Of course He already descended once in the flesh. But i was saying...coming BACK again.
Yes...and of course He is coming back in a physical, human body.

Because He is sitting on the right hand of the throne of God in a physical, human body.

It isn't constructive to argue the spiritual over the physical. BOTH are true. Both are realized in Christ who is both God and man.

There is the physical logos...we can read with carnal eyes. But there is also the spiritual rhema we hear with spiritual ears. These speak to the body and blood of Jesus Christ. One is visible and the other invisible.

The truth is where both come together. There is no point in championing one over the other. It is actually foolish to do so.

Has Jesus come already in the Spirit. Of course. He comes to us in the baptism of the Spirit and revivals of holiness.

Has Jesus come back in the flesh? Not yet. :)
You have touched on many points, and where I do not wish to argue, the point of this thread and discussion is to make clear what should already be clear...that all who confess and witness that Christ is in them have already seen His return, which began 2000 years ago; and also, that to look for Him to come in the flesh now, is either a denial that He ever came in the flesh in the first place and still has yet to come (as the Jews believe), or that when He came He did not "finish."

However, as it is written, when He appears again it is not in the flesh, but in "glory", the glory of the Father:

"If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth" Colossians 3:1-5

Meanwhile, "the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another" Galatians 5:17; and "Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God." James 4:4.

However, as it is written, when He appears again it is not in the flesh,
That is not written except perhaps maybe in some gnostic writings.

Jesus is in the flesh right now (1 John 4:1-3, 2 John 1:7); and when He returns He is not converting to a spiritual body.

You think that me speaking out against someone mocking God by attacking His holy [spiritual] nature, is me acting like God?

Cool--thanks for the compliment!

No you act like you know everything when you don't, none of us knows everything and all you have shown is hubris and pride.

Indeed, Jesus is in the flesh now, in His body, the church.

But you should go back and read all of what I quoted...including Colossians 3:1-5 which says that He does not appear in the earth, but in glory. And don't be so quick to call names when it comes to the Spirit.

And you show envy, rivalry, jealousy, backbiting, and a lack of faith and belief that God at the hand of Jesus has done what He promised, that the Holy Spirit would speak through men.

Go ahead...keep score!

I don't show anything but you show a judgemental attitude without even knowing me. Your right I don't believe the holy spirit is speaking through you I do believe your speaking out your butt. You have no authority, you have produced no ordination, no church backing so why should anyone believe a snake oil salesman?

What does it mean that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh, except that He is a human being like us?

To deny this is to fail the test of 1 John 4:1-3, 2 John 1:7.

Quotable. Self-witness. Amazing.

...I would say, Don't jump. But it looks like I'm too late.

Jesus hasn't come in the flesh? Wow--where have you been?

Apparently you missed it--it happened 2000 years ago!

So, what, you don't believe He came in the flesh 2000 years ago...so you're still waiting? Are you Jewish?

Are you saying that you don't believe that anyone has Jesus in them, that Jesus lied?

Of course not. The Holy Spirit is a separate personage from Jesus. Both are God and both are separate

You are not making yourself clear.

First you give an answer to a question you did not quote (post #111), which made it seem like you might be replying to the OP. But now you say "Of course not" as if you were not replying to the OP. But then you go on to comment on it as if maybe you were after all. But you then error in giving an explanation that says God is not One, but "separate."

Hmm

Well, no offense but you are hardly the clearest writer on this board
Frustrating isn’t it....

Jesus never told us to ‘accept His Spirit into our hearts’, Scott. The Bible tells us that if we believe in His death and resurrection for our sins we will be saved and that He was sending the Holy Spirit to minister to us.

Did Jesus come to us in Spirit? Well, God is everywhere

Jesus never told us to ‘accept His Spirit into our hearts’,
Jesus told us to receive Him (John 1:12) and that into our hearts (Colossians 1:27, 1 John 5:12).

How can we do that unless He is a Spirit?

I am not saying that Jesus hasn't or isn't come in the flesh.

I am saying that the 2nd and 3rd Persons of the Trinity (for the purposes of our understanding here) are both Jesus...that the Spirit of Christ is, in effect, Jesus Christ.
