Matthew 18
6 “Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
7 Woe to the world because of offenses! For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes!
James 5
19 Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back,
20 let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins.
I don't believe the Lord has a problem with calling these people out. If the Word of God is to be taken serious, they need to be outed, because they are destroying the Gospel along with a multitude of souls.
Just my thoughts...
o
well job it works like this:
birds feed on food to sustain the life of a bird, cat eat the food that sustains the life of a cat to live a life of a cat, of which could be eating birds.
these people seek the food to live the life they have and want to live, and respond to it. hence the guy in the pulpit feeding them what they want.
if these people walked in the Spirit they wouldn't be there and there would be no profit or gain in that pulpit. if Christianity wasn't the dominate religion then it could be some kind of paganism would produce the same people seeking the same things to live the same life.
in kings God told this guy that the Lord was going to separate the nation Israel in two and that he would be the king in Israel and not Judah but as soon as he was established king
1Ki 12:26 And Jeroboam said in his heart, Now shall the kingdom return to the house of David:
1Ki 12:27 If this people go up to do sacrifice in the house of the LORD at Jerusalem, then shall the heart of this people turn again unto their lord,
even unto Rehoboam king of Judah, and they shall kill me, and go again to Rehoboam king of Judah.
1Ki 12:28 Whereupon the king took counsel, and made two calves
of gold, and said unto them, It is too much for you to go up to Jerusalem: behold thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.
1Ki 12:29 And he set the one in Bethel, and the other put he in Dan.
just like that the majority of Israel is now worshiping a golden calf, what changed there from the time Aron made the golden calf in Moses' day? probably nothing. without the Presence of God with us, we haven't got a chance.
but your absolutely correct to point out the wicked who seek to fleece the flock. new believers have a tendency to be more trusting then is healthy for them. and stay away and the believers communicate to others to stay away is up-right prevention.
if my memory serves, the Lord told Ezekiel something to the effect that if you tell them, its on them, if you don't tell them (meaning he knowingly didn't tell them) then it on him. many fall into the category of, let them find out for themselves attitude, it sucks for those who could have known, sooner.
