well, you are free to leave, i hope, but you do bring up a good point, that being that there are always exceptions, and my perspective is as limited as any, yes. But tbh, when i see smoke coming, i leave
ps, your deteriorating health, that prayer request on the other thread?
Maybe you found the problem? :D
i honestly mean no offense here ok Helen, but pls imagine how ridic you are going to sound trying to justify why you stayed after you are dead, ok?
all the prayers in the world will not allow you to breathe smoke and thrive
And, where would you expect Helen to go Mark? I know I would have a tough time because of my 3 dogs. And, not many have the money to just drive far away and stay in a motel if there are no relatives nearby that is not getting smoked out. And yeah, we reap what we sow but, how does that have anything to do with this horrible ailment torturing Helen right now?? Sorry, I emphatically disagree on that one...

Seems the true Anarchy looks allot like living off the grid. Self sufficient (or, in my case God sufficient, lol) It also seems a bit commune like...which, IMO, i not a bad thing in itself...I bet during the Trib., there will be any Christian communes out of necessity.
um, i guess there's hundreds right now bc of the many who would say they live that way out of necessity right now :). Living off grid is completely optional, nothing is written in stone, which is the whole point of "no king" i guess. That Trib you are referring to has been cancelled btw

ah, expectations. Ya, i remember them. Helen can go wherever she likes, Nancy, or she can stay there, i mean i am not trying to dictate anything here, just offering other valid perspectives ok. Elderly ppl die from long term low level smoke exposure. Every day. And she reports serious symptoms on another thread? i would be remiss to not do otherwise imo

I'm just saying it is not as easy to do that for some. She wears a face mask on the bad days, at least. I wish I lived near them, help them out somehow. She reminds me of my mom so, I have a special place in my heart for her. ♥

Bottom line is, this world has skewed the true meanings of words
funny thing there, the world also uses terms in a way that reveal likely more truthful perspectives, "my daughter is pregnant, i'm in hell" etc, so when you say the world changes definitions, i agree, but the religious world is the chief culprit there imo, "When we all get to heaven," etc
Are you speaking about our "first love" here?
i meant that in another context, but "first love" would be another good perspective there i guess, depending upon what one defines as their "first love" anyway, which i guess no two of those are the same either

I have a friend in California, him and his wife live this way, as well as a handful from this area...their land is out north of where I am. They built cabins, a huge garden, fruit trees...the works. I always loved that idea.
As far as your Trib. comment...I have no comment, lol.

ya, sounds great on paper, huh. And one can play at it, as they are doing...at least as long as they can pay the taxes. Bc it is not their land, as you say, that is just another convenient lie we tell ourselves now. That is "real estate," and there is a crucial legal difference. The king can take that "land" any time he wants, see, via a hundred diff legal maneuvers. Happens every day.

ok, but every other subject on this site is irrelevant by comparison imo.

It is impossible to even discuss faith-building concepts here bc of this, for the most part. How do you even discuss Life more abundantly with someone convinced of When we all get to heaven?

I will NEVER give up cheese!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol
cheese is actually different than milk, digests differently, i'm not up enough on the details to really say why, something about enzymes pre-digesting the milk? But i guess cheese from processed milk is still broken food, the calcium is still damaged, and the probiotics have all been sterilized, etc

Not sure what you mean by "broken food", but calcium remains calcium, and cheese is a rich source of calcium (Ca). Hard cheeses have 240 mg of calcium per 30 g of cheese. In contrast white bread has 6 mg of calcium per 40 g of bread.

I’ll read it! As long as you will agree to read

Catechism of the Catholic Church

Cover to cover......deal?
I got to the part which talked about how the church has the power to change what God wrote with His own finger in stone and I just can't accept that as true. But, I respect the church's position that such power is believed to be from God. I also share in the catholic church's disdain for Protestantism's claim that they only want "the Bible and the Bible alone" but choose to observe Sunday as a day of rest of which the Bible, as catholicism so rightly claims, knows nothing.

What causes depression ? We all get the "blues" from time to time, but major or chronic depression is that which takes a person down a "deep and dark road", often feeling there is no way out. There can be many factors, from physical to sexual to emotional to mental abuse or chemical imbalances within us caused just by our imperfection or through our own damaging desires.

The Bible book of Proverbs states: "Even in laughter the heart may feel pain, and rejoicing may end in grief ".(Prov 14:13) And at Proverbs 18, it says that "a person's spirit (or our will to live that motivates us) can sustain him through illness, but who can bear a crushed spirit ?"(Prov 18:14)

So, when a person has a "crushed spirit" or their will to live ebbs to nearly dying out like the flickering of a candle, they may feel that death has more value than life, creating a suicidal situation. Here is a startling statistic: The Calgary Herald (Canada, May 22, 2013) said that "some studies have shown that for every death by suicide, 200 people have attempted suicide and 400 people have thought about it."

So for one person that commits suicide, there are some 600 people that have either attempted it or given it thought. Hence, when we hear about a suicide, this is only the "tip of the iceberg" of people that are deeply depressed, that are on the border of taking their life.

There are Bible examples of loyal servants of God (whose personal name is Jehovah) who felt deeply depressed when extremely stressful situations arose. For example, after Elijah had proved that Jehovah was the "true God" in front of the Baal prophets at Mt Carmel and then having them all slaughtered at the stream of Kishon (northeast of Mt Carmel), resulting in wicked Queen Jezebel threatening his life, Elijah fled for his life.(1 Kings 18; 19:1-3)

Elijah, after having traveled about a "day's journey", and then sitting down under a broom tree, asked that he might die: "It is enough ! Now, O Jehovah, take away my life away, for I am no better than my forefathers (feeling that he had failed as did his forefathers)".(1 Kings 19:4)

Hence, even the most loyal servants of God can go through periods of intense depression. But to show that when people feel depressed, they need loving support, the account at 1 Kings 19 shows that an angel came to strengthen him, not condemning him.(1 Kings 19:5-8)

Even Jesus became "low" just before his execution by the Jews (the Romans were just "pawns" the Jews used Luke 23:1, 2, charging Jesus with sedition so that the Roman government would do the "dirty work" of his execution, 1 Thess 2:14, 15), so that Jehovah sent an angel to strengthen him.(Luke 22:43)

He felt so much agony at that time (carrying the extremely heavy load of the providing the ransom for obedient mankind, Isa 53:7, 8; Matt 20:28) that "his sweat became as drops of blood falling to the ground".(Luke 22:44) His anguish was so powerful that it is possible that he sweated with droplets of blood mixed in. And as Isaiah 53:10 says, that "it was Jehovah's will to crush him, and let him become sick" in order to provide the life-saving ransom for obedient mankind.

When we feel that a load is too great to carry, we may "crumble" under the stress, falling into depression.(compare Isa 53:12 that says of Jesus: "He carried the sins of many people, and he interceded for the transgressors") Thus, a person who is "down in the dumps" that seems to never go away, needs a "lifeline" or support network of loving people who encourage rather than discourage with disparaging remarks.(see Prov 25:11 that says: "Like apples of gold in sliver carvings, is a word spoken at the right time")

The apostle Paul wrote to the Corinthian Christians: "Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God".(2 Cor 1:3, 4)

Jehovah provides a guarantee that all depression will be a thing of the past, saying at Isaiah 65: "For look ! I am creating a new heavens (or government called God's Kingdom) and a new earth (or righteous "meek" ones who receive the earth as their "inheritance" forever, Ps 37:11, 29; Matt 5:5); And the former things will not be called to mind, nor will they come up into the heart (to cause pain and depression)".(Isa 65:17; see also Rev 21:3-5)

ya--scobies are free but no one wants to talk about cultured food or scobies i guess lol
@Nancy i would be curious what whole food you are getting that is not sterilized, for instance
Here is my diet. I tend to eat the same things allot. No processed anything, ever. No sugar, as a rule. Whole foods, love all fresh veggies. Love sweet potatoes-baked. Love cod fish, fresh...love sardines, berries of all kinds. Avocado and eggs about 3x weekly. Mixed green salads with broccoli, red peppers, boiled cut up breast of chix. Nuts, a few craisins, every color of every veggie I have on hand...lot's of chic peas...Fage yogurt, plain with a tbsp of organic honey for desserts pretty much nightly. Big fat pickles but, only once or twice a month. I am a cheese freak, although I know it is not all that great for me. I do not drink milk, only almond milk-not dairy, of course. I drink too much coffee :/ LOT'S of water. On my salads, pretty much daily, I always use a wine vinegar dressing with fresh ground pepper. I will be starting to make soups again, I make a mean bean and green, or kelp soup. It is apple season and I will and have been eating an apple pretty much daily, I LOVE NY apples in season, awesome! I love cantaloupe...I do like sauerkraut but only if I have a taste for it. So, There ya have it @bbyrd009 Oh yes, once in awhile I like a nice bowl of steel cut oats with fresh fruit :)

Obviously depression is a foreign term to you. That's good. You should patent your diet and make a fortune. That will be even less depressing.:)
