Which major Christian church in the U.S. is closest to the truth?

Forgive my presumption, but I think a better question to ponder might be which church is closest to the Truth, rather than just the truth.

An individual SDA can be a true Christian if he is trusting Christ alone for salvation, not Sabbath keeping, church membership, Ellen White, dietary rules, or any added system. But the SDA system itself is not biblically sound and should not be treated as just another harmless Christian denomination.

I wouldn't be a Seventh Day Adventist for the past 28 years of i thought there was a better alternative. Not saying my church is perfect, far from it. But as far as biblical teaching is concerned, for me is the closest..

36 years here—and I'm more convinced every day that I made the right decision converting.

And it doesn't mean a thing to someone without my own, or similar experience, I'm afraid.

But I understand.

How could I expect my dear Jesus to be so patient with me, if I didn't clear a wide and welcoming path for others who are doing their best to find their own way, even as I still am?

Been to 8 different specialists over the last two years and they have no answer.
He was once strong & healthy and then became ill from a tick byte and something else, we don't know.

Yes, he was treated with antibiotics but he only received minimal help from it.

We know our God heals and the prayers of the saints are the key.

Dan will get pains in the chest at times.
Hurts when breathing at times.
His kidneys were hurting real bad and the tests were showing kidney failure = THANK YOU LORD that you reversed that.
Sometimes his heart would hurt.

Never the same thing each day except for pain somewhere in his body.

i believe, in addition to his tick byte three years ago, Dan spent many hours and days cleaning out our basement and he could of been infected by mold and or other from contaminated dust.

i also was down there and never thought the basement area, which we all spend time in, would of done this but now we think it most likely is the culprit.

In July we go to a new Specialist = pray for God to direct the doctors and the tests

ABOVE all is our Heavenly FATHER = we know HE can and still heals = i was healed from cancer 40 years ago = only thru prayer

Have Doctor's tested for or ruled out Early Disseminated Lyme disease? The bacteria gets into the bloodstream and causes symptoms like what you described.

Good to see you. I must admit that in responding there was no small amount of presumption on my part as to what truth it was referring to. I liked your post elsewhere that suggested Truth would have been a more incisive question. Not convinced I would have necessarily answered the same.

So there isn't one, according to everyone here because everyone here believes that THEY themselves have the most complete understanding. Right? I'm guilty of that too, by the way.

Speaking from personal experience here. For me,the denominational allegiance lead to divisions.

Like for example, Baptists believe one way,Methodists another,Presbyterian another, and so forth. Seventh Day Adventists receive a lot of criticism due to their being of the former Millerite movement, the prophetess Ellen White and their honoring the traditional seventh day Sabbath. On and on.

When the first followers of the teachings of Messiah were Jews. It holds them that Messianic Jews would be those in line with the Salvation Christ intended first for the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

But,very often in the beginning the first converts to the faith were called, People of the Way.
Meaning the Way of Christ or,the Lord.

Even in denominational churches members differ about doctrine.

The faith is first a personal relationship with God. Holy spirit indwells us and guides us on the path he intends. We read the Bible but we all understand The Message as God intended uniquely for us once we are in his fold.

A consensus on every article of the faith among all Christians in any given gathering is rare.

Attend a denominational convention to see that first hand.

The one common denominator in the faith is , faith and salvation is by the grace of God who calls whom he will to his son. And we are then sealed,reborn in him,the moment we believe. Because the former self was unable to understand the things of God.

1 Corinthians 2:14: "The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned."

Our differences among those in the church,which is the community of reborn holy spirit filled believers, is not insurmountable when our consensus, our union, is that we are all,all,one in Christ.

We learn to defend the faith by contending with one another over what is personal passion within and for it.

1 Peter 3:15: "But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect."
