We are the Clean UP crew = God sends us to CLEAN UP the falsehood
As nearly as I can tell... Job isn't even a Hebrew book. Job lives before there's such a thing as Israel. He doesn't speak to any chosen people... only to righteousness (or the the lack thereof).Job was a prophet by that which God chose for him to reveal to us in his sufferings.
Job's sufferings are the Prophecy, along with the BEST Part = chapters 38 thru 42
Job is quoted in the OT by God Himself and in the NT in the most profound Truth for what is coming.
Noah was a prophet as well = He believed BEFORE that which was spoken came to pass, thus JESUS spoke of Him in prophetic terms.
We need to think and SEE the Way God thinks and Knows
Good MorningAs nearly as I can tell... Job isn't even a Hebrew book. Job lives before there's such a thing as Israel. He doesn't speak to any chosen people... only to righteousness (or the the lack thereof).
The Jews have never reckoned Job among the Prophets, but rather among the Writings. The New Testament doesn't quote Job as a prophet, either. There's no evidence the early church treated it as such.Good Morning
All who are in Christ are God's holy people(righteous) = GOSPEL
The preaching of the Gospel began in Genesis = It is called the Kingdom of God
And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. - 2 Peter 1:19-21
#1 - The Jews are in darkness = they are not the Author of Scripture = only those Jews who believed the WORD are righteousThe Jews have never reckoned Job among the Prophets, but rather among the Writings. The New Testament doesn't quote Job as a prophet, either. There's no evidence the early church treated it as such.
I might suggest that you put this question to your pastor. Not everything in the Bible is prophecy.
No, he was never called a prophet, and he was wrong about some things as well.I don't think he was. I would be happy to be proven wrong, but... I don't see a place where he prophesies or is called a prophet. The New Testament authors barely quote Job...
I think these were called The Books of Wisdom, Job through Ecclesiastes, I think. The Jews have never reckoned Job among the Prophets, but rather among the Writings. The New Testament doesn't quote Job as a prophet, either. There's no evidence the early church treated it as such.

It is irrelevant for God has Spoken thru Job in giving ProphecyNo, he was never called a prophet, and he was wrong about some things as well.
Much love!
YEPPER - and JOB said the same thing = PropheticallyPsalms 22:1 KJV
To the chief Musician upon Aijeleth Shahar, A Psalm of David. My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?
You've been unrighteousessly calling me blind for a long time, and that reveals your heart, and your pride. You and the others on here are also blind to the fact that James included Job with the prophets = James 5:10-11
You claim it but you don't quote it.YEPPER - and JOB said the same thing = Prophetically
This is your opportunity to learn and I hope you do. Something tells me you will be as shut off and prideful as you've been, but I'm giving it another shot.God has given you great opportunity here for you to listen and to understand His Truth
Do you just make this up as you go along? It is irrelevant for God has Spoken thru Job in giving Prophecy
@marks, you do it to yourself everytime you exalt the error of dispensation above ChristYou've been unrighteousessly calling me blind for a long time, and that reveals your heart, and your pride.
James 5:10-11 KJV
10) Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.
11) Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.
Take for example the prophets. You have heard of the patience of Job.
These are two statements that do not show equivalency. You are reading that into the text, which is eisegesis, in other words, you opinion.
You've been to the circus. You've been to the movies. You've been to the beach. Just because we say these one after the other, does not make them all the same thing.
I hope you can hear this!
Forgive me brotherYou claim it but you don't quote it.
Was Jonah a Prophet??? = YES or NODo you just make this up as you go along?
What is it that every prophet says? "Thus saith the Lord . . ." There is one exception, Jesus, Who is the LORD.
Pay attention to these things.
Quote where Job is called a prophet, or where Job stated, "thus says the LORD". Before deflecting to other passages. Changing the subject tells me you know you are wrong but will not admit it.Was Jonah a Prophet??? = YES or NO
Of Course I've read Job, have you?Forgive me brother
Have you read Job??? = i am assuming you have , maybe i'm wrong in that assumption
