus Christ

"If you love me, keep my commandments,"
We are no longer under the Mosaic law commandments as we have a NEW Leader = the LORD
We are no longer under the Old Covenant = we are in the NEW Covenant of Grace where the LORD is our Sabbath Rest

OLD Covenant = Exodus 31:12-17
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak also to the children of Israel, saying: ‘Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the Lord who sanctifies you. NEW Covenant = John 3:16-18

They are required to adhere to the policies of the SDA home office, otherwise they get dis-fellowshiped so for this reason most of these folks won't ever get it.

That's how it is for people in most churches in that their group believes certain things and the people are expected to tow the party line so to speak and if they don't then they are no longer welcome to remain in the group.

Those who are IN Christ worship and REST in the Lord on ALL days a week which is a higher standard and far superior than just setting aside one day to rest and worship.

God’s people are no longer living under the Law of Moses. Now God’s people are living under the Law of Christ (also called the law of liberty, law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus – see Galatians 6:2, 1 Corinthians 9:21, James 2:12, James 1:25, Romans 8:2)
