Which major Christian church in the U.S. is closest to the truth?

Forgive my presumption, but I think a better question to ponder might be which church is closest to the Truth, rather than just the truth.

An individual SDA can be a true Christian if he is trusting Christ alone for salvation, not Sabbath keeping, church membership, Ellen White, dietary rules, or any added system. But the SDA system itself is not biblically sound and should not be treated as just another harmless Christian denomination.

How, exactly, should it be treated?

I wouldn't be a Seventh Day Adventist for the past 28 years of i thought there was a better alternative. Not saying my church is perfect, far from it. But as far as biblical teaching is concerned, for me is the closest..

36 years here—and I'm more convinced every day that I made the right decision converting.

And it doesn't mean a thing to someone without my own, or similar experience, I'm afraid.

But I understand.

How could I expect my dear Jesus to be so patient with me, if I didn't clear a wide and welcoming path for others who are doing their best to find their own way, even as I still am?

He was once strong & healthy and then became ill from a tick byte and something else, we don't know.

Yes, he was treated with antibiotics but he only received minimal help from it.

We know our God heals and the prayers of the saints are the key.

Dan will get pains in the chest at times.
Hurts when breathing at times.
His kidneys were hurting real bad and the tests were showing kidney failure = THANK YOU LORD that you reversed that.
Sometimes his heart would hurt.

Never the same thing each day except for pain somewhere in his body.

i believe, in addition to his tick byte three years ago, Dan spent many hours and days cleaning out our basement and he could of been infected by mold and or other from contaminated dust.

i also was down there and never thought the basement area, which we all spend time in, would of done this but now we think it most likely is the culprit.

In July we go to a new Specialist = pray for God to direct the doctors and the tests

ABOVE all is our Heavenly FATHER = we know HE can and still heals = i was healed from cancer at the age of 40 = only thru prayer

Have Doctor's tested for or ruled out Early Disseminated Lyme disease? The bacteria gets into the bloodstream and causes symptoms like what you described.

Good to see you. I must admit that in responding there was no small amount of presumption on my part as to what truth it was referring to. I liked your post elsewhere that suggested Truth would have been a more incisive question. Not convinced I would have necessarily answered the same.

Like for example, Baptists believe one way,Methodists another,Presbyterian another, and so forth. Seventh Day Adventists receive a lot of criticism due to their being of the former Millerite movement, the prophetess Ellen White and their honoring the traditional seventh day Sabbath. On and on.

When the first followers of the teachings of Messiah were Jews. It holds them that Messianic Jews would be those in line with the Salvation Christ intended first for the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

But,very often in the beginning the first converts to the faith were called, People of the Way.
Meaning the Way of Christ or,the Lord.

Even in denominational churches members differ about doctrine.

The faith is first a personal relationship with God. Holy spirit indwells us and guides us on the path he intends. We read the Bible but we all understand The Message as God intended uniquely for us once we are in his fold.

A consensus on every article of the faith among all Christians in any given gathering is rare.

Attend a denominational convention to see that first hand.

The one common denominator in the faith is , faith and salvation is by the grace of God who calls whom he will to his son. And we are then sealed,reborn in him,the moment we believe. Because the former self was unable to understand the things of God.

Division is not necessarily a bad thing. In fact, the big picture looking down through the last 500 years reveals a process of division that over time brought to light truth and brought previously bound and ignorant followers of the papacy into a gradually growing movement that exposed the man of sin and uncovered many truth previously buried under mountains of superstition and fear..
The call today will soon swell to a mounting crescendo that will divide God's people from Babylon forever as Babylon's sins and apostasy is exposed and the true depths of her wickedness revealed.
Superficially, the reformation and the resulting numerous denominations and off shoots could be seen negatively, but God was in charge and the challenge today is to continue what they began.

YEP, the Church in the Bible is the One that CHRIST Placed me in, along with all who believe His every word.

Which christain church is closest to the truth .
The one that adheres to the Words of the LORD and all things HE did instruct in the scriptures
in the gospels , in the book of acts and in every letter of every apostel that was left to us in the bible
to include revelation as well .
The church that wont and dont compromise , wont and dont add to or t ake from His word
They are the sheep , they are the church , they are the body .
And they are not amongst the majority , but a minority .
They will not compromise . They will not heed wise men who twist the scrips to fit their own man made doctrine .
They FOLLOW CHRIST and HE keeps HIS OWN .
Now to the t renches one and all . For the hour is late and the delusion of lets be one grows great .
And i said a delusion , because this lets be one aint lets be on UNDER GOD OR CHRIST ,
though they will try and claim it to be so . But they flat out denied the gospel .
The dire need to have to even have to BELIEVE ON JESUS .
And the only one that would do that and try and imply that ,
well IT AINT GOD . GOD testified and THE SPIRIT of GOD and OF CHRIST testifies ON JESUS CHRIST

To put it simply Amigo, the RCC has set about to reverse the reformation. Division and separation from Rome was a good thing. For centuries Rome had buried truth under a mountain of rubbish and superstition. It took division to rediscover Apostolic truth, just as it took division to re-establish truth at the tower of Babel. The counter Reformation is seeking to rebuild the tower of Babel. Everyone under one language and one head... the pope.
