That is why I am opposed to "easy believism". A lot of churches contain a lot of people who are basically deists who "kind of like Jesus". In other words--they barely even profess the faith--let alone confess the faith. Yes, salvation is the free gift of God, but eventually, your faith is going to cost you something.
For many Christians in the world today, it costs them their lives. Christians are being slaughtered in Sudan and in MANY places around the world. Much of today's new crop of young Christians in the West, think they are put upon, if asked to refrain from wicked activities in order to please Christ. There is a bit of disconnect there. Christians in Third World countries being slaughtered for their faith and, at the same time, "Christians" in the West who object to those who tell them they must refrain from sexual sin.
