The correct translation is "God those who have fallen asleep through Yeshuah will bring together to him", because the dead are asleep, awaiting the resurrection, hence,
For this we declare to you by a word from the Master, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Master, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Master himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in the Messiah will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Master in the air, and so we will always be with the Master.
1 Thessalonians 4:15-17
A soul without a body cannot see or think or hear, because those are functions of the body, which is why the soul sleeps at death, and also why a resurrection is necessary, to give the soul a new body. You have been deceived into believing a lie that souls do not sleep at death. Even the Tanakh teaches that the soul sleeps at death. Everything you believe and teach is a lie. You know nothing.
