Hearing what?

The word that goes to your heart. The living word. The word that comes to you from God.

Man shall not live by bread alone but by everything that comes from the mouth of God.

OK, then why are you engaging here? Why am I being blamed for not having faith? I will wait until god decides to do something then I guess.
I'm not blaming you for not having faith. I'm just telling you how things work. All that the Father gave to Jesus will come to him. Nothing will prevent it. If you are one of the elect, you'll make it in sooner or later.

You could pray and then expect an answer...but in an unexpected way. A way you will have to be watching for. Watch and pray.

How do I know something is coming from god? Is it audible or an impression or thought. And then how do I know it is from your god and not Alah? or even satan?

If not then I will go to hell. So I guess I will just live my life the best I can and not worry if there is an afterlife or not. Why are people here arguing about anything? If god chooses who to save and who not to save then why have a bible in the first place, why discuss doctrine etc. It has no bearing on anyone's life.

So you want me to watch for an answer that will be unexpected. How is this even possible? It is nonsense.

Truth = freedom. So it's important to seek after it. Also happiness is an experience derived from following Christ.

Christians tell me that we can know god exists if we will honestly seek him and want to know he exists. Some say he wants a relationship with me. Many say that I will receive faith if I actively and honestly seek him. My question is why then do many Christians seek him honestly and want him to exist but never receive faith from god? Most atheists including me have a lack of belief because we at one time sought out god and god never responded. Many people honestly seek him and never gain a relationship, why?

This is why I believe any form of Christianity that does not preach the baptism in the Holy Spirit with signs and wonders following leaves it entirely up to the imagination of people as to whether they will believe or not, and I don't think God ever intended it to be that way. I believe He intended tangible manifestations of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and proofs of His Godhood being manifested through genuinely supernatural gifts to serve as evidence one could point to that their faith was NOT just a subjective experience.

But we've screwed things up and settled for less, and so atheists and agnostics contend for non-existence because of no personal proof. I had an agnostic friend once who was pretty strongly anti-Christian, but I still hold out hope that he will ask God to come into His heart some day. I believe that that experience in and of itself can be strong enough to likewise serve as a type of "proof." But God never intended Christianity to be a religion based purely on faith alone with no evidence of His existence. People who teach that have never actually experienced the outpouring before, and are operating solely on theory.

My two cents worth.

My sheep know My voice. Are you a loving kind of person? Can recognize pure love?

So then that is not faith. That is evidence. How do you define faith?

I am free from any fearful dogma. I am free to live my life by reason and morals. What good is it if for an infinitesimal amount of time I live by gods word then he throws me into hell because he chooses to.

The wrath of God is on all except for those in Christ. So even if things seem to be going well, it's short lived and the scales are eventually balanced.

Sure, but you are the one that told me I can do nothing to change my lot. So why should I care?
